Your Greatest Treasures

Posted By: Randy GageSeptember 10, 2012

Lao Tzu famously said he had just three things to teach and they were the greatest treasures:

Simplicity

Patience

Compassion

Pretty hard to argue with that.  And if we want to take it forward, we could arguably say this:  Simplicity, patience and compassion are the greatest things you can teach, the greatest things you can learn, the greatest things you can share – and the greatest things you can live.

  1. So true.. And there are so many other great sayings from the Master as well. Thanks for the reminder Randy. Patience, compassion and  Simplicity. If only the world would realize this we'd live in a more peaceful, abundant Universe.

  3. Of the three, Patience is my greatest challenge.  I wonder if my impatience is indicative of a lack of trust in the (goodness of) the future?  That's what my higher self seemed to be suggesting, in morning meditation time today.  Hmmmmm.....
I wonder how it is, for people who do NOT suffer from impathience?  What would my inner truth have to be, in order for me to manifest serence patience as I await the results I desire.  And, do Prosperous people experience this serene patience which, from my challenged perspective, seems like such a highly-desirable state.
Any hints or tips, Randy, on How To experience more Patience in our lives?  Ditto Compassion & Simplicity?  It's all very well to say, This is How We Ought To Be; I agree, but..... my big question is, HOW?

  5. Patience, I recall the Emerson quote RG. Adopt the pace of nature. RWE and LT knew patience was prospering. Delayed gratification. You can acquire good things quite quickly if your mental tools are tight. For most though, tidying up their mental game takes time, enter, patience. Thanks!
