Who You Become

Posted By: Randy GageMay 3, 2011

Sometimes when I’m teaching prosperity people fall victim to mind viruses and they think it’s about accumulating things.  But prosperity has almost nothing to do with that really.

Yes, money and materials things are nice and they can bring joy to your life.  So you don’t want to diminish them.  Never affirm statements like, “It’s just money,” or “They’re just things.”  Because all things (including money) at their core are energy vibrations.  And statements like that repel their energy.

Another bad mind virus you hear a lot is “How much is enough?”  Would you say that about love, or hugs or health?  I hope not.  So don’t say it about other forms of prosperity like money and material things.

But here’s the really sexy part…

As you get more money or more things, this means something special is happening.  The fact you are manifesting them is the universe’s way of letting you know that you are growing in consciousness.  Because all prosperity is a value-for-value exchange, it means you are sending good things out, and universal laws are demonstrating your manifestation.  And that’s where the real pay off is…

Because the things you get from success are great.  But the best reward is who you become.

      1. Wow Randy, reading your blog daily must really be having an effect on me. My exact thought before I read yours.

  1. Randy, A never ending journey. I am working hard at never affording the luxury of a lack thought. We killed the satellite tv... boy is that an energy and time suck. Now we are all (my wife & two sons & I) studying the discipline of prosperity consciousness. My 14 year old son is reading: Why your dumb sick and broke and just liked your fan page yesterday. For me it is re-training my mind, taking every thought captive on a subconscious level and not letting negative thoughts even hit my conscious mind, I find this the hardest when driving. To be a blessing even when no one can hear me is what I'm currently working on. Thanks Randy

  2. Randy,
A friend of mine said the other day, "He was so grateful to have gotten a job because it was just a great feeling to be working again and contibuting". I thought, of course he knows that he will get paid, but that wasn't the feeling. It was being a part of and doing that made him feel good.

I think that is a part of prosperity. Now if we can feel this way for a $400.00 a week job perhaps we could feel this way for a $100,000 a month income...

    Thanks,
    Jim

  3. In my own personal journey I've realized that success for me, is being connected to source and having learned who I am at the core of my being. It's not about the material wealth,or achievements but rather the wisdom to know that any of those things are possible and attainable simply because I am connected to source and have the ability to manifest in my life what ever I choose to that, for me, is success.

Thank you for your post and the work you do to elevate the consciousness.

  4. Great post Randy it's about the journey isn't it??? Compare the careers of Sean Penn and Nic Cage... saw Penn on the Actor's Studio and he says if you're going to do those crap movies why not get just an eight ball and a hooker... he basically said the same about Cage's choices... Cage just seemed and still does to do as many shitty movies as possible to keep buying things while Penn continues to do awesome work and do relief work in Haiti.. who do you think is more successful and happy???

  5. Love this.

In my little experience, the material stuff for sure ends up not being the biggest deal in the end of the experience.

But without the complete freedom to have and enjoy every part of that "stuff" aspect of prosperity, it seems to put a log jam in allowing the other things to flow.

    i.e.

"Yeah this is great, but I know I'm still limited in reality because I would really love to have this thing or experience and 'can't afford' it..."

Thanks, Randy, for the help in being congruent.

    Jason

  6. Striving toward success, sexy? Absolutely! ...

It's like removing one piece of outgrown clothing after another as you are bold enough to take steps toward your own magic. To me, the process is much more about stripping away what never belonged than trying to acquire things that do. 😉

Growing in prosperity doesn't make you ... it reveals you.

  7. I recently had my laptop die, and the main reason was I decided to be cheap, instead of focusing on the value it would add to my life. I regret it.

Constant tweaking, virus scanning, dead hard drive, installing the OS a couple times a year, etc.

I replaced it with Macbook Pro, because it's higher quality than a lot of laptops in the same price range or cheaper, and the software works better for me.

It was more expensive, but having a nice looking durable machine that allows me to be creative anywhere was worth the premium I paid for it.

Why can't you enjoy your work and your tools? 😉

  8. It's funny, when I first read to not affirm "It's just money", I had to stop for a second...

for some people, "it's just money" is a GREAT Affirmation because they might have a thought that money is this "big deal", when, just as you pointed out, it's "just energy", like everything else.

Kinda like saying "He's Just a Man" would be good for some single women, y'know?

  9. Love this one. When you grow in consiousness, your ability to reach out to the most you can be grows. That is why it is difficult for stressed people to learn anything/get knowledge. And people who really listen get the most of the music.People who grow in consiousness get more from the flow..

  10. Recently two different friends challenged me, at different times, about wanting Money & Success. Essentially they said, "That's a little incongruent..."

Hmmmm....I attracted that, so I gave it some serious consideration. "Okay," I thought, "if not money & success, What??"

Ahhh, I might have known: Here's my good teacher Randy, with the answer: Shift my focus from the Goal of Money & Success to the Goal of Growing in Consciousness.

That feels much more aligned with the real-me. As a step in that direction, I am challenging myself to develop the abiding practice of Serving. Service & Abundance/Prosperity, I'm told, are the inhale & exhale of my world.

  11. One actually needs an increase in money as one heads towards becoming all they can be in life. To reach one's full potential, one must have enough money for all resources they need to continue to grow and create what they can...be it learning new things, expressing one's talents, and more...

  12. I Love this: "As you get more money or more things, this means something special is happening. The fact you are manifesting them is the universe’s way of letting you know that you are growing in consciousness."

What a great reminder to look carefully for the abundance in my life - it's evidence that I really am growing in consciousness!!

prosperity is the joy on the road toward it.
prosperity is the gratefulness on the road toward it.
prosperity is facing challenges on the road toward it.

  14. Sometimes I don't have to know why something works, I know it just does. I am seeing this play out in my life just as you described it.

  15. Randy, i can absolutely agree with you. As i remember, Jim Rohn said, i think it was hes "not so matter the moment when you achieve you goal, more metter is what you become by achieving you goal".

Something like that. We have to grow up all the time. Randy, do you take part in charity? Like giving 10% of every month income.

  16. When Jim Rohn spoke in Geneva in 1999, he closed the meeting with the following. My wish is for everyone in this room to become a millionaire - not for the money but for the person you become in the making! And even if you lose it - you know you can do it and you can do it as many times as you chose."
