Who You Become

Posted By: Randy GageJanuary 20, 2012

Someone commented on my YouTube channel that is actually wasn’t good to get everything you want right away.  They probably thought I was going to argue, but I didn’t.

In fact, it’s usually better if you don't get everything you want, and or at least not right away.  Here’s why…

Usually many of the things we want to do, have, or become - require us to grow.  And that is the real hidden benefit:  Because the best reward of becoming prosperous is not the money and things you collect, or even how you get to live – it is who you become.

Somebody give me an Amen!

  1. Amen! Sometimes you actually get validation on who you are becoming too. Yesterday I received an out-of-the-blue lightening bolt of a compliment that will take me a few days to process and accept since it was so powerful.

  3. Amen RG! It's the value for value exchange - you get more when you become more. I love what Jim Rohn says about this: Become a millionaire, for what it will make of you to achieve it. Boom!

  5. I don´t know what to say... Who I become? I become what I feel inside I already am. I become more being... I become pure energy. I become infinite. I supposed that when I realized growing... that the grow hasn´t end. 2 days ago I saw after long time again the film Powder. And I realized that this is about. I feel this unconditional love inside and everyday improve my skills to BE, exist, love and enjoy the life in material form. Living unlimited. This what I feel..

  6. Amen! or, well, maybe not...... dang, do I really have to wait? Oh man, I just hates it when What I Want seems to be taking forever to get here. I'd love to pretend this isn't how-I-am, but when it comes down to the crunch, I have to deal with my own impatience. For example, I'm waiting for the fully-qualified, appreciative new owner of my home to show up & sign on the dotted line. Won't it be great when they do? That will feel so good! But it's been two weeks already! I want 'em NOW!

Thanks, Randy, for the reminder that there may be good reason why God's timing isn't exactly the same as what my timing would be if I was in charge. His Timing sent your message along today - I guess this is part of His plan, as I learn to live with & love Divine Right Timing. Goodness knows it's not a new issue in my life. Remind me again: God's got a plan for this. After it happens, I'll be looking back and saying, "Gosh, that was great that the new buyer signed on the dotted line today. The timing is exactly right -all the other pieces of our move to the New Home are Perfectly Aligned with today's event, AND I've improved through the process. Bring on the future, NOW I am ready for it."

    Amen to that. love, Elaine

  8. Randy,

How many times in the media have we seen people who have talents, skills and money - but their life is a wreck. They can't related to others in their family and outside their family. There can't handle who they are. Success should be define differently to cover more than what we do for a living or how much abundance of things we collect.

It's funny, but maybe not that I was just reading about this very thing in the bible this morning.

  12. Amen!

It is all about who we become as we pursue all that we want. The wanting gives us ample urging to become more. To learn, grown and expand.

Creation stems from desire. If we experienced all we desired instantaneously we wouldn't have the time to refine our desires. Plus it is not possible to have "everything" we want anyway. The moment we achieve or "get" everything we desire we will desire more. That's part of the point of our being here is to create new desires and allow them into our experience. It's the nature of life.

There is an experience in which we have all our desires instantaneously. Most call it death. That's one way to look at it but I don't believe that's true either because I believe the moment (time is an illusion) that we transition back into Non-Physical we have, once again, the desire to go back to the playground (here) to want/create/expand some more.

It's very easy for me to look at my life and see that it's through my discomfort, which fosters desire (wanting), that has brought me the most joy and fulfillment. It's all about the feeling of growth and expansion.

Blah Blah Blah all that... The point is simply to find Joy in the wanting. You will ALWAYS want. Ain't it great?

  14. Amen Randy, everything has a reason... Reason in bigger picture..

I feel a great respect for how the world is arranged ... even in its seeming confusion. More and more I notice the perfect connectedness of everything and everyone. How is it possible that people from around the world will meet to the time when exactly they need, they need to pass? I'll make a decision in the morning and I change their usual travel route into town and meet a man who just needed to hear what I say? Or vice versa? How wonderful! So I think that even what to us seems like a really "bad" is actually in this larger pattern right. The right to development right to make the puzzle pieces fit. Why all the tragedy in the world have brought even more? More peace and love? What if it went directly? What would it be? I become... and I am grateful. M.

  16. You get my Amen to this was well, Randy.

If we don´t (slowly) grow into the new one we are able to become, we couldn´t hold onto what we gained and would lose it. If we enter a new field in life, we should/have to go there on our own to be able to "be" who we are in a long-term.

And no, it´s primarily not about money once the pawn becomes a queen after a long journey.

    😉

  18. I think that is a great point that you make. I know when I started practicing the laws of prosperity I believed that any day now the heavens would rain prosperity, abundance, and wealth in ways that I could only dream of. Not to say that that perspective is a bad one. I started wating and waiting and waiting, then I started wondering to myself, why in the hell is nothing happening the way I want it to and I had to contemplate and ask the Universe what was the real cause of my distress.

I think the answer is stated plainly as I came across this article. BAM, it hit me like a lightening flash, it's because the Universe compells us to change and become something more then we can possibly imagine ourselves to be and the best rewards will come when the Universe knows we are ready. If it was to come now it might be overwhelming or we may not yet be ready. The Universe is a living, breathing, moving force that compells us to become our greatest potential. It looks at things in the long run not the immediate moment. I would like to give an example, a person running a marathon would not be able to do so without the proper conditioning, (eating, running, stretching, sleeping) if that person were to try they might fail cause their body, mind, and spirit might not be ready for that. So in the same respect preparing ourselves to receive the natural virtues takes time and an awakening. Enough said.

    Thanks Mr. Gage

    Peace Profound

And speaking of Who you become, has anyone seen the rockumentary called "Amazing Journey: The Story of The Who" ??

And speaking of Who you become, has anyone seen the rockumentary called "Amazing Journey: The Story of The Who" ??

If we don´t (slowly) grow into the new one we are able to become, we couldn´t hold onto what we gained and would lose it. If we enter a new field in life, we should/have to go there on our own to be able to "be" who we are in a long-term.

      Thanks Mr. Gage
