That title above can be one of the most empowering questions you ever ask. Because it’s all about repositioning and reorienting yourself, after an outcome that may not be very positive.
I was having this conversation with Wes Linden last week, the day he had his car stolen. He came here to Vegas for the TRIBAL event, and now he’s excited to get home to have his new car delivered.
I had a similar experience when my yellow Viper RT10 convertible was stolen. I had listed the car for sale one week before. I was expecting to take a loss, because I had upgraded the car with $5,000 rims, racing exhaust, and a lot of other high performance items that don’t get you any resale value. But in Florida, the insurance law requires that the claim is paid on replacement value, so I received more in the settlement that I had actually listed the car for.
Often the bad thing we experience is still bad, but there are hidden benefits that come anyway. When the catastrophic tsunami hit Asia scientists said the salt water would destroy agriculture there for decades. The exact opposite happened. Rice and other farmers are reported the highest yields they had ever seen the following year or two. The ocean water brought all kinds of unexpected nutrients to fertilize the land there.
Yes, you’re going to face difficulties and challenges. Life is sometimes cruel and unfair. But instead of letting it beat you down, sometimes you have to get up, dust yourself off, and ask:
What good can come from this?

Now that is really surprising.
This is so true. I have a lot of health problems this past year but have continued to do all the things that I need to do to get my network marketing business going. I have just thought what good is coming from this problem. The good is I have time to do the things that I need to do otherwise I would make the excuse that I am too busy and my business would have remained on the back burner but now I have to do these things because I have to work from home.

Hey Randy! Bro, I haven't been keeping up with the blog lately (been distracted I guess) but I'm catching up on a few this morning. Anyway, dude I LOVE this one. Such a powerful question that sets up a positive expectation. To quote something I heard you say years ago "we don't get what we deserve, we get what we expect" and asking yourself what good can come from this sets you up for a positive expectation.
