Tithing, Karma, and Payback

Posted By: Randy GageApril 5, 2020

One of the fascinating beliefs of religion is the notion of how the actions you take (or don’t) influence the response you receive from the world around you.  In the Bible there are unforgiving examples such as “an eye for an eye,” and beautiful ones such as the concept of tithing.  Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism, Taoism, and Sikhism all speak of karma.

Tithing is thought of as giving back to the source of your spiritual nourishment.  Karma is thought of as a rebirth in some faiths, while overall, most would think of it as an equation of how your actions impact your future.

As most readers know, I believe most religious dogma and doctrines are harmful, but believe we should strive to live a spiritual life.  For those reasons, the concepts of both tithing and karma speak deeply to my soul.

I don’t view karma and tithing as precise arithmetic exchange.  For instance, I’m not convinced in reincarnation, and doubt some of you are here paying penance for something you did in a previous lifetime.  And I don’t think if you tithe 10 percent, the prosperity in your in your life increases by exactly 10 percent.  I believe the equation is skewed: You can’t out-give the universe. The prosperity you circulate is magnified in return, so you receive disproportionately more back.

I don’t know all the science underlying it and doubt anyone really does.  But drawing on physics, we do know that at its ultimate level, everything is energy vibrations.  And we know energy can be attracted or repelled.  This means that eventually the universe will always get its tithe or reward its karma.  If that is the case…

Why not choose to act and tithe by choice in ways that produce the most prosperous outcomes?

Peace,

- RG

  1. Thithing, what a thing, I cirumnavigated the planet to find my wife, to no avail, in the end I requested Spirit to sort this dilemma out, within 2 months a random nite in the saucy kettle (a pub uk) I met my wife, 2 months later she was pregnant, we now have 3 children.... I have always struggled with money thanks to my father telling me I was virtually useless from a very young age... now I get to thinking, if spirit can create my wife, then also the spirit can create CASH, so I adopted the process of thithing, well I had to because everything else I tried just got me a dribble of cash,
I now have a product that will not stop selling, with repeated sales due to the nature of the product... this only happened once I started thithing on a regular, permanent basis... BLESS YOU RANDY , if I never met you I would never have heard such information. Love as always. Graham UK

  2. Tithing is the real deal. In the Bible, Genesis 14:18-20, tells the story of Melchizedek a King of Salem blessing Abram, and Abram in turn gave him a tithe. Abram was a very rich man, but when you are faithful and obedient God will bless you with more than riches, in Abram case he was bless with a son. When we give our tithes I give 10% gross from my salary and then some. During the current crisis that we are all facing, I can truly say that all my needs are met and every bill is paid. I hope that this will encourage your readers.
Be bless, strengthen, and encourage in His Name.

  3. Hi Randy. What if you don't believe in your church or any spiritual organization for now? We live in a place with limited choices. (Most organizations are Catholics). And instead of tithing, you give 10% of your gross income to charity or any other organization you believe in? Would that count? Thanks in advance!

  4. You are right Randy. In fact, what you have just observed is very critical. Your Books are very helpful in this era for me to go forward. Stay well and continue receiving wisdom from the Supernatural.

  5. What people do not realise about Karma is that is a law of God or whatever you want to call it. As a universal law everyone and everything in the Universe is ruled by it. Most people think it is punishment for past deeds, but this is not true. It imposes limitations so that lessons are learned to advance spiritually. If you fail to learn the lesson, you will experience it again in another life. Ultimately Karma is a force that pressures everything back to the source.

  6. My favorite 'Karma' thought is wonderfully expressed by Zig:

"You can have everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want.

I have used this statement for nearly 50 years as a foundational truth, and never is the concept more accurate than when managing yourself and others.

Important: I'm talking about a principal and not tactic. As a tactic the words would be crass and ineffective. As a principal the concept works because it makes others want your leadership." -Zig Ziglar

  7. I've been tithing for a decade now at least. This discipline and source of joy, is beyond a "must" or "should"; it's a way of being now. Even when setbacks occurred, I tithed and still tithe happily. It expands our soul to do so. Tithing of time, talents & treasure will enable expansion when you might be inclined to "contract with fear". I'm honing this skill and discipline.
Peace be with all; prosperity is impersonal.
