Tithing for Prosperity

Posted By: Randy GageDecember 29, 2009

Today’s blog is video, on the prosperity topic of tithing.  I have some affirmations afterward.  Let me know what you think.

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LeHK77AkDoQ]

Prosperity Affirmations for Tithing:

Divine love, through me, blesses and multiplies, all that I am, all that I have, all that I give, and all that I receive.

I give thanks for the good that has come and is still coming to me.

I celebrate the source of my abundance and give thanks for its continued manifestation.

  1. Randy you were the one who showed me tithing and then, like you, I picked up the Catherine Ponder books and continued to study about it. Like you my life was a complete mess and figured I had nothing to lose by giving away 10%. I'm not religious though I am spiritual and I believe that my continued tithing has helped me grow and prosper in the last 2 years. Any time one of my friends is "stuck" I ask "when was the last time you tithed"? Of course I get crazy looks (I love getting them now) because so many things go RIGHT in my life that can't be explained other than tithing. I send a check off weekly to either Unity Worldwide or Unity in MO. Again I am not a member of either church but have felt the greatest support from their literature and online site! Tithing teaches that you must give first before you receive, and that faith can move planets:)
Happy and Prosperous New Year Everyone!

  2. After first reading The Richest Man in Babylon I started to put away 10% each month. I know that's different to tithing but here's the outcome.
I actually started finding ways to make more money, not to make more money, but to put more away.
If you have ever had that feeling then you know what I mean.

    PS: Love the video concept.

  3. Good to see the Unity offering affirmation up there.

One of my favorite moments during service is blessing and charging up my offering.

At first, for a long time, I was under the impression that the tithing had to go to a 'church'.

Then I read somewhere and finally got it. It can go to whatever gives me that spiritual hit, and boy are there a lot of things out there that does that.

I love, love tithing. Mike Dooley stated once that whenever he feels a bit in 'lack' he donates to his favorite charity. Love it.

    In Gratitude,

    Jhanna

  4. I love what Dani Johnson says on this topic, paraphrased;
"If you're doing everything you can to get ahead without tithing, and it's just not working out so well, you're being disciplined financially."

Since the moment I read it, my wife and I promised to take the first 10%.. and tithed.

I realized almost immediately... it's not giving to God when He gave it to us first. I used to feel that I needed it.. that I should tithe to myself because I was the poor God needed to help.

Twisted, I know - but literally a lightning bolt hit me the first time I did it; I never considered any of my money "mine"... from then on, giving 10% was a given - not an option.

And it's at that point that the gates to all the storehouses are opened to you.

Randy - if I may add, even a church can be a charitable organization - therefore... give in cash only, without filling out an 'envelope' or ask for a receipt for giving.

The tithe must be given with no expectation for return.

    Just Faith.

    -Paul

  5. Thank you for the video! I have waited for a new one 🙂 As usually, nice to see such positive, strong, cognitive information not only by words, but also with image and sound.

I have trying to understand this law through some time, but aren't able do this complete as yet. I know that I have several spiritual sources: my wife, my friends, you Randy, creative power of other people. So, I can't give my wife money, but I do some things only for her, so I think this is the tithe for her. For my friends I buy some good presents and do many things disinterested (but I know, it returns). As for you... I bought a dozen of your books (and also presented a part for my friends because have duplicates) and I have try to bring through this blog some of my sincere thoughts, as like you do this for us all the time, especially with books. Do you think this is tithe?

    Thank you, Klym Nikiforov.

  6. Thanks Randy for that.. it's a topic that is tossed around a lot, but your direction for it was like a lightning bolt for me.

Thank you for that..I also loved the commenter who stated that "he never really thought" it was his money. That's a different way of looking at things. Very cool.

What a great post for our new decade!

  7. Randy I have seen the tithe work time and time again. I must say that since I lost my businesses, I have gotten away from tithing because I was looking at my lack. Thanks for reminding me again. I will once again began to give 10% to my Church. Thank you for helping me see so many issues that are helping me regain my prosperity.

  8. It´s fantastic comment Randy !

I really believe on this principle !

But I also believe more that we must to give without no expetation to receive anything back. Just GIVE...and we´ll be blessed !

    All the best in 2010

  9. Great thoughts today. I have found in my life that often times I have been most blessed when I have given more than I thought I could. Amazing what a leap of faith can do. A favorite quote from a favorite movie character, Dolly Levi in Hello Dolly: "Money is like manure-It's not worth anything unless you spread it around!"

  10. Wow. I find this video really fascinating, but I think I need to watch it a few more times. I believe what you're saying, but I'm finding some of it hard to accept - not the part about giving away money, but what you call "tithing." I stopped going to church 10 years ago when I moved out of my parents house, and I honestly feel like I would rather give money directly to charity than to a church. It isn't that I'm not open to a spiritual practice, I guess I just haven't found one that I feel connected with yet...any ideas how to start that process? What are some "sources of spiritual nourishment" besides the institutions you have mentioned here?

Also, my parents always put money in the basket at church, and they had my brother and I contribute as well, but I never saw any significant improvement in their financial situation - they are doing fine, but not creating wealth. Then again, they are not business owners. My dad is an employee, and my mom actually lost her job this year. But they are some of the most religious people that I know.

I have a copy of "The Richest Man in Babylon" by my bed - I think I need to start reading it tonight! Also would appreciate advice from you Randy, or anyone in this community.

    Thanks,
    Beth

  11. Randy, firstly I would wish you a merry christmas and happy new year, and of course let you dreams come true if it make your life better. And of course I'd like to thank you for your book "Why you are...''. But I want to tell you that I couldn't start to read this book for a long time because I didn't like the title. I have always think that I am healthy, wealthy and happy and I wish you the same. Nether the less, I wonder if I can consider you to be my teacher of busuness?

  12. Thank you for reiterating this again Randy! After hearing you speak on this and then reading about it in Catherine Ponder's book, I have taken up the practice of tithing and am seeing results already!

  13. Mark Victor Hansen has a free book on the web called The Miracle of Tithing (or something like that). Google it..it's a great add to Randys stuff and Catherine Ponders stuff too!

  14. Agree with Beth, I was raised in Catholic religion, my parents tithed to the Church every week and never had enough money so finding that one hard to accept. Also I stopped going to church when I was 18 (I'm now 50) as it did nothing to encourage or support my spirituality, the person who did help me at that age has now passed over.
I do not belong to any organisation so charity donation would be the only way forward for me (or should I be tithing to the individuals like yourself and my Native Elders who have also helped my development?)
    Bit confused.

  15. Tithing;

Randy - your video on this topic for me was 100% spot on. I cannot tell you how many times my giving has come back to me 2 and 3 fold. However there is a much deeper message in this video that most people who actually give through tithing understands.

    Roy

  16. Thank you Randy for this great video.

Also thank you for pointing me out to Catherine Ponder books, there are just so many things I didn't know about prosperity and prosperous thinking.

Both, you and Catherine are such an inspiration for me I believe the best way to thank you both is to put the laws into work and be prosperous.

  17. I would have never thought about the mind conditioning that I recieved from movies like the Titanic but after listening to your views I very much agree and can plainly see the underlying pattern. Do you happen to have an example of a movie or a show that has the opposite affect. I would love to watch and see the difference played out.
    Thanks for every word.

  18. Randy, This is amazing I tithed yesterday $27 to my Church (That I hardly go to) But I dropped of the Church Envelope after I watched your video yesterday.  Today I picked up my mail, It was sitting there for a few days,  and I got two checks.  One for 1.87 and one for 15.28  It's hard to believe But It's True.  The Checks were mailed out On November 30. Still, it happened and that to me is amazing because it's exactly what you talked about.  I just had to share this!
