The Timing of Success

Posted By: Randy GageOctober 2, 2014

We often talk about the difference between management and leadership. So how about if you take it one level higher and stop trying to manage your time and start leading it?

You can piss away money, yet always earn more. Even squandered health can often be restored. But one thing that never comes back is lost time.

If you had to isolate the single most important thing you can do to create success and prosperity in your life, it would probably come down to how you utilize  your time.

  1. Thanks Randy... I never believed in MLM and watching the videos of "safe is the new risky" and "live your dreams" helped me a lot to understand and believe... thanks to that it's been a year of growing and looking for prosperity... Thanks for all your advices and for creating an impact in my life... Hopefully one day i'll get to see one of your conferences.
    God bless you.

  2. Randy,
    Another great message...

Sage advice, once the time has passed, we can no longer get it back.
Another thing to this point, is that once the time is gone, we shouldn't look back on that time and fret or regret how we squandered it. But look forward to not making the same mistake twice and make more of the moment and the time ahead of us.

  3. So very true Randy. Wasted time is the worst. I passed away a whole bunch of it that's for sure. I'm so glad I made the decision not to waste another minute. . Thanks for doing what you do.

  4. "So how about if you take it one level higher and stop trying to manage your time and start leading it?"
Really spoke to me today.  Thank you Randy.

  5. As a new subscriber and student of the "I.L.T." Invest Learn Teach philosophy, th realization is that "managing time" (or leading time) is much about "managing your energy" ~ credit Ray Higdon, author of the acronym I.L.T. and philosophy
I think your phrase "leading time" is an "phrase appropriation" of these two concepts RG. Thankyou, very thought thought provoking and worth a blogpost  #grateful

  6. Thank you Randy
I know that It is true,
what you are saying. I’m quite over fifty. My health is restored. My posture is
better than anytime in my life. I gain a great relationship, but we don't know
how to gain enough money to enjoy it fully. And how to gain money and time is
    quite an issue for me.

  7. Lead, manage, and utilize are all done in the perspective of your priorities - your goal - your vision. It all starts at a very high level of awareness.

  8. Time is an illusion just like the rest of (our own) creation. It is also an illusion that we manage, that we lead, that we can influence and change. We do not drive the "bus" we are in, we are mere passengers. It is our expanded self that drives, leads, manages. Sit back and enjoy the ride.
"And in case I don't see ya...Good afternoon, good evening and good night"

  9. I set some goals... For now/ this month, quarter /year...and the future... 1-1.5 years out and further out... It will take growth... Change... Work... And to do it in a prosperous way.
For work I need to keep track of when I work and do the best job I can when there.
For school I also have to keep track if when assignments and sets are due...and do my best
For my business I need to fit it into my life... And build it while living & enjoying life...do my best...
    And keep getting better...
For personal development, health etc I have to find ways to fit them in without sacrificing.
We all have the same time every day... But I think we all use it differently... We have different things we Focus on.
We all have comfort zones and to grow I think we need to move out of our comfort zones.

  10. lifetosuccess not wasted time if we learn from it, don't dwell on it, let it go & move forward... change... enjoy the present... and the gift the past has given us...

Thinking if we are grateful for our past... forgive...we can be grateful for present & future also.

  12. Hi RG,
Penning these words overlooking the bay, and Pacific Ocean in Savusavu, Fiji. I went from bound to free, circling the globe, as a full-time, pro blogger, by choosing how I spent my time according to what I value. I build my day around writing eBooks - #4 coming out tomorrow - writing blog posts, networking with leaders, working on my mindset, and of course, doing neat stuff you'd do in Fiji. It's a wonderful life, but it only came into form because I chose to use my time doing what I most valued, and I built that list of values on what made me sing, life-wise. We really can live a miraculous life when we assess why we're doing what we're doing.
RG, you've inspired me for years. From my heart, the recording you did a while back, with Joe Vitale - maybe how to manifest a new car, I don't know - changed my life because things started to click. I've been improving, and growing, and learning, and expanding, but in truth, I really came into my own when I ditched my old blog, and spent my time wisely, working on a blog which shares my life story, so I can inspire other folks to retire to a life of island hopping through smart blogging.
My eBooks have been tweet endorsed twice by a NY Times Best Seller, I've been asked to speak at NYU, and I've been circling the globe for the past 41 months, living in Bali, Fiji, Thailand, Costa Rica, and other hot spots, and your simple and powerful wisdom, and positive energy, inspired me to mold this life. Had to say it dude....on that note, going offline to rest, because that's what I'm valuing now 😉
Vanaka Vaka Levu from Savusavu, Fiji, Randy! We love ya! Tweeting soon.
