The Wonder of Life

Posted By: Randy GageDecember 13, 2010

We talked in yesterday’s post about letting people know that you love them.  Of course that’s important, because we never know when we will see then again.  But there is another reason as well…

Because hopefully you will see them again!

Let’s not just appreciate people because we may not see them again.  Let’s never take them for granted and appreciate them all the time, for the joy they bring into your life.  This gratitude mindset attracts a lot more prosperity to your life.  And it isn’t just about people…

How many flowers, trees and other greenery do you drive by every day, on your way to work?  What are the sounds outside your bedroom window at night?  Whether it’s waves crashing, crickets chirping or the bustle of city life, there is beauty in that.

What is that one special talent or skill you have, that you do better than anybody?   Think about your favorite shirt, your most comfortable jeans, the food you love the most, and your favorite song of all time.

Be grateful for the wonder of life all around you, and watch how much more good you attract into your life.

  1. Right on Randy!! my gift is a rapier wit when talking or writing about food and wine... and a fav song.. changes all the time.. keep your ears open... I went to a Joe Cocker show.. he did My Love is Alive.. I thought this is a lame song.. but man, he just rocked it.. check it out on youtube... my heart is on fire! my soul is like a wheel that's turning! Right on man! If that doesn't get your blood pumping.. Jack you're dead! or you're listening to Neil Sedaka!

  2. You know honestly, what everyone wants to hear is something like," Oh Randy everytime you write a blog an angel gets his wings". And, "Oh Randy I love you so much for all you do". Maybe a few tearful stories too.

So, today I read his blog. Usually, I look at it with a critical eye as some of you know. Today I appreciate what Randy says. Why? Because I have learned the wonder of my own strength and conviction these days. And I can tell you that honestly, it makes me very happy. I don't care if any of you sappy sycophants agree with me or not. I don't even care if Randy throws me off the blog for saying that.

Truth is I would never share some of the stories you all share on these blogs. Why? Well it makes you a victim. Rescpect yourself enough to be careful what you share. Sometimes sharing is helpful, sometimes it makes you look, well quite pitiful. And, it may rob you of some of your personal power. People, stop giving your power away to Randy. Seek professional help if you need it, but well, maybe stop sharing such personal stories with people you may not even know.

Next, don't love Randy. Love his message. But, also realize it isn't original. All the things he talks about have been around for a long time. And really, all the wisdom you ever need is contained within yourself and has been, since the day you were born. Don't get me wrong it's great if Randy's book helped you to be a better person. But, really in the end, I think he justs likes money. Sorry Randy, no offense really, just my personal opinion. So, Use his message if it helps you. But know you are the one in control.

I am in wonder of myself. I am strong and beautiful and talented. I care about others and I love my family with all my heart. I had the courage to stand up in a blog community that worships it's leader without thinking too much about what's right and what's wrong. And I am not a Victim!

I am also in wonder of the truth and how precious it is. If you have truth and love on your side that's all you need.

So Randy, I read your book. Read it a couple of times in fact. I really liked it. It was a chance to hear a message I have heard over and over again but somehow never made sense to me. For some reason the one important message that I really needed at this time, was one that only you could teach me. I don't know why. But that really is the truth. I guess it was the right time for me and you the right person to hear it from.

So strangely, I found the rest of the message in your book completely abhorrant to me. And, I still do. I won't say which one, because we both know, and I don't care if the rest of them do or not. And, yes that makes me happy to say. So maybe if you think hard about it, you can figure out which message did help me out. And I won't give anyone here anymore of myself than that.

I am in wonder of how much light and dark there is in the world. And I stand here in wonder of myself that I am able to decipher it out. Without this blog I may not have realized this so much.

Annie is signing out. I am finished with my fight here. I'm sure you will be glad to hear that Randy. So take care, and go out there and get that money boy. But, Please, Please, at least think about my arguments, and I will continue to think about the beliefs you hold, even though I don't agree with them.

    Peace.
Oh, thanks for at least having the courage to not ban me, that would have made you a really big weenie head! 🙂

    1. Annie,

I was holding back in replying to any of your posts. But in this last one I need to state a few points.

Firstly, there is never a need to be rude. Don't confuse that with courage. True courage is about grace. Something that most people & Randy himself have shown you more of than you have with some of your comments. Assuming that people here worship him without thinking is one of them, and saying that he has less substance than other people here is another. Just because his ideas is different than yours does not mean it's less substantial. It's just different. That's it. You can take it & try to learn from it, or you can throw it out. But it never gives you the right to attack someone. Especially someone you know nothing about. This is just plain courtesy.

Secondly, there is always a simple way to gauge whether anyone is substantial or not. Results. This blog & its author is about helping other people create results in their lives to break through and live their dreams. Does that person's teachings & philosophies empower or dis-empower other people? He has helped hundreds of thousands of people around the world move forward in their lives positively with his teachings with REAL results, not just talk - and that alone deserves respect. Respect does not equate blind following.

So Annie, I hope I have not come across as too harsh. But I gauged that a woman like you would appreciate straight talk, so I'm talking straight & in contribution. You brought some great points to the posts about critical thinking, but diluted it with comments that disrespected other people. Your comments would have been very much more powerful backed by grace, instead of cynicism & anger, which only showed insecurity. But yes, you are powerful for sure - just remember that that power can empower or dis-empower. Blessings to you.

      1. No Jamie, your good. I never find being called rude, insecure and cynical harsh. In fact girl, I use that as a barometer to determine how well someone likes me. Thanks for the input.

    2. Annie the Antanogonist is leaving after such a short visit? Come back Annie, nothing will test a principle better than a challenge.

      1. Thank you I love that title. What is interesting about titles though, is that probably on a different blog, like a Michael Moore blog or some socialist feminist group I would be a protaganist, a big hero. So Randy is right never look at titles. I am rather enjoying my ignominy. I feel like Hester from "The Scarlett Letter", only I didn't have an affair.

Maybe I will return when you least excpect it with some more devisivness. If I am allowed. Although, I think this really helps Randy. Look at all the loyalty that was inspired, everyone rushing in to defend him. He may even gain some new followers. Who knows. To think I did it for free. Good grief, I will truly never get this man's message right. Bye, ED 🙂

        1. If the medium is the message, then the content is the audience.
I check into this blog to learn things only from a prosperity standpoint and filter out things I find useful. I don't agree with everything Randy says, but I am not here to argue, just learn what I can. I see you disagree with his Political Philosphy and there is nothing wong with that.
All the best to you, Annie.

    3. What you see here or read in his book is Randy's version of the Truth. It is his Truth and what has worked for him. In his book he may point out the faults he believes many are suffering from and how it may enlighten them for their own good. Did Randy write that book out of the goodness of his heart or to make money? Maybe it was both. Yet that is besides the point. By their actions shall ye know them. Randy provides this Blog and extends the courtesy to read all the comments. Even this Blog itself is a courtesy. It is designed to offer insights to enrich one's life. Take them as they are. Even though I have been blessed with infinite wisdom at birth, I still find this Blog helpful.

      1. He may have wrote it out of the goodness of his heart, but he should mix self-help, sprititual, and positivity training with his own politics. Politics does not mix with self help books. It's wrong, it is in my opinion a little like brain washing or some cult thing. So let Randy have his truth about what he thinks would be politically correct, but keep his thoughts to himself.

If he is going to enter the political arena, he may have to tangle with people like me. Because I believe his political views could hurt the people I wish to protect as a social justice advocate.

As you notice, your Grand BooBahs views didn't hold up. Because he has to know he is little wrong for what he is doing. He is taking people down a road of self help, religious thought, and wealth attainment and then shoving a political stance down their throat. This is why Mr. Gage will not engage me. He is afraid.

        1. Oh dear, there is my typing for ya again. Meant to say and I repeat. HE SHOULDN'T MIX POLITICS WITH HIS SELF HELP MESSAGE. Whew!

          1. I don't come to this Blog for Political Philosophy lessons because I have my own ideas about that. I too am aware of the realities many people face.

    4. Annie,
I didn't read your comment earlier. As I'm reading it now, I can't help but add my comment, too. I'm sorry to tell you this but I find it very difficult to understand your mentality as to why you have to come this far, attacking Randy. This page is Randy's property and his community where people look forward to visiting and enjoy their time reading his posts. I would like to ask you please to respect people, and not disrespect them. Thank you. God bless!

    5. Chiming in here as someone who has been reading this blog for a few months now. Personally, I don't look at Randy as a messiah nor do I follow him blindly. I think you characterize most of the readers here incorrectly also in the same manner. I come here to read this as it is a great source of mental stimulation. I've seen a lot of debate here, which is definitely healthy, but wow... yours is over the top. To sum up, your comments lead me to believe that you thrive on controversy, and you also have a lot of free time on your hands. I guess the latter could be a good thing. Wish I had that much free time!

  3. It's true it is very easy for our human nature to take things for granted and forget to appreciate. Keep reminding myself, too that the gratitude mindset attracts good things to our life.

Yes, the beauty of nature - flowers in the field, branches of the trees swaying by the wind, giving our heart the comfort we need... the smell of the greenery as we walk by that takes us to some nice old memories, and we realize we are fully alive! The fact that we have the ability to feel, sense, and see things and people so beautifully is truly awesome. We smile, laugh, and cry... and to think about it... it is amazing. Dogs and animals can't do that!

    >>>What is that one special talent or skill you have, that you do better than anybody? <<<

  4. I have to say one more thing to Kimbralee. No matter what I will buy your book. Thank you for your kindness. While I am way to old to have you for a Mom. I think I would have loved being a daughter to someone like you. I hope it doesn't hurt your credibility to be associated with me now. Oh well. Thanks. I learned a great deal from you.

    Annie

    1. Annie,

I wasn’t going to post a response to this blog today, instead I was going to take a deep breath and spend time BEING in wonder, rather than writing about being in it. However, I feel compelled to respond to you once only here, since you called me out directly - but I will certainly keep it shorter than my last few posts.

Today I am in wonder, Annie, of the mysterious way in which the Universe works. How it brings people, and information and emotion together at just the right time, and in just the right place, so that each player gets what they need from the experience. I am in wonder of what I have received from exchanging thoughts with you here, and I am in wonder of what you may have received from exchanging with me.

But most of all, I am in wonder of a community of people who come together, without knowing one another, and care enough to share, to be open, to listen and to learn. Strangers who are willing to create a safe space for one another to disagree, to be vulnerable, to be supportive and to grow.

Only you know if a community like that holds something of value for you. I know for a fact, that it does for me. And if it does not serve you - if your purpose for visiting there becomes more about challenging the people than debating the ideas, then it is likely not be the place for you to stay.

And I guess I’m in wonder of one more thing right now, Annie, and that is … if I were to venture a guess, I would bet that you would be welcomed back here at anytime you felt safe enough to show up again, without your sword and armor … and that speaks volumes about the members of this community and the person who leads them.

I wish for you a softened heart and fewer burdens ahead.

      K

      1. KimbraLee,

That was absolutely exquisite response, created from love and utilizing grace, respect and tact. Couldn't have put it better myself. You are awesome.

  5. How about appreciating everything.. all the billions of years of YOU(many will use the word GOD for YOU.. but is great either way) evolving and all the specific things that had to happen just so YOU can experiente YOU in this specific way right now reading this message.. there is a LOT to appreciate

  6. Since we started our business, February 2010, with my wife, we have been studying and looking at this issue of prosperity. IS INCREDIBLE, IT IS BEAUTIFUL. My wife for Christmas and New Year, has developed something that has surprised me, and I learned from that. She is preparing a souvenir to give to all persons who are part of our lives. With the objective that they all know that we appreciate them for being part of our lives. There are friends, relatives, doctors of our children, new friends, neighbors, etc.. And feels good just because of preparation, how good it will feels the time of delivery. I think it's a beautiful way to let they know that we appreciate! This brings joy to the soul. And we have one for you, we will give it personally some day. Hug. Gabriel Suarez

  7. Randy, loving other people is pretty easy for me. (Most of them, anyway.) I like people. I respect life. I enjoy living.

My challenge is in loving myself as much as I love everyone (and everything) else. I don't cut myself as much slack as I do other people, I find it much easier to praise other people than to praise myself --- that sort of thing. (It's those darned memes again!)

But I'm working on it. Love you, guy. And I love me too.
    jim

  8. Great post Randy!! And for you Annie i want to say, ---- all your comments just show, that you are not in harmony with yourself , it speaks about insecurity and jealousy!!!! you dont have to be too smart, to see, that divine wisdom flows throught this MAN!!!!!

  9. In love sunshine, flowers,Dance in my car when i drive to work, sweet honey, smile on a kids faces, sunset on the beach..................thanks.Te quiero Randy

      1. Thank you Mr Gage for your reply.

I thought you would say that Mr Gage. We (the people of America whom didn't vote liberal party as you introduced nicely in your book) elected them based on a lack of consciousness. They should know better and as MR Rohn said about America: America is not a bed, America is a ladder to climb. We can start from four dollars an hour and go to billions a year. Take charge of your life, take charge of your own day and march your way up.

        Best regards Mr Gage
