The Ultimate Key to Happiness

Posted By: Randy GageSeptember 6, 2012

Lots of people are trying to find happiness.  But I don’t think you find it – you create it.  So just how do you create happiness?

Obviously millions of people don’t find it.  Certainly millions of others find it in millions of different ways.  And while happiness means different things to different people and they may seem to get there in different ways, there are some universal principles that transcend across everything.

There’s also some things that you may not catch.  Some things only apparent by deeper reflection and some critical discernment.  And that’s where a new book by Robert Scheinfeld comes in…

It's titled, The Ultimate Key to Happiness, and it’s a fascinating read.  It looks at the subject in a way you’d never expect, from the hidden motivators that cause you to do the things you do, to why happiness doesn’t last for most people – from the lies you may have bought into that keep you from being happy, to how your mind processes input.

You know I’m all about being mindful of the programming you’re exposed to, how that creates beliefs, finding the beliefs that empower you, which change your daily actions, which change your results.

Robert approaches the process with similar outcomes, but in his own unique way.  I think you’ll find it mesmerizing.  Check it out and let me know what you think.  Here’s more info:   http://www.happinessbook.com

  1. By going within you find happiness. This means detaching from outside sources of happiness. Sure, enjoy your money, your business, your friends...but know that outside stuff comes and goes...and if you detach some, your happiness does not come and go with the outside stuff.

Go within to change the without. Observe your happy feelings. Why? Because you chose to be happy no matter what or because of temporary conditions? Answer this question honestly to find the real key to happiness. If it's the latter reason, no worries. Your honesty sets you free. Learn to make conscious decisions to be happy each hour of the day. Exercise. Jump around. Laugh. Shot out your gratitude list. Then, no matter what happens, you will be predominantly happy, because you realized that your conscious choices created the happiness...and nothing outside of you did.

    Thanks RG!

  3. Our recipe for happiness is simple!  Humour!

Laughter is THE best medicine and my wife an I make each other laugh EVERYDAY!  I accost strangers in suppermarkets or in passing in the street with a topical joke or humorous comment and  leave them laughing in surprise it does THEM good and give me JOY!

Happiness is certainly NOT about money.  We are blessed with two happy families with our children and our grandchildren and the sound of laughter is a cosntant.

After all in today's world if you don't LAUGH you would CRY

      1. There are many who live in impoverished countries and circumstances and with limited resources, and they still manage to laugh, enjoy their time alone or with family and friends

Although money is a great facilitator to barter for goods and services it is not the sole source or cause of happiness.

  5. Count your blessings I always say. There is a difference between what will truly make you happy and what you think will make you happy. From DS&B - Your own happiness is your highest moral perogative. If other people are preventing you from being free to attain this - drop them.
