The Role of Forgiveness in Prosperity

Posted By: Randy GageSeptember 13, 2010

In the past we’ve discussed why you sometimes must create a vacuum for prosperity.  The principle behind this is that the universe is inherently good.  So when you create a vacuum, the universe will fill it with good.  This holds true with the issue of forgiveness.

If you feel your prosperity is blocked, a good question to ask is what are you holding onto that you need to be releasing?  Because your mind can only process one dominant thought, just as your heart can only feel one dominant emotion.  So you have to make a choice…

If you want to be a victim, you can’t be a victor.  If you’re holding onto revenge, there is no room for love.  You have to be willing to release negative things and forgive people, so there is room for the positive things.

This is a lesson I learned the hard way, when I was shot in a robbery.  And that’s the topic of the new episode on Prosperity TV this week.  Check it out and let me know what you think:  http://www.youtube.com/randygage

P.S. Be sure and subscribe to the Prosperity TV channel when you're there, so you'll get notice on the next video, which will be about faith and prosperity.

  1. Hi Randy,

Forgiveness is all about the individual who holds the grudge. Until they release it's not possible to make room for their greater good.

I didn't know that you were shot but seeing your prosperity it's obvious that you released the experience and any strong emotions connected with it.

    Have a wonderful week.

  2. You can't receive when your hand if full. You must release to receive. If your full of anger there is no room for forgiveness. It's like the apple in the jar you can't reach in and grab it and pull it out. You must let go to receive it.

  3. You were making this video just for me to hear, right Randy..?? (smile)......this was just what I needed to hear today......Been holding onto something and as soon as I finish writing this, I will forgive and release it......the best words for me in the video was "you can't be a vic-tor, and still act like a vic-tim"........Forgiving those that we feel have wronged us is taking the high road to victoriousness....thank you....

  4. Hi Randy,

Forgiveness has always been a tough one for me. It wasn't until I learned that I was the one being hurt, not the person I had bad feelings toward, that I realized the power of letting it go, of forgiving.

Thanks for sharing your story. I can only imagine what it takes to forgive a doctor who lied to you about removing a bullet from your body.

    Sincerely,
    Gregory

  5. Great post Randy... great quote, holding on to grudges and revenge fantasies is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die.

  6. After watching your video it dawned on me that I have forgiveness work to do and I'm going to write down what is necessary. And I will also focus on forgiving myself, too!

    Very powerful stuff Randy!

  7. There is an e-mail address in first pages of your books , do you personally check that?

I extremely need your help on something, but I can't say it in here.

  8. There's an old saying I like: "Resentment is like drinking poison, hoping it will kill your enemy."

I just finished a very interesting book, "The Disappearance of the Universe" by Gary R. Renard. It's all about forgiveness. In my early personal development journey, I wouldn't have "gotten it". It validates my commitment to keep reading and re-reading.

    Thanks, Randy, for the reminders.

  9. Not releasing is ultimately why people have to leave the body. It can't hold any more pent up non-released energy or rigidity.

When you create a vacuum, the universe can fill it with what you want.

The future is what YOU create. It's never written in stone.

There is free will and infinite possibilities.

Create what you want and ignore any statements of rigidity.

There are frequencies and energies that are there for us to use.

  10. Fab message Randy, enjoyed the video. It was a very timely reminder today as I was having a very rough day and thinking very negative thoughts. I so appreiate4 your virtual presence in my life and the energy we share on another level.
    Blessings as always.

  11. Hey Randy,

Man, thanks so much for the videos.

I especially love when you share aspects of your REAL, yet prosperous life (sydney waterfront apt., miami condo, plane suites)...

Instead of just "stating" the ideas of prosperity, the immersion and sharing that comes from the videos actually "puts" me in that state of prosperity awareness and intensifies the lesson.

Don't be afraid to continue to share the details of your own daily experience of life (with respect to your privacy, obviously) b/c that's big time inspiration to me (even especially the stuff that would seem unglamorous or normal...) and I'd bet it is to your other readers, too...

I read Why You're... and The 5 book series in Kindle version. Great!

You gonna offer any of your audio and video programs as digital products or is that part of your "get out what you put in" insistence on us valuing what we purchase?

    thanks again,

    Jason

  12. The opportunity is for us to understand that forgiveness begins with ourselves ... we create our experiences

btw Randy's experience with being shot was a message I was intended to receive and one that changed my life.

  13. Hi RG
I think there is some contradiction about this topic.
By make a statement that you forgive another you are at the same time making the statement that is it not your fault that has happened to you. It contradicts with your principle "A man is solely responsible for absolutely everything that happens to him"
The doctor has left the bullet in your body.
Is it the doctor to be blamed and be forgiven, or is it you who is responsible for having the bullet stuck in your body? I think you will have to choose either one, but not both.

  14. When I forgive, I unburden myself of negative feelings and thoughts. I take the focus of my mind away from "the negative" and , suddenly, there is space for" the positive". I become free to live as I please. Forgiveness is a present for oneself.
