The Prosperity State of Mind

Posted By: Randy GageSeptember 28, 2011

To become truly prosperous, you must first possess the spirit of prosperity – the right mindset.  You can’t be treated for prosperity – you need to be open to receive it.  That’s why I always recommend people read my book, Accept Your Abundance first.

We know money doesn't buy happiness.  But neither does poverty.  So what role does prosperity play in happiness?

Most people collect money and things hoping that the next one will bring them happiness, but they can’t.  You don’t get happiness from acquiring or hoarding things, but by developing the consciousness of joy.

Happiness actually can come from the self-expression money and material things can bring you.

That’s because true happiness is in you or it is nowhere to be found.  It’s a choice you make.

So what are you choosing?

P.S.  By the time most of you are reading this, I'll be winging my way to Sweden.  I'll check in from there.

  2. Hi Randy,

wow, thanks for sharing this. I love that:"You don’t get happiness from acquiring or hoarding things, but by developing the consciousness of joy." I have fun and joy with material things and non-material things but in a material world, it's more than OK to have material things and have fun and joy with them.

    Take care

  3. Hi Randy,

The smile we decide to put on our face throughout the day is the key to success.

No matter what happens, hold that smile. Face resistance with a grin. This is a key to happiness, health, wealth and all the awesome things in life. Holding the smile keeps your mind right for prosperity.

Smile. Tune in. Prosper. All the things in the world won't solve your problems if you didn't acquire them, smiling. Be happy. Now. No matter what. Keep smiling and all else falls into place. Seems like magic but it's simply your outside world conforming to your inner mental state.

    🙂 as I write this!

  4. Hi Randy
Great point about needing to possess the spirit of prosperity. It all starts in the head and as I continue on my journey of self-improvement, I am realizing more and more the truth to this idea and it is getting easier and easier to reprogram myself. Interesting points about money and its role in everything....it is a complicated piece of the puzzle.

  5. Hey Randy,

Many people think that abundance means only having more money in your bank account.
Well, money is just a little part of real abundance. It's enough to go out and notice the nature...thousands of species-plants, flowers, birds, trees, food, possibilities and great diversity.
When you accept your abundance you accept everything and choose in the favor of your higher self.
Secondly, if you want to be happy just be. No other things are necessary.
    Thanks for sharing:)

    Peace and abundance,
    Radu

  6. Everyone is making good points here today. BE-ing happy is a state, much as Radu says here. The other day I was feeling out of it, and decided to sit by the SF Bay in the sun and just be. About an hour or more later, I found I was lifted from my off center feeling and was in Joy again.

And as you have told us countless times, we MUST be the thinker of our thoughts. I work at this all the time and the work is constant. Being aware of thoughts that don't serve us is the first step.

    Thanks Randy and travel safe!
