The Prosperity Challenge

Posted By: Randy GageJanuary 5, 2012

Do you ever get impatient to get wealthier, healthier, or happier?  Don’t you wish it moved faster?  Does it seem like there are always obstacles between you and your next goal?

That’s because there are.  And that’s okay.

It’s not that prosperity is meant to be elusive or difficult.  It is not.  But it comes to those who become.

A big part of the process for most people is experiencing the necessary challenges to shape their character, and develop their wisdom.  You gain wisdom from the mistakes of others, and your own mistakes.  The more you learn from the example of others, the less mistakes of your own are necessary.  But we all have some lessons we must learn first hand...

Prosperity conscious individuals understand this, and welcome those challenges as the stepping-stones they must ascend - in order to become the person they need to be.

So back to the opening questions…  Want to speed up the process?

Find the next challenge to conquer!

  1. Is that why salmon taste so good? They have to swim up stream, fighting for every foot???

I tell my kids that if they want to level up in the game of life, they have to go through the challenges and put in the time... there are no cheater codes.

  3. When we are faced with challenges, that's because the Universe wants us to get the lessons. If we run away, we will face the same challenge again. The Universe also wants to test if we are up to the task of managing a bigger team, growing business, more wealth etc. When we pass the test, we will be presented with the biggest gift in life.

    1. @Joe The only test to pass is to unlearn all the garbage we've accumulated and remember the truth of who we are.

    2. When you mentioned the part about how we will face the same challenge again it reminded me of a great line I heard on a prosperity themed radio show once that said something about how if we don't take the lesson from a challenge we'll be blessed with the opportunity again "same song, different verse... a little louder, a little worse." I thought that was a fun way to put it.

  6. Randy, of course I wish to move faster. Paradoxically, the more I wish to move faster, the slower it goes. So I wonder what slow down? And let it be? When I had very much wanted to go to Dubai and I had no idea how I do it, but too much I was no longer wanted to be there, a turning point was that one day I realized that I did everything intuitively and stopped trying so hard. The next day, I woke up and found a contact person to me in my departure helped :o) So? What about the paradoxically slow down? I think it is a manifestation of trust and confidence in life. M.

  9. Got it! Guess with 2 new challenges in both hands 2012 is a year which lets me grow to become - the one I am meant to be 😉

    1. p.s. I've been a "blog lurker" here for at least a few years now. For whatever reason I just never really got into leaving comments. As part of my goal setting this year I committed to make it a habit to chime in with my 2 cents for all of 2012. Even if it's just to say something like "Yea, what he said!" or "Amen Brother!" or something like that. Which is pretty much exactly what I just said with this comment. 🙂

side note: RG I really appreciate what you do! It's important work!

!!you wrapped that into the "right" words!! ...using Randys vocabulary. If we go on with that, Randy will become the founder of a new "in-between the lines-language"

  15. Hi Randy

This very issue was plaguing me yesterday and I was feeling more frustrated than I usually do. But, unlike other similar moments, it passed more quickly. I am still not a huge fan of the obstacles, but I have changed my perspective of them. I also am developing a stronger prosperity consciousness so I am able to better keep my eye on the end result which I know I will get. These hard moments really do help us grow and step outside our comfort zones, so they are for the best but sure do not feel like it at the time!

  17. My #1 Big challenge: Impatience! OMG - I get so tired of listening to myself whinge on about things being slow, having to wait wait wait... I wanted our house on the market, and sold quickly & easily; my timing was for that to happen in October/November. IF things work out as planned, the realtor should be planting a For Sale sign in the front yard on Monday. Meantime, I've had 3 months of lowering my vibration with Impatience. Now I am impatient to overcome this personal shortcoming....

Onwards & Upwards.....in Divine Right Timing??

    1. @MrsHealthandProsperity

Hint 4 Mrs H&P: keep yourself busy with others things in life during that time which you can´t speed up yourself - to not even recognize your impatience 🙂

  20. I still haven't worked it out yet. I've been studying prosperity for the last few years and worse off than ever, about to go bankrupt. Feeling like it's all too hard to go on right now 🙁

  22. Steve it sometimes feels like more than you are capable of. But it isn't. Really. And you are worth it. -RG

  24. @steve jasper - last year was my worst year ever also. But I know that I have learned a lot and made many mistakes. Just keep moving forward. That is what I am doing. Good Luck.
