The Greatest Success Breakthrough

Posted By: Randy GageJanuary 31, 2013

Millions of people strive for success, happiness and prosperity.  And these are many parts of that equation.  But here is the single biggest breakthrough in the process…

Understanding and accepting that the space you occupy in the world is in direct proportion to the value you offer others, the mindset you offer it with, and what you believe you deserve.

Every great teacher spoke of this in one way or another.  The Buddha and Jesus, Napoleon Hill, Charles Fillmore and Ernest Holmes.  They used different words or different languages, but the essence of the message is the same.

Your health, income, relationships, inner peace, net worth and virtually all manifestations of prosperity are all based upon this formula.  Let me state it again:

The space you occupy in the world is in direct proportion to the value you offer others, the mindset you offer it with, and what you believe you deserve.

The moment you understand and accept that – is the most important success breakthrough you will ever have.  Because this is the moment you move on from victim-hood, leave behind blame, and take responsibility for your own destiny.

  1. Randy, what you've posted makes sense, except for one word... "Deserve".  I just commented on this same topic in another blog and it's only fair I point out the same thing here.  The word "Deserve" is an entitlement attitude, which this messed up economy is full of already.  Enough is enough!  Everyone has a different idea on what deserve means to them, so it's a subjective word overused by many people who've never accepted responsibility for their own life... pushing blame on others for their failures and mistakes, rather than taking that on themselves. The word "Earn" should replace it, because it's the only way people are ever going to realize that the responsibility is in their own hands to change things and make them better for themselves and everyone around them.

    1. @SoulSaversUnite
How shall we phrase that?      "...what you believe you CAN earn"  ?  Doesn't quite work for me.
"Earn" doesn't quite cover the need we (many of us) have to Get Over our feelings of not-deserving.  Those feelings are what Randy is talking about; those feelings are why our souls are suffering.
Compassion tells us us that Part of the reason for all this strident racket about "Deserving our Rights..." is nothing more than a compulsion arising out of the secret, unrecognized sense that one in fact does NOT deserve.  Maybe if I yell it at the world loud enough, my inner self - my soul if you will - may begin to accept that I do deserve to enjoy life's glorious abundance?

      1. @MrsHealthandProsperity No, that's not how I would phrase it... "and what you believe you have earned" is more like it.  I'm not talking just about monetary earnings or material things.  Does someone earn respect or do we expect it simply by being in a position of authority or leadership?  Should we earn a living in service to others in some way or should we deserve it just because we show up? Every day is a new beginning, so each new day should start with a clean slate... new goals for each day... leaving behind negative thoughts of previous mistakes and failures.  Love yourself because you are the best YOU can possibly be in the moment and do everything in your power to make each moment count for something in someone else's life... not just your own.  We'll never really feel complete and happy in life in service just to ourselves.  Why else do you think Randy does what he does here every day... to serve people who need it and feel good about it himself... because it IS good.  Search your heart and find the one thing you can do each day to touch and/or inspire others and it opens up a fantastic new life of earning... in multiple different ways you may not even notice right away.  You'll feel so much more powerful and fulfilled if you feel you have "Earned" something, rather than feeling like you "Deserve" it.  People deserve to go to jail if they break the law.  On the other hand, people earn a fantastic raise, promotion or lifestyle.  See what I mean?

  2. Randy - I get excited about this and then always fall at the first fence of the "value you offer others". I chose to stay at home to bring up children rather than continue my paid career as a lawyer and quite frankly now feel that I offer nothing of value to anyone! Then I beat myself up with telling myself to take responsibility for my choices and  yet can't get rid of this thought that I have been living a parasitic existence, I should be working and I've wasted my talents and that the only real work is paid. AAAAhhhhh! Elizabeth

    1. Elizabeth, according to what you've posted, you decided to stay home to raise your children.   How can you NOT find extreme value in that?  Your children are THE most important thing in your life!  Not everything, especially not your personal value, revolves around money and material things. I'm quite sure there are many older folks getting close to their final days and regret they DIDN'T spend more time with their children when they were growing up.  Please, don't beat yourself up over doing what you felt was right in taking good care of your children. NOTHING is more important or more rewarding in this life.

        1. @Randy_Gage Randy I understand what you are saying now, and I think if your not following the rules of prosperity, which many of them are the "Golden Rule", you most likely are hurting yourself and others.

The only reason, I don't like it that you use Charles Fillmore's quote is because "poor" and "sin" have so many different meanings.  However, I think you and Charles Fillmore are saying it with the best of intentions and to help others, and I think it will.

Here is the down side though, because it means something very derogatory to many, it might not be the best quote to put out there.  That quote could  lead to more shame and stigma for an already vulnerable group.  Although, it might help some of them, I would err on the cautious side. Anyway, if that quote sticks to you, I am afraid those who don't know Unity's message will not see what a generous and forgiving heart you really have. 🙂

    2. Elizabeth! It ain't over yet!  You are in the process of developing your (saleable) Value.  Sweetie, I was where you are...  (who me? valuable? no...darn, Aaaaaarrrrrrggghhhhh........)
Now my kids are grown.  I have muchmuchmuchmuch value to bring to the world.  I'm in the process of developing my system for doing so.
The world of 2025 is going to need YOU, Elizabeth, as much and more than your children need you now.  I'll pave the trail for you as much as I can.
Thanks, Randy, for paving my trail.

    3. wow Elizabeth, wow! YOU ARE SOOOO VALUABLE. I am not a mom and want to be but grateful I have many kids in my life, and I have many friends who have been going thru what you are. I THINK MOMS TODAY ARE AMAZING!!! You bring so much value.........and its interesting as I am going through something similar looking for work, and for me its all about contribution, helping someone, something grow, I LOVE TO BRING value at work. But if I were in your place, trust me, I would feel differently....But I GET how you feel as I have heard it from so many moms; many who have started their own cool thing while being in your position. I could connect you to some women/amazing networks that I think would support you and help you realize what's possible even while  you are at home. MOMS are a hot market today, as consumers and creators, but what you do as a creator of your kids life and I think running a home with kids and spouse, it is your amazing organization, business skills and love that make you a rock star in this world to do it...YOU ARE SO SO VALUABLE, PLEASE GET THAT! But love to connect you if you like..........

    4. you are SOOOOOOOO VALUABLE! I know many women going through what you feel they amaze me; and have even birthed business while in your situation. But regardless, I observe my mom friends today with nothing but admiration.I would love to connect you to some networks that could serve you I think and give you a community to realize what greatness you are bringing to so many.
I love kids and wish I had my own, but am going through the VALUE thing like you looking for work as I LOVE TO MAKE A DIFFERNCE, CONTRIBUTE, to a bigger whole........so to me, you are bringing WAY more value in every moment of every day, enriching the lives of those you love. this just hit so hard with a sense of OMG! she must know, she is SO SO VALUABLE! SO!
