The Gift of Belief

Posted By: Randy GageAugust 18, 2012

The greatest gift you can ever give someone is belief.  It’s also the greatest gift you can give yourself...

If ever you doubt yourself, remember the journey you are on.  What brought you to this site, and the fact that come here regularly.   That tells me a lot about you.

Which is why I believe in you...

So during those times you doubt yourself, come back here and remember – I believe in you.  And you’re welcome to borrow some of that belief.

  1. Doubt seems to me to be founded in fear. Going deep to define one's fears is a great first step. Once that is in process then resources like this blog can be used to release fear.

  3. And where do you Randy  borrow belief?
    Of those who come here?
…  sometimes they leave footprints that have been here, sometimes  no.
If they come again and again, it means that they  believe in you.
Is it enough to keep your belief strong?

      1. @Randy_Gage
        Where belief disappeared?
When we were children, we  all had a lot. Where it remained?
I think, that our belief is still here, just deep inside hidden under fear.
Actually, I don't need to borrow your faith, I have my enough.
I just need to polish it as the diamond.
And you help to do it. Thanks for waking me up time to time 🙂

  5. Thanks so much Randy.. In the quest for living my dream, like all people on the journey, we encounter nay sayers or just people that make you question your goal. So maintaining belief and trusting is crucial. The beauty of these encounters is that it will open up new creative ideas that evolve the goal further. Like you always say, Do Something Epic!  Thanks for believing. I believe in you too 🙂

  7. Thank you! one can always use more of that when in particular they are going after what they truly  believe was and is the value they can bring and the passion and learning they are ignited to express and gain. And when it takes time, patience and persistence, boy do you find alot of judges along the way, including one's self...that's the big one...thank your for the reminder..I'M  POSSIBLE.

  10. You NEVER respond! WHY? You think I'm too stupid? I do not undefstand - because my undrstanding of you ia COMPLETELY DIFFERENT! tHAT'S NOT  what you are communicating to others to DO?

  11. I think each and every one of us has a duty to believe in ourselves and to appreciate those that believe in us as well.

  13. We all have plenty of self-belief - it's just that some of us believe some pretty goofy things about ourselves!  This self-belief you speak of, Randy, is the belief that we are powerful, capableI individuals who can and will transform our lives.  I'd love to borrow that belief!

Dr. Christine Northrup suggests a 30-day plan for learning to love ourselves: Begin each morning by looking at our image in the mirror, and saying with all the sincerity we can muster (even if it isn't a whole heck of a lot) "I love myself."  At first there may be resistance, maybe even a lot of resistance.  Oh well.  We can persist regardless of resistance.  After 15 - 20 days, the resistance will give up (Resistance likes to pretend it is powerful, but just between you and me - it's a wimp and will give up before we do).  After 30 days,we will have the habit of loving ourselves.  That's what that wise woman, Dr. Northrup, says.

Seems to me that this same process would work with, "I believe in myself."  I'll give it a shot, at any rate, and YOU are welcome to join me in the experiment..  Won't it be great to have strong self-belief, self-confidence?  Bring that on! (Delivery time: 30 days)

  15. During low times, when even I don't believe in myself, there are others who believe who believe in me. These are the people who pulled me up time and again. So I pay it forward by puling other up during the good times.
