To strive for amazing things we all need (also) our healthy self-respect.
It´s probably what poor people miss most to get started -

I agree, if you feel empty think of the GOOD you have in life. Not enough people do that then more GOOD will come.

Comparing yourself to others is a fast track to misery and emptiness. Look within and be the best you that you can be.

Indeed Randy. Many of us hide from our calling, when we need to strive and do more. I mean, some of us are always trying to keep up with the Jones'. This can be disastrous to individuals without an financial plan. Build a business, make a plan and do not settle. Strive to accomplish dreams. If you fail, remember what you have learned, get back up and go for it again.~ Doc Reo

Randy, reminds me of the quote I shared on my company FB page today.... “I cannot give you the formula for success, but I can give you the formula for failure, which is: Try to please everybody.” ~ Herbert B. Swope, American Journalist

for sure like this post cause living an unprosperous - of course leaves emptiness. and yes - having a full/rich (not in the sense of being rich cause having a huge amount of cash) live puts a person in kinda balance.

I appreciate your perspective, Randy. I hate to see the "have nots" belittle the "haves" just because the "haves" have achieved something worthwhile.

This is great food for thought.. Sometimes I have the feeling you describe knowing that I have more.. much more.. Reminds me of a great line from "Batman Begins" where Christian Bale after doing some extracurricular activities with a couple of super models says to Rachel.."This isn't me.. I'm more.. MUCH more".. When we have the KNOWING we are more it MUST drive us to uncover it and then share it with the world.. That's God's gift of giving THROUGH us!

I appreciate the simplicity. As a matter of my principles, I realize that if I had a better attitude about money, that I would be content with what I have, take care of what I have and seeking wealth would be a past-time and much more fun than sweating the daily grind, just trying to make ends meet. Those who strive for deep faith know this as well.

Dear Randy,
If prosperity seems to me linked to the golden rule, the ethics of reciprocity, the 12 laws of karma, the fact to be rich or poor isn't really linked to them, I think.
Just take Steve Jobs! He was a very prosperous man but he didn't consider him neither as rich nor as poor! Steve Jobs, at his beginning, hadn't even a domicile and he eat once per week at a harekrishna temple! Was he poor at this time? I doubt it! Later he was a billionaire, was he rich later? He certainly was very prosperous, but from the very beginning, I think!
Have a great and happy new week!
Best,
Lucas

Especially love this part: "Prosperous people know that poverty is a sin, just as mediocrity is." To have that mindset could mean the whole difference in believing whether or not you're worthy of prosperity...

Beautiful post!
Wealth is meaningful only in order to learn that one can be just as happy having Nothing, as when one has billions. It is the path of some.
Just as the path of Power! To learn that the more Power one has - the more one can give.
Many strive for path of wealth or power because the path looks good, although it may not necessarily be their path.
Wealth, Power, or whichever "final" result is achieved is not the focus of path, is not what the energy is spent on...
The lesson learned is in the Path 🙂

I love it! I tell my clients all the time that the key to success is simply not stopping! It's true that most people aren't highly motivated by money. They are motivated by security and accomplishment. When you put it that way it sounds a lot different!

Great article. I personally believe you have to be a driven individual to be prosperous. What drives you doesn't matter but you have to be constantly striving and motivating yourself. Not everyone has this drive which explains why not everyone is prosperous!

Not being a religious chap myself, I don't quite relate to "They strive to have more, do more and become more, because to not do so would be an insult to their Creator" - but I certainly can see that "settling for less than you are capable of, is missing the mark, turning your back on the greatness you have in you". That's great motivational advice, for which I thank you. I don't think it has to be about "having more" necessarily, but it most certainly has a lot to do with "doing more and becoming more".

Many welltrained people in personal development agree to the saying that life itself is empty and meaningless and it does´nt mean anything that it does´nt mean anything.
Although the inside life has only the meaning itself that it is a inside thing. Inner power, energy etc.
But the meaning of life might just be life itself.
So what´s the benefit or pay off on that ?
It gives You more freedom when You separate the interpretation of what´s going and what happened from being the truth or given any other meaning .
This is it !

Everyone should explore their God given creativity and potential, but it's good to remember that prosperity without purpose is really no prosperity at all.

look up the parable of "The Talents" at that time it was equivelant to approx. two years wages..
