The Day You Decide

Posted By: Randy GageNovember 10, 2011

We all have three key days in our lives; ones that tower above all others.

One is the day the curtain falls for the last time.  Most of us won’t choose that day or necessarily know when it comes.  But that day, there are no more chances to do more.

Of course another one is the day you are born.  You don’t get to decide that one.  But you and only you get to determine the third key day...

The day you decide why you are here.

  1. AGREED my friend, finding your purpose in life is a massive, massive thing. Any body ready this, if you haven't figured it out yet, Listen to Randy and find it, it makes the work seem like its not even work. Thanks Randy for your leadership!

  2. If there is one issue I could harness, it would be to BE in the moment...continually focus on my highest purpose for being here. That said, life gets in the way of things..
so what I have found to be helpful is to remember to be in appreciation for all that is IN my reality - good, bad, mundane...the magic seems to lie in the present moment.
As I witness people transitioning out of the physical, I am the "realness" of our limited time here is limited.....as cliche as it sounds...live the moment!

  3. In addition, the day you decide to stop being a victim. The day you decide to release all that does not serve you. The day you decide to live by your own means, by your own standards, for your own enjoyment. The day you decide to get some positive programming happening between your ears.

  4. Randy,
I believe my highest purpose is to nourish the lives of everyone I connect with and as a natural result my life is nourish. This I have felt for many years. Truth is I feel great when I help others out. The action brings me great joy.
I believe the more you love the more you are loved. The more you share the more is returned...

That my two euros(which is still worth more than my two cents, I think!)

  5. I disagree on this one!
If you live your life to the fullest every second, you wouldn't see a purpose or a why, there is only life to be lived!
Sure you can help a lot of people and make a huge difference in the world, but I believe that just being alive is the greatest miracle in the world.

  6. I see, for such a question, you may find the answer by looking at history. Because this is the number one repeated question! As a result of knowing the history of humans I found out the answer. The life is like a big exam, which by passing it, will allows you to be in heaven. The important question is how to pass it?
It's simply by doing the good things 🙂 such as helping people...etc and being away of doing bad things...

you may wonder about my thought, you can ask here.

    SORRY ABOUT MY ENGLISH

  7. Hi Randy
Short, sweet and powerful. I know what my purpose is, it is just trying to figure out who to best implement it. Just taking steps and doing what feels good and I know it will fall into place.

  8. Dear Randy

    I am here for me.

I am grateful that you have shown me this in the years gone by.

Are you in the proces of changing aim in life?

The Fountainhead reveals to me the secret I've searched for. A paradox indeed - as following dialoque between two of the main characters points to. The quest itself is the fallacy.

The media mogul Gail Wynand says it so well in this dialoque between him and Howard Roark, the architect.

    Part 4 - Howard Roark, Chapter V

     Wynand asked:
"Howard, have you ever been in love?"
Roark turned to look straight at him and answer quietly:
     "I still am."
"But when you walk through a building, what you feel is greater than that?"
     "Much greater, Gail."
"I was thinking of people who say happiness is impossible on earth. Look how hard they all try to find some joy in life. Look how they struggle for it. Why should any living creature exist in pain? By what conceivable right can anyone demand that a human being exist for anything but for his own joy? Every one of them wants it. Every part of him wants it. But they never find it. I wonder why. They whine and say they don't understand the meaning of life. There's a particular kind of people that I despise. Those who seek some sort of a higher purpose or 'universal goal,' who don't know what to live for, who moan that they must 'find themselves'. You hear it all around us. That seems to be the official bromide of our century. Every book you open. Every drooling self-confession. It seems to be the noble thing to confess. I'd think it would be the most shameful one."
"Look Gail." Roark got up, reached out, tore a thick branch off a tree, held it in both hands, one fist closed at each end; then, his wrists and knuckles tensed against the resistance, he bent the branch slowly into an arc. "Now I can make what I want of it: a bow, a spear, a cane, a railling. That's the meaning of life."
     "Your strength?"
"Your work." He tossed the branch aside. "The material the earth offers you and what you make of it . . . What are you thinking of, Gail?"
"The photograph on the wall of my offjce."

  9. I truly believe that were put on Earth to serve others.
If you don't make someone else's life (of course it could be an animal or anything in nature)better then you're wasting your time.

    Thanks for the share

  10. I am reading the book "The Cause Within You" by Matthew Barnett, the Pastor of The Dream Center in LA. It is not about what WE want, God has a cause for each of us and it will only found in the service of others. He have to learn to listen to what God has to say what drives us, what lights up our spirits to take action. I agree to a certain point that we are in control of that day that we decide, but I don`t think it is a decision we make, but more a choice to follow the prompting of the spirit inside us.

  11. Absolutely my friend, that's the attitude...My way to think is since I was born I have chance to improve my life and experiences...the problem of average people is that they use their lives to complain and not accept the abundance of their lives!

    Good day Buddy!
