The Boy Who Would Be Rich...

Happy Freakin’ Friday!

As usual, this is my weekly postcard to you where I introduce a topic, question, or mystery you may want to reflect upon.  Today, allow me to share an intriguing story with you.

One that may, or may not be true…

Several months ago, I was conducting a seminar in Mexico City.  At the last afternoon break, I was signing books and taking selfies when a guy in his early twenties approached and began by saying, “I can’t believe it!”  I asked what he couldn’t believe. He said, “Thursday night I had a dream. I dreamt that God told me, this weekend I would meet a famous prosperity guru who would make me rich. On Friday my friend sent me a WhatsApp message with a link to this seminar.  I had never heard of you before, but when I saw what it was about, I immediately signed up.  And now today I met you.”

“What else did God reveal to you in this dream?” I asked.

The young man replied, “He said to me that you were going to give me a watch that would make me one of the wealthiest people in Merida, Yucatan.”

I slipped off the watch I was wearing, one of my favorite Concord models, with a mother of pearl face surrounded by diamonds, which is worth about 60K. (Which is a lot of money in Mexico.) I reached for his left hand, placed the watch in his palm and said, “You mean like this?”

His eyes grew very wide, his hand holding the watch was quivering slightly and he blurted out, “Can I keep this?”

“Of course,” I replied. “I have dozens of watches.  Please enjoy it in true prosperity consciousness.” I patted him on the shoulder and excused myself to sign a book for the next person waiting.

After the seminar, once again I was surrounded by people for selfies and questions.  This took over an hour and waiting at the very end of the line was my new best friend with the watch.

This time, he asked if I would do him a favor and accept the watch back.  When I asked why, he responded, “Instead of the watch, can you teach me the prosperity consciousness that makes you so rich that you can give away something so expensive, so easily?”

As you may have guessed, I did accept the watch back, and now he’s one of my “Padawan Jedi” studying the principles of prosperity with me.  This story leads to three questions you may want to think about…

  • What would you have done in this situation?
  • Do you believe this story is true?
  • Does it matter?

Thought for the day: The words you speak (and your posts on social media) reflect the prosperity consciousness you possess.

  1. This boy seems like he will stay boy...even 20 years after....what is the name of this very promising young boy that wants desperately to come to rich Chinese Company Kaho Glass.

I am with Casio for 40 years this day. Keep it simple but durable.

  2. Randy,

I don't care if the story of the watch is true or not, I am crying like a baby. (Joyful tears) - Your postcard is Inspirational and affirming, "Ask and it is given" Belief is powerful. We cannot be selfish with our gifts; the rewards are huge for everyone.

I had a 1-hour mentoring call yesterday with a survivor of sibling abuse. Her story was my story.

After sharing different perspectives, when her hour was up, there was a noticeable shift in her thought process and physical appearance. Her transformation was affirming that I have big things I am going to accomplish. That I must accomplish so that I will change my corner of the world.

I gave her an extra 45 mins no charge. She was laughing, smiling, and sitting taller with new tools to change her world. She quit therapy; she's going back to continue the work.

Thank you and I'm so happy for you too.

    Love and Hugs!

  3. I believe the Story to be true. Why? Because, Randy also believe in the philosophy and the power of giving. This was a spiritual connection and Randy quite undertood, the book of wisdom says "spiritual things are sleepery".

On the other hand, this kid has a destiny and he was been driven by it, returning that expenssive wrist watch was not ordinary, destiny pushed him to do so immediatly, and go for the second choice, which is, the knowledge, he realise that when he tape into that knowledge, he too will become rich for ever.

Thanks for your time and wisdom Ramdy.

  4. Mr. Randy Gage.

This story incredible story but I believe is true.
    Three questions to answer.
    • yes, I believe this story is true.
    • yes, it is matter.
    • yes, I would have given it to him.

Thank you so much you share with us this day the Friday Philosophy.
