It’s fascinating to look back to centuries (or sometimes just decades past), and see how barbaric, savage, and uncivilized we were as a species.
From segregated drinking fountains, slavery, the Inquisition, the holocaust, laws against interracial marriage, to sacrificing virgins at the alter – humans have perpetuated some pretty horrific, cruel, and unconscionable things.
At some point, enlightened humans will look back on 2018, and be horrified to learn that this society believed that some things like the following were acceptable:
There is no doubt in my mind that human consciousness will evolve to the point that a future generation will look back in horror at these practices. The only thing that remains in doubt, is which generation will be the first to do it.
I'm just ashamed that it wasn't mine.

We Thought there were many races of people and in actuality just different ethnicity.
Change your beliefs from death to life while you are alive on Earth.
Change beliefs from hate to love.
Stop listening to messages about death, enemies, suffering, etc.
Listen to eternal love.
There really are two different destinations. You get to choose
You are born equal with the will to live, connected to Spirit. We learn inequality, hate, death etc
We can relearn equality, life, kindness, love.
And one of the most heinous acts that most people commit: we horrifically torture animals in order to obtain our protein needs when it can be obtained easily by other methods. I really hope that humans become enlightened and become more caring and kind beings, but what I have seen lately reinforces my thoughts that we are not much more than chimpanzees with clothes. I would be surprised if we don't blow ourselves up before we reach enlightenment.
By the way, we stopped sacrificing virgins at the altar here in Montana - we were running out of 10-year-olds.
You are right!
Shame keeps us stuck.
I think many people on Earth today (different generations) can look at history. There are a lot of free video college courses online.
I think some ancient history we are still discovering.
I think the key is too look at the causes of current and past events and change them. Critical Thinking?
Gen X.
Sadly. it´s our idiosyncrasy...we would hardly change...
