Tapping the Power of the Mastermind

Posted By: Randy GageOctober 17, 2010

Last post I asked you about how you prayed and what you expected when you do.  We also looked at affirmations.  There are some fascinating comments. Stop back and read them if you haven’t already.  Two very  important reasons that I raised these issues…

First, because it’s important for you to question your religious beliefs (or the lack of them) in terms of the prosperity or poverty consciousness they create in you.  I’ve made no secret that I think the world’s organized religions are probably the guiltiest party in terms of spreading lack and limitation programming.

If you see God through the Santa Claus model (He’s making a list, checking it twice; gonna find out who’s naughty and nice…), that can lead you to issues of worthiness.  So I hope you spent some time thinking about that over the weekend.

The second area I want to explore is why we do pray, affirm things, and why we may pray for others.

Ancient Vedic sages spoke of meeting in the space between thoughts.  Einstein talked about the unified field, and Joseph Campbell talks of the collective unconscious.  Of course most of you in this blog community are grounded in the Mastermind concept.

We know that at our ultimate level, we and all things are energy vibrations.  That’s why I wanted to sign everyone’s prosperity maps.  I pray for others not because I think I have more clout with God to help them get what they want.  I believe that when I pray or affirm for them, and they do as well, we meet somewhere in that unified field and influence the energy.

I pray and make affirmations for myself, not because I’m trying to sell God, but because I am selling my subconscious mind.

I don’t claim to have any proof that this is scientifically validated.  I believe spiritual things must be spiritually discerned.  But I do know that this belief serves me.  And I want to make sure that yours serve you.

Thoughts?

  2. Randy,

I must say that it has been through reading your posts that I questioned what my beliefs about religion where actually telling me.

It was at such an unconscious level that I did not think I had the sort of programing that I did and when I awoke from that limiting belief I was actually dumb founded.

It has been trying to surface for the past 5 years or so, but it was more evident as I read your material, I especially found myself no longer being able to repeat the words during service

"Lord I am not worthy to receive you"

It finally hit home, the light bulb went off and I started to question,
What do you mean, I am not worthy to receive you?

How ludicrous, it all makes sense to me now!

    Thank You

      1. OMG! I was just gonna post the same comment as Olga.

We are supposed to say "I am not worthy, am not worthy... to receive you" when it comes to Communion time!

That is crazy to me. I do not and have never stopped saying it and am becoming less and less religious and more and more spiritual.

I'm tired of hearing about what a sinner I am and why we should not be rich. (Yet, we need millions to repair the church! )

Shouldn't we ALL get rich so we can help others?

        Confused!

        Thx for the post. 🙂

        @SandraBaptist

    1. I don't think you understand what the true meaning of this statement is. "I am not worthy to receive you", in it's accurate understanding, is saying that none of us are worthy of God's forgiveness. We have been given forgiveness by the power of the resurrection. This is why we say it at Mass. to humble ourselves to God as we receive a gift none of us are capable of earning being that we are all human and sin is in our nature. Hope that helps clear this up and that you never stop saying it at Mass.

      1. That didn't make it any better. It actually just made it worse. Why would we not be worthy of God's forgiveness?

Sin is in our nature? Could there be a more lack filled statement?

      2. If I was to invent a religion that would keep people under control with incubuses (incubi?), be as mentally inescapable as possible, and offer no real hope of anything, I could do no better job than christianity.

      3. Mary-Ellen, I'm flabbergasted that you even read a blog like this with a mindset like that! They seem completely at odds with each other.

  3. Good post Randy, like the idea of feeding your subconscious mind... on a side note, if anyone interested, check out http://www.nytimes.com this weekend.. I know I know, ignore newspapers, ha ha.. but I like to read their movie critic A.O. Scott and food critic Sam Sifton and its commentary panel, Krugman, Friedman, Dowd, etc..
But two excellent philosophy pieces, one by David Sosa on the nature of happiness and Frans De Waals on whether we can be moral without God... a very funny piece by Sloane Crosley on cat people is worth a chuckle as well...

  4. Randy,

I agree that many in organized religion create "lack" thinking as that is what many sitting in the pew hear. Faith, trust in God's will and as you stated your subconscious belief in yourself and the manifestation of that belief for others is the key to prosperity. Thank you for creating and helping others find the ability within themselves to take ownership and move forward grasping their victory on their way!

  5. Hey Randy!!! Are you trying to say that to pray is to do positive affirmations about something we are wishing?

How do you think, can people connect with God or the universe in that unified field? In others words, what do you do for that? Meditation?, have a space of time in your day to pray for 5 minutes, 10 minutes, any way?...How do you that?

In the past, my prays were in a silent space asking to God for my wishes as you explain in the post, but for true, i´m some confused in that aspect, maybe as many other people who read your rants.

    How to pray??

    Thanks,

    -GJ

  6. Very interesting post that's really got me thinking.

My childhood experience of organised religion was very powerful. It gave me rules to follow. I understood that God is a separate entity who is loving in a very firm, chastising way (that doesn't sound very loving but I was TOLD he was loving). It was a case of take it all or leave it all, we are right and everyone else will be dammed to hell. It did give me a sense of belonging and meaning to an extent.

I remember once being told that meditation means emptying your mind, and doing that enables demons to enter (I guess the idea that if you create a vacuum, evil will pervade).

I gradually moved away from attending church, and loved it. I got to the point where I wanted nothing more to do with religion, though I guess I threw the baby out with the bathwater. I think I need to find that baby. : )

Prayer is something I currently feel guilty about because I spend so little time thinking about God, but on rare occasions feel I want to ask him for something. But I don't because so much of the time I question whether God really exists.

I like the idea of prayer and meditation without having to worry about "god." Spending time focusing on positive things I want for myself and for others will, for me, be much more beneficial.

    1. That's my core disagreement with many organized religions, including the way Christianity is presented. That whole "you are born a sorry sinner, you are not worthy" bullshit is so harmful to so many. It's certainly not the way I interpret the Bible.

BYW, for you guys in Florida, I will be doing the Sunday services at Unity on the Bay church in Miami on November 7, and then presented my new Sacred Secrets of Prosperity workshop that afternoon.

  7. I would usually imátkozni when it comes to spiritual things that is so teszsem to think about it very strongly and I do wish to get that.
Since this is a very personal and often do.
This health and family megbocsálytás thoughts related.
Is not a religion but a man speaks with me and then I usually do them myself.
The deal is not poverty, but to concentrate on what needs to be done to reach the spiritual and material wealth.
Actually, I feel like I'm on track just yet kikell hot on the case, that all be together.

  8. Randy...I do see and believe in "lack programming" as you have termed it. I also believe that much of humanity is quite willing to oppress others...and does so frequently. The flip side of taking Christianity to task for seeing mankind as having original sin is seeing mankind as essentially good, despite so much sad evidence to the contrary. We can see tons of good in people, yet we must also have our eyes open to see tons of intentional bad also. The idea of redemption and forgiveness (both God to mankind and people to each other) seems to me to be something that shows the WORTHINESS of people. It is because people are worthy that they humble themselves and confess sins, and commit to living more positive lives, with beneficial behaviors to themselves, their loved ones, and greater society...even those they don't necessarily love.

  9. I think there is so much misinterpretation of the bible due to lack of understand. It's like anything in life, if you don't study it accurately and receive interpretation from an authority who can translate the true meaning, then it gets very scary, like this blog is getting to me. I think Randy is great at what he does and I am sure he has many talents beyond prosperity manifestation, but in this case, I wish he would consider the enormousy of his impact both with his followers and with the whole Massiah reference. Scary territory, if you understand what the bible references about this. I'll be praying for you Randy.

    1. Good that you are praying for his blasphemy and his lost soul. LOL.

I think you are stuck in the 3rd century and probably looking for witches to burn 🙂

    2. "The enormity of his impact"...how about the enormity of Christianity's impact? It all depends on your viewpoint and nobody's wrong. We're praying for you too Mary- Ellen. 🙂

  10. It's interesting you bring up the issue about unworthiness and how it relates to religion.

I was brought up in a Reform Judiasm environment and as a child observed that the 'rituals' were being done more out of tradition that belief. And AS a child, I could never relate to the idealisms and ongoing guilt that's correlated to the Jewish population.

Then, as a young teen I was lead to Eastern thought and found it FAR more logical and consistent with Who I Am spiritually. I explored many of the Eastern spiritual paths including Buddhism, Taoism and Hinduism and then was lead to Ram Dass (Be Here Now) who as you know, was the leader in East meets West thought. As you also know, Eastern thought doesn't run any of the unworthy beliefs and I have lived my spiritual life based on what I KNOW to be true. I do not miss the structure of organized religion at all, nor do I miss the rituals and fear associated with my childhood.

I feel I am much better off believing the Universe is pure Love and that it is Infinite in it's potential. I also believe I AM worthy of abundance, love, Joy and success regardless of the 'old programming'!!

    Thanks Randy!

    1. Actually there are some serious worthiness issues in Buddhist and Hindu beliefs that I detail in my last book. Like Christianity, the core beliefs are positive, but the message often gets hijacked and twisted.

      -RG

      1. Ram Dass had some great teachings but he ended up going broke because he gave all of his money away. Then became a charity case who needed to scrounge off others to pay for his house that was going to be repossessed. Not very prosperous.

'Be here now' is great, but we also need to think of and prepare for the future

  11. Dear Randy.
This post is very special and very particular, especially because here I think we can mix, the spiritual with the material things. I am a man who believes in the Triune God. Where I concur as a believer, I always teach that material life and spiritual life are like the railroad tracks (one is the material life and the spiritual life is the other) and we are the train. What does this mean? Railroad tracks should always be parallel, not cross, or separated, since in both cases, wil cause that the train derailed.
As a believer in God I have a spiritual goal, which is to be in eternity with the Triune God. When I pray, I pray for my spiritual strength to achieve and prepare for that goal to have the strength to reach it, and when I pray for others is to also have the strength for that eternity that we will all together. To reach that goal we need preparation, like everything! Also I pray for health issues, or things that God can give strength and wisdom to succeed. But there is something that we teach to the brothers, if you need a job, pray for God to help you find it, but do not expect that job sitting at home, waiting for someone come knocking your door. You have to leave your house and go to knocking on doors to do so. If you're sick, pray to God for health, but must go to the doctor to heal you, God will give the doctor wisdom to heal.
We can not expect God to save us and make a miracle that we don´t do to get. We must not expect to preserve the work that we have, if we are late every day, or if we do bad intentional. We can not ask God to help us, not having heart problems, if we are smoking, overeating or do not care for our body.
When we talk about prosperity in my congregation, we think that poverty will no give you salvation of any kind. Also is not bad, if we have three houses, two cars, or three planes, that's not bad, but it's wrong if that is the only goal of our life. That is, you can seek material goods but do not forget your God, family and your loved ones. Seek for meterial goods without forgetting the essentials because that is properity! We should not beg for falling, money, health or prosperity from the sky, but we must act accordingly to these are given.
For my part, I seek spiritual salvation for eternity. While I look to have prosperity in my life, so I started in the network marketing, because I think we can be prosperous without forgetting God, family and love, that unites us as human beings. I believe in affirmations to help me become better in every way.
Do not look for God to give us material goods, but because we truly love him and want an eternity with him. Material goods are to be won over, so while we seek to improve each day a little more on earth to be worthy of such things.

PD: I hope that I could be well explain. No ofense to anyone

  12. There are many unquantifiable energies out there that we cannot readily explain. How could a blind man "feel" that I held my hand out to shake his? I learned of his blindness right afterwards and asked him " If you're blind, how did you know I held my hand out?" and his reply was "I could feel (sense) it." The same thing happened when I met my highschool sweetheart. The moment she sat in the desk in front of me (she did this on purpose to meet me) I could feel/sense that we were meant for each other. I knew/felt this the first moment I saw her. Not only is she attractive, but we actually got along.
I would see prayer as a "time out" for meditation, focus, and refelection. I think more people need to do this in the rush-rush world we live in. This may help us create our circumstances rather than be victim to them.

  13. I think I've mentioned this before, but I don't ever pray in the 'kneel by my bed, clasp my hands together and close my eyes' kind of way. This is just a religious convention. My praying is very indirect. My definition of praying is: identifying something that I want and giving it sustained, positive focus with an expectation of manifestation. So why do I pray? Well, I pray because I want something - I want my life to be better than it is today. That action indicates my faith in the process. I believe that my attention to the things that I want attracts them, but only when I'm feeling good about them. I believe that if I think about what I want, but from a lack-centred place, (feeling jealous or sad even that it has not yet manifested), I'm actually repelling the exact thing that I want. I also believe that if I think about what I want, but from a prosperity-centred place, (enjoying the desire in my creative imagination, appreciating it in someone else's life, or feeling relaxed about its upcoming manifestation), I'm really attracting the exact thing that I want. The reason I pray for others is because like you Randy, I believe in a kind of global consciousness, where the energy vibrations of every living creature seek out harmonious connections and gain strength in the process.

  14. I don’t claim to have any proof that this is scientifically validated
It is beyond the scientific method. It is like the human eye can not only see some many frenquencies and hear less than frequencies than other species.

    1. SO Like I mean... the higher the consciousness, the greater the possibility of it coming into being...

Look at Sai Baba - he prayers it happens.

And if so - those with prosperity thinking would orayer in a DIFFERENT way - like "it is done" rather than out of begging.neediness/demand - that repels.

And would poverty/prosperity heights be a direct correlate to the type of prayer we do - petioning vs affirming etc.

And if you have higher consciousness than me - HA! - and you certainly have greater prosperity than me at the moment... Could you please put mme on the prayer list you say 5 times a day.

Cos IF you have greater influence than me - then your 5 times would be like 250 000 of mine!

      Love!!!

        Love!!!
