While GREED exists will real poverty ever end? At the moment I'd dare to say there is enough wealth in the world to feed everyone everyone great meals x3 times a day, every day. But that does not happen.
Coming down to basics one habit I would love to eradicate is the food waste we have in so many shops due to "sell by" dates. At the end of trading daily much food is dumped into waste bins to be disposed of. Not even the staff are allowed have it. I do understand much of this is to cover the store for any potential illness. But there are simple forms people can sign to overcome this.
Why can't people take a look at the relevant food and, using common sense, decide how fresh that food still is. Must of it had days, even weeks to go before it is off.
I wish those in power, the ones who can make real differences, could see the light and take responsibility. Let's kill off GREED.

And while I agree, I was hoping for longer blogpost Randy. Or a link to one of your best books either prosperity series the least. As you have some excellent thoughts on the subject.
BobBurg Randy_Gage you can't generalize like that. Happiness does not depend on external conditions. It's a state of mind.
GeneCampanelli It is a state of mind. Only point I was making is it doesn;t serve us to romance poverty or suffering.
Randy_Gage ok, can you give me an example of romancing suffering? Don't exactly understand what you mean. Thank you
GeneCampanelli All the usual Hollywood tropes and stereotypes, how suffering is inherently noble. -RG
drmikempa There are those that wish that they weren't poor; and there are those that are glad that they are not, which one are YOU?
luckyubilly glad
GeneCampanelli Good evening, Gene. It absolutely is a state of mind. I'm not sure I understand premise you feel Randy_Gage is coming from.
Agnes Fitzgerald Sell by dates tend to keep a company from being sued; Which is based on greed by both lawyers AND consumers
You are correct.... greed -which is a human trait that is not going anywhere soon- even Jesus said that-is a huge problem,
but it has nothing to do with the complacency- that is spread like a virus by the practice Randy spoke of- romanticizing poverty.
Poverty is a curse not something to accept, be proud of or enable. It Must be eradicated and that will never happen until people
STOP romanticizing it..hence Randy's post
Hi BobBurg Randy_Gage Read the article again. It makes no sense and contradicts itself. "Don't live there?" Live Where?
GeneCampanelli Don't stay in poverty and suffering.
Very good... I agree with you Mr Gage... you inspire me and my coworkers every day...we always talk about you and your success...we are Networker in Iran and Our job is in the beginning in this country...
luckyubilly drmikempa AND there are those that go and do something about it. That's where most of those following Randy would either like to be or have chosen to be. Where are you now?
Kymmberly Agnes Fitzgerald I am aware of the need for
companies to protect themselves against being sued Kymmberly.Hence I mentioned the form we have that
waiver the rights of the receiver to sue.
Complacency seems to have
crept into most aspects of life. I think
it’s partly an effort to mind our own business while others get on with their
lives. That said this is also a wonderful excuse to do nothing. It’s as if we have the right to do nothing because
we do not want to interfere.
Obviously there are very
many different reasons as to why poverty is so widespread and how we can
eradicate it. But talking till the cows
come home does little for the hungry. We
need a lot less talking and far more ACTION.
My biggest mistake I made in my life was when I was thinking it''s okay to suffer and be poor because everyone are. Thanks Randy for your insight!
