Rewiring Your Brain with a Fresh Perspective

Posted By: Randy GageOctober 31, 2018

In my Sydney apartment I slept on the right side of the bed.  In San Diego I sleep on the left side. In Miami I sleep on the right side.  In California, my parking spaces are underground two levels.  In Florida, they’re above ground, up two levels.

I love things like that!

Because when you change up things like that, it stimulates your brain.  You can’t just repeat the same thought you have had a million times before.

The average person has about 60,000 thoughts a day.  Unfortunately, most of them are the same ones every day. (I need to brush my teeth.  Take the cap off the toothpaste.  Where's my razor?)  These thoughts follow the same neural pathway in your brain.  They literally create a rut they travel through over and over.

When you change up your thoughts, it actually helps you promote your creativity and develop new neural pathways in your brain.  So why not do some of that today?

Take a different route to work.  Put on your deodorant and dial your phone with your other hand.  Rename one of your most-used computer file folders.  Eat something you’ve never tried before.

Important note: I have another podcast exclusive episode that dropped today.  It’s so hot you’re going to need asbestos earmuffs.  It’s about the actual process of manifesting a breakthrough into reality.  It’s a MUST LISTEN for you.  Download it on your favorite platform here.

Make your day amazing…

  1. Actually, it's around 50,000 thoughts per day and most of them are either negative or wrong. There are studies that show if you use utensils with your weak hand, it stimulates neural pathways, so you are correct - mixing things up is good for your brain. The only problem is humans are creatures of habit and find it very difficult to get out of there daily, habitual routines.

  2. At first reading, this appears to be a contradiction on your advice that success is a direct result of your habits. Have I missed something Randy?
