Releasing Limitations

Posted By: Randy GageJune 8, 2009

Imagine an eagle soaring over a majestic landscape.  That’s how free you are to accomplish great things.  But you may not always see it that way…

You could tell me lots of valid reasons that are holding you back from success.  Your job involves a lot of hours.  You’re a caregiver for a loved one.  You don’t have the right connections or education.  You have physical challenges.

But you probably know what I would say to any of that…

The Jedi Master in me would tell you to only argue for the limitations you want to keep.  And the street-smart kid in me that left home at 15 would tell you those are all bullshit excuses.

So choose the answer you want.  And then decide what are you going to do about it?

P.S. I’m heading to Europe to do three programs and sneak in a little shopping.  I’ll check in from Milan.

  1. The key is what we are going to DO about it!!! You have to taking action to make all of your dreams come true and to fully utilize your powers within!

    Have a safe trip!

  2. I'm learning it the the WHY you want something, not the something you want. Find your WHY and you are mostly there!

  3. Hey Randy,
    You are correct.
When you make an excuse, you do not
have a burning desire to change your current situation.
    It is comfortable being complacent.

  4. All those excuses are VALID, and YES< they are ALL true.

The question isn't even what are you going to DO despite them, but WHO do you want to BE despite those challenges!

Knowing that difference has made a big impact on me.

It's not "Even though I'm a dummy I want to write a book", it's "Oh, even though I'm a dummy, I want to BE a writer"

    BIG difference for me.

  5. Every choice, decision, action comes with consequences. Some people seem to only see the trouble and discomfort. Brand new shoes need to be walked in to become your favorite pair. You may have to 'suffer' brief periods of discomfort before you get them there. Embrace the openings for joy in life and more appear or put your attention on the difficulties that appear and poof! you have those. Thanks for making it work Eric.

  6. Hey Randy,
let me know when you're coming to Bucharest, please.

    Thanks.

PS: You're doing a great job!

  7. Whenever I'm tempted to give excuses, I read the related chapter in Jay Rifenbary's book: No excuse. It rocks! Actually just looking at it's red cover works, no, just thinking about it already does the trick!

And, Randy, warmly welcome to Europe again.

  8. if you choose prosperous for yourself and your life, you should pay for the limitations that you have built for yourself.

  9. What is there to say about majesty !? I shall continue to learn, and discover that the sky is the limit...perhaps literally for me soon, as I always wanted to learn to fly.

  10. This is an amazing area you covered well in your interview with Barry & Heather at mastersofthesecret.com.

Life is full of negative and/or limiting beliefs coming at us from friends, relatives, co-workers, govt and religious organizations.

Armed with your teachings we can see these things for what they are.
