Prosperity Is the Way

Posted By: Randy GageFebruary 9, 2011

So I’ve been working on this month’s Virtual Prosperity Seminar. The topic is really hot this month: How you live a life of prosperity.

Everyone looks for the way to prosperity, but prosperity IS the way.

Your search for abundance can’t be chasing after rewards, or following dogma, but simply living prosperity.  Emile Cady said it best when she stated, “But in our walk we must learn to lose sight of the results that are the ‘loaves and the fish’ (Mt.15:36), we must, rather, seek to be the Truth consciously, to be love, to be wisdom, to be life (as we really are unconsciously), and let results take care of themselves.”

So what’s your take on this?  It doesn’t mean you just sit home watching “The Secret” 17 times and your dream house will materialize around you.  But it does mean that true prosperity isn’t manifested by working harder, being smarter, or learning more.  It’s about unlearning and getting back to the prosperity consciousness you were born with.

Please share your thoughts on this, and we’ll pick up there on the next post.

  1. Prosperity is the way.

And I agree, we don't *need* to work harder, smarter, or learning more, that WILL come when you choose, you decide that prosperity is a choice.

A bit back, I was struggling with writing the life I want. To actually paint the dream house, the family, the whole deal but I couldn't do it at the time.

And I was curious to know what was it that was holding me back. And then I got it...it was because I was scared, I was scared of this life of prosperity. In my mind, I had this self doubt, thoughts that I did not deserve it, that it belongs to others not me but when I sat down and had a real talk with myself...That is when I decided, it is the ONLY way of life.

It is a sin to be otherwise (as you Randy say).

When one truly decides this is the way of life, to prosper and go forth, then everything will click because you will do the work, you will be smarter and learn more but not because they are stand alone act but rather they make up prosperity.

    1. Roy- Marianne Williamson in her book, "Return to Love," writes, "our greatest fear isn't that we are inadequate, it's that we are powerful beyond all measure." This is what scares most of us. Make peace with it, and then live it.

      1. Thanks Joe. I know the whole saying quite by heart and say it to myself quite often. It is the same words that Nelson Mandela famously used in the days after he left prison.

I believe the one thing that is stopping us is either we don't know how powerful we are or we know how powerful we are and scared of it.

        1. Roy, Randy,

My fear of being inadequate has driven a lot of poor decisions in my life. I regret giving up on what I value for others.

I gave up on myself growing up to please my dad, who expected me to be more macho, when i am more of a creative type. I have a hard time forgiving myself for that.

There are times when I wonder if it is too late for me to pursue what I value. I have doubts about it. How do the two of you deal with the doubts?

My heart says one thing, what others say is another.

  2. RG,
Emily Cady is excellent. I am in that phase now where it is inside me not out. I want a life of joy, peace and excitement. I want to know that I am loved and wanted.

Does that serve me well when I get mad and scream and yell? NO it poisons me on the inside and does nothing to the people who I am screaming and yelling about. It is when I release them that I set myself free. That to me is being about love not chasing love.

I attract the things to me. These are ideas, these are the people I meet and it is up to me to take action. "Don't let me miss a trick".
Let me be the real me and follow my plan.
Let me be quiet two times a day for 30 minutes.
Let me help others with no agenda.
    Thanks,

    1. I like how you've put this. Sometimes I feel a glimmer of what you're saying and then it slides away. I'm not sure that we always know when we're afraid or 'if' we're afraid, what it really is of. I really appreciate some of you who put the stuff out there straight but also say we need to 'lighten up'.
I can get totally caught up in 'trying not to be afraid:)-does NOT work. somedays I really couldn't even tell you what I want -really. I do love helping others in whatever way to be successful/healthy etc, which is all I know for sure. I'm reading all of these because I need good quiet direction. Thanks for providing it.

  5. Hi Randy,

To live prosperously you mention to "unlearn" and not focus on the results but rather on the moment on a conscious level, as well as unconsciously.

How does a person unlearn years of lack programming in the most effective, quickest way?

I'm not referring to a quick fix because that would imply a lack of work. What I am referring to is more effectiveness rather than fast. But fast is good too 🙂

I've tried several methods over the years like affirmations, tapping, hypnotism, binaural beats and visualization.

They have worked but only very few times so I'm thinking the times when they worked I did something different like a change in emotion, circumstance or something but...

Im challenged to find that state of mind I was in but there is a blockage.

How do I find out what is blocking me so I have full potential to unlearn lack programming and live a life of prosperity?

Thank you for all your helpful advice,

    Scott Lucas

    1. Scott-

Just an observation: your thinking that there is a block may be the block.

To accelerate results,if you're not doing it already, I suggest a Science of Mind (United Centers for Spiritual Living) or Unity church. Immerse yourself in their classes and programs. There are NOT traditional churches. They teach worthiness, abundance and honor everyone and all paths to God. It's very empowering and you're around like-minded people.

        1. Joe, I am so appreciative of your comments. I have been meaning to attend CSL services for a while and keep blowing them off. But, even more to the point, I signed up for a CSL prosperity seminar which is tonight, and this morning talked myself out of going (I already know what to do - change my thoughts - what new info could I possibly learn?; it's too cold out; it's too far away; I'll get home too late to get up early tomorrow and work out; blah blah blah.) I have been vacillating all morning and your comment gave me clarity - of course I will attend. Randy thanks for the heads up on "Lessons in Truth," which I'd never heard of before, and for all you do to help the planet. You rock!

  6. yes, thank you randy... prosperity IS the way.. prosperity is right now - in this present momement... the question is... where am i in this present moment.. where is my mind and my "feeling-state"? ...that essence which drives my bus so-to-speak...

i love this quote from esther hicks... which always helps me to connect to my present moment and my choice of how i'm feeling right now...

"Appreciation is the secret to life.
Become a person who appreciates, and you will thrive: you will fulfill your reason for being."

  7. Yes this is a very interesting post you brought up here RG. I think in other words what your saying is prosperity is living consistently with who we really are. I think when we are born we are unhindered by the 'fake self' that our surroundings 'told' us or made us think we were. for example when u were 8 and if ur friends mother treated u like u were retarded and stupid u make take on that identity, even though u were not. So u may believe this for many years. So i think u got to unlearn all these mind viruses and fake identities and realise that we are all powerful beings with unlimited potential not what society sometimes has us believe. A lady could be beautiful if shes average size, she doesnt have to be extremely skinnu. I have a long way to go with this, but im realising i can turn this around quickly now by following some success principles and staying true to myself.
The way i am living this prosperity, or trying to live this prosperity is listening to my inner voice and doing whats good for me. I used to go to a lot of bad massages with bad women there when i was stressed. Well i dont think the women were really bad but u know what i mean. anyway everytime i come out of them, even ones where the girls do everything not just a bad massage, my vibratioons are very low, and i get extremely depressed. so i have to work hard to honour myself and my values and ive been going to decent ones if i have a muscles aches and i havent been doing anything dodgy in there. so today i went to a normal one, didnt do anything dodgy in there and felt my vibrations were high.
Also i have been living prosperity by speaking life into people all the time. really caring for them and giving good encouragement. i think when everyone is stronger i am stronger. and if people are unwilling to change and are too much of a bad influence on me, i have been letting them go from my life.
Also i have been watching my breathing. I think breathing is a very impportant aspect of health and well being. it can play a big part on state. also ive been very forgiving and not condemning to people. I see them as their pure self, the pure love on the inside, not the fake identities and memes they surround themselves with. So i speak to that part of them and treat them as the higher beings on the inside. in that way they have that to live up to who i treat them as. and when i can see them as who they really are, it is helping me see myself as who i really am.
and all these bad things i got involved in from a young age, and carried on for 10 years, im not blaming myself for it, cos i was ignorant back then, im just learning from it, forgiving myself and moving on from it. I havent watched these p0rnography movies in a week now.
i think we got to really understand ourselves, get connected with who we are and analyse who we are and why we do what we do. Also i think when we get a bad result, an effect, instead of looking outside us and saying "oh this world sucks" we should say, "what causes have i been responsible for that have brought about this result." you should then ask "let me trace it back". for example i havent had a gf for a while and i was thinking about it and i asked myself whyy. its because whenever im on a date, im only thinking about taking her somewhere quiet and hoping she lets me do whatever. so it scares her away. now im realising women have feelings and i should be more caring towards her and shouldnt have my own agendas all the time. i should be less selfish and self centred and see that everyone has wishes just like me
i also think we need to stand vigilant guard at the door of our minds. we must protect it at all times, not let any garbage get in there, like vulgar song and movies. see all these things carry a negative vibration with them, so we are vibrating at a level, and if we absorb the negative vibration we keep lowering ours. Now thats what we letting IN. we must also think what we are dispensing into the ether. is that good vibes or bad. cos energy always returns to its original source so if u let out a bad vibration thought, it will go find a friend and bring it home, and its home is you. So you can do this in many ways, u must ensure u think good things. u must ensure u say good things, u must ensure ur physiology is positive: a smile, good posture, vibrant steps, a twinkle in the eyes, heart switched on so love is emanating.........this way the force field around u would be goood.
and u can also do this by questioning ur beliefs on things, is my beliefs good or bad. do i think the universe is good. do i think most people are good, etc.
u must also flood urself with good things, i have been listenign alot to RG, Bob Proctor, Tony Robbins, some other books, watching online dreamboards with positive music, listening to classical music which helps the vibrations. and if im feel bad with a negative feelings, or anger, i quickly realise it and come to aid with something positive like some good music or video, or by being still relaxing and breathing.
but to answe randys question on how we can unlearn, i think to calm the mind, be still, and search within is the best way. search the inner trenches of the mind, the deep cavities, open the doors of the mind that we aree afraid of opening, these are the doors that will reveal the most. sometimes its hard but we must walk slowly, in the knowledge that a little more freedom lies on the other side of the door. like a bad stain on our shirt, we can avoid the trouble of washing it but forever be troubled with the stain, or we can courageously scrub off the stain and see the beautiful shirt after. and i think everyday we need to learn the lessons that the day teaches us, and always think about the POSITIVE aspects of every situation

    1. Nicely said Dan. It sounds like you're at a very powerful, healing and transformative point. If you practice beauty in your thoughts, feelings and actions at all times, you will create a beautiful and prosperous life...there's no getting around it. Whenever you move away from beauty (such as the massages you describe, or any other negative vibes like being judgemental/vindictive etc), you feel low energy, depression, self-esteem issues etc, because in that moment you're out of harmony with your highest self/god/universe, and that causes you to attract like energies that are low and negative. Practice beauty in every moment (which takes work and focus) and like Joe said, abundance and prosperity will flow from you...and enevitably back to you.

      -Sean

  8. Right on, Randy. We have to "undo." We are infinite, unlimited beings pretending we are not. The "doing" is waking up to the Truth of who we are and then going out and thinking, feeling and acting like the divine expressions of God that we are. Abudnace and prosperity flow from us, not to us, as we are abundance, we are love, we are peace, we are perfection.

  9. Just be pure and innocent as much as you can be as when you were born! Unlearning is hard but looking at a newborn baby, one realizes how simple that is.

  10. The illiterate of the 21st century are not the people who cannot read or write, it is the
people who cannot learn, unlearn and relearn.

I find being a Yes man opens many doors of opportunity.

    1. I so agree with what you have said so eloquently. I believe I am a student of life looking for teachers and this site provides a real wealth of what I am needing right here-right now.

  11. Yo Randy..

I love how u always go back to "natural state" of a child.

This is what we need to return to.., the state of "no limitation " and absolute abundance

My kid is constatntly told by me that he can have whatever he wants out of this world, just decide and go get it..

  12. Hi Randy,

Change, takes action I learned in my own experience that it wasn't until I address the deeper issues from years of dysfunctional family drama that I was able to breath, I felt lighter like a weight had lifted!

That program instilled in the Hard drive of your mind can play on and on for years until such time we go looking for that particular file and delete it or replace it.

what I find quite often is that many are afraid to open pandoras box and perhaps feel safer in a place they already know rather than venturing into clarity and a better way of life.

The programs you carry with you are what's creating your life, we had a local youth 23 years old who was stopped by a police officer this Sunday on one of the major highways here in Bergen County the young man chose to engage in a high speed chase which eventually lead to gunfire.

He passed away yesterday from the gun wounds and the officer is still in critical condition! Underlying beliefs are everything, in all aspects they form your life, your character, your behavior while it may be easy for many to condemn this young man, I felt sadness that he lived and died in dysfunction.

    1. Thanks for this. I've been thru much and opened, what I hope is, most of those doors. This all leaves me feeling vulnerable and not always knowing what the next right thing is. I have an amazing opportunity with an incredible company and ~ it's sooo s l o w. It's led me to go back doing what I always did (coaching from a low paying position)which I love. Am just financially challenged right now, making me second guess what I'm doing.

  13. If I visit the part of me that has already lives the dream, this is what it says:

We see the universe and our creator sending out all these stars; dreams for people, groups of people to focus on and create, like little missions. We manifest all we do by accepting the vision given to us, seeing the invitation in dream form and saying yes to it, that we will be it’s custodian. And this requires us being able to listen really well. To connect regularly to the higher purpose of the dream we accepted and follow the instructions as they are given. To trust not in ourselves but in something greater than ourselves. Our ability to work with life this way makes us feel amazing. It is this connection to life itself; this ability to let life flow through us, to feel the synchronicity in it's guidance that is our greatest joy and gift to others.

  14. Hi Randy.
I guess it comes down to following your own personal dream.

Chopra tells us that every single one of us has a very special talent. If we can focus on developing that which is our birth right we will not go wanting. (This is how I remember it.) I guess some of us need to rediscover our purpose, not be distracted by the need for immediate physical rewards knowing that our prosperity truely begins with developing and refining our own "special talent".

Unfortunately we feel we would like to do it, want to do it, even have decided to do it yet ulitimately found excuses why not yet. Please summon the absolutely "have to" mentality to make it happen.

On a selfish note, your prosperity benefits all of us around you. Look how Randy's prosperity has benefitted us so far! One hundred thousand more properous individuals can only change the world for the better!

    Have an awesome one!

    1. Brian,

      GREAT comment!

I think the greatest hurdle any of us face is to overcome the fear of bringing our BIG selves to the playing field. But you are so right when you point out that the whole world NEEDS for each one of us to show up in our full brilliance. We are ALL important … every one. This seems to me to be the wave of revolution we are all navigating right now – one Spirit after another. 🙂

And those who are brave enough to shine and show the way for others may come under some criticism initially from those who are being called lovingly out of the cave of their own imagined insignificance, but eventually, when we are all out there acting like the magnificent beings we arrived here as, just imagine how amazing this planet is going to be!

I saw a quote yesterday that your post brings to mind:

"It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are." ~ e.e. cummings

      K

  15. You're so right - "It’s about unlearning and getting back to the prosperity consciousness you were born with." We have complete access to universal intelligence if we just get present and get out of the mental noise of the mind.

  16. If humans were born with prosperity consciousness, that would mean that humans are born with knowledge of right and wrong. If that was true, then subconscious would reject negative programming, resulting in prosperity of every individual, and as we all know - not everyone is prosperous.
Consciousness is awareness derived from individual values of what is right and wrong. This knowledge is obtained from books, observations, influences and experiences, which later are processed by the action of a thought keeping only what makes sense, what is right and what is real. Without the necessary learning and application of thought, the result would be self-deceiving. For example, I was born in the former Soviet Union and was a slave to Communist regime. Programmed to live for others and that individualism did not exist, I did not know that I was a slave. I also did not know that I was born to be free and prosperous. Fortunately my parents knew that there was a better way of life. How did they know? They read books (Chekov, etc.)which depicted not only the human nature but also the life style of the past. The way people used to live inspired my parents to want more, which resulted in immigration to United States. It is here, where I learned about rights prosperity. I also learned that prosperity is not given, but attained through purpose, hard work, persistence, self-education and firm convictions. Example of that would be my house. I had a thought of building a house. Then I drew the house in water colors and placed it under the glass of my coffee table. I started saving money by working seven days a week. When enough was saved for the lot and downpayment I found land, hired a contractor, and built my house. So think and then do works.
To learn how to be prosperous, subconscious must be reprogrammed by conscious thought. If a certain thought does not serve your goal, then replace that thought with a productive one. In order to understand this process, emotions must not interfere with the thinking process of the mind. What feels good is not necessary a good value to have. Questions of the mind are: does it make sense? Does it serve my life's purpose? Will it make my life better? To question is to use your mind, and that requires getting smarter by learning as much as possible.

  17. Unlearning is work considering the years, but of course this is definitely what I prepared and working toward each and every day. Deprogramming, watching MUCH less t.v (if any these days, love my sports) exercising, eating better, oh just completely ridding myself of bad past habits. I find as you say RG, that I need to keep reading Prosperity material everyday!!! Before bed and when I wake. And your comments make me appreciate what it was like to be a child. Universal intelligence...Im up for it...

  18. Inner Health, Outer Wealth

    1. Take responsibility for what you have done, not only in finances, but throughout your entire life. Ownership gives you power. With that power, you can re-direct into effective change.

    2. Giving order to your finances gives order to your life. Everything happens in order.

    3. Determine income sources. If you are short on energy, you are going to be short on finances. What can you do to infuse yourself with energy?

    4. Where in life did you develop mind-patterns of low self-worth and punishment? You need to know that to avoid repeating it.

    5. Do your release work. Let go of the negative space-holders so the positive ones have room to manifest.

    6. Outpicture what you want by mentally creating the positives. Dream it, feel it, be it.

    7. Accept the positives that you create.

  19. One key to prosperity too often overlooked is NOT gratitude...but BLESSING! You aren't truly grateful (focus on you) until you can BE the blessing (focus on others). Through the Law of Indirect Effort...you will be blessed to the degree you bless others...not with the thought of getting, but with the thought of who you really are. A radiant, connected, soul of Spirit ready to inherit all that is waiting for you! Want to know more? Pick up Eric Butterworth's book: Spiritual Economics at your nearest Unity Church. Blessings to you!

i love this quote from esther hicks... which always helps me to connect to my present moment and my choice of how i'm feeling right now...
