Poison for Thought

Posted By: Randy GageMarch 31, 2009

So did you take some time after the last post to really analyze your thoughts and determine how many are negative versus positive?

Let me give you some tough love…

Most of you didn’t do it.  You decided you’re busy and you didn’t need to do it.  A lot of you thought about it and came to the conclusion that you mostly think positive.  You just can’t understand why your manifestation on the physical world hasn’t caught up.

Of course most of you are in total denial…

Because the universe doesn’t work that way.  If you really were thinking as positive as you believe, you’d be manifesting more prosperity on the physical realm.

Now perhaps you think I’m being unfair, practicing negative projection, or just wrong.  We’ll find out for sure on the next post!  Because I’ll give you a test that will reveal where you’re really at.

  1. I have been working on being positive! When a negative thought comes into my head, and it's usually something from the past, I tell myself to change the channel. If I can, I actually change what I am listening to on the radio, and then concentrate on what the program is about. I don't want to be in a grumpy mood for my customers! Thanks for caring enough to challenge us to change. I am up for the challenge.

  2. Gee....That was a rather negative post.... 😉

I've been reading a TON of Neale Donald Walsch these days, and he helped me to "get" some of what you've been talking about.

It's REALLY been affecting my thoughts lately.

    Do you like his stuff?

  3. Coming out of a company training just 2 months ago where one segment was training on social media networking, there was a huge influx of company people on certain social media sites in the days thereafter. Funnily enough, most of them are now non existent.

As with everything, be it networking, taking time to analyze your thoughts, learning guitar, making money, it all takes focus and consistency and that is just too hard for some people.

The upside is that those who do. . . . become!

  4. You are right about the denial. It is a default that we take our hands off the wheel, even as we try to discipline our mind.

    Requires constant practice, I find.

    Consciousness is kinda hard work!

  5. Randy,

One thing I think should be clarified more often...

You wrote: "If you really were thinking as positive as you believe, you’d be manifesting more prosperity on the physical realm."

I think positive thinking is ESSENTIAL to success, but it's not the only thing necessary. People need to be willing to TAKE ACTION to achieve prosperity.

It all STARTS with thinking, but it IS possible to be a positive thinker who is just plain lazy and never attracts any prosperity.

  6. You know, everyone including myself can read all the positive thinking books in the world but when it comes right down to it, it is a day by day, hour by hour and even sometime's a minute by minute struggle to weed out all the negative programing we are all instilled with since childhood.

It is the hardest job I have ever had. Sometimes I have a handle on it and other times it gets the best of me. I can only say this, I know I am in a better place than I was ten years, five years ago. Am I where I want to be? No, but I am getting closer.

The main thing like you say, is to be honest with myself. Only when we are honest with ourselves can we make course corrections when needed.
Like Dr. Phil says all the time
" You can't change what you don't acknowledge."

    Thanks again Randy,
    Lucinda

  7. Dear Randy,
it's wonderfull that your posts recieve to me whenever I need to. after reading the season 3 of THINK AND GROW RICH of Napoleon Hill, I have just thought that do I think positivley or not? I eagerly waiting for your test.

    Best wishes

  8. Hi Randy

Can I ask what you mean by Positive thoughts?

For example, say I want to manifest a car, if I just think about the car or imagine it I wouldn`t necessarily say it is a positive or negative thought. However, if I affirm that I deserve it and that I can get it, I would probably class those as positive thoughts.

I spend alot of time thinking about what I would like but no time at all affirming whether I deserve it, so I am probably not changing any beliefs.

    What are your opinions?

    Regards
    Ari

  9. We all have negative thoughts.... the secret is overcome them. One way of overcoming negative thoughts, is finding the source that makes us negative and deal with it. If you can't deal with it, find someone to help you, like a counsellor (a professional)
Some negative thoughts can help the positive to come out. For everything to be in balance, we all need negative and positive. All positive is not all good. All negative is not all good. It has to be balanced. I don't say that I do not have negative thoughts. I just don't talk about them.

  10. How can you be a positive thinker and lazy? Laziness is a product of fear which is not positive. Doesn't work that way.

  11. As I read the other comments, a few thoughts come to mind, the first of which is the repetition of a phrase in "Conversations with God" that goes, "What you resist, persists". So having negative thoughts that come in the form of talking about others in a critical, negative way directly impacts being stuck in the mud. And the solution is to change our mind and thoughts and let it go. But that's not easy. I have these negative thoughts and work hard at eliminating them, but I'm still not there. I'd love to have push to get over the edge and release them!

  12. You caught me working and with my head down inviting to an event that I was leading. I spend a lot of time in the real world - not web-world - observing people around me to understand where they are coming from and the first level of consideration is whether the emote the positive and not the lack-attitudes. I can adjust accordingly when I sum that up. Of course there are a lot of people that (most, generalizing) are wrapped up in the negative din that is pervasive on media - etal - yet there are those that who are not. I have always chosen my words carefully mostly to be certain that I am going to be understood - and that catches me because people don't understand vocabulary like my good ol' english teacher Dad stuffed down my throat.

What I do influences a tremendous amount of people daily. I measure that with the amount of times I hear - that was the mose uplifting or positive thing that I have heard all day - all week etc... That happens all the time for me. That reinforces my thoughts of prosperity - support of others for my prosperity

I have to add that I get RSS'd and emailed and twittered and facebooked and the list is endless of people and sources that send out inspirational words, phrases and encouragement daily - which I select the one that effect me - reflect me - promote me and induce me to replicate. I use this blog for that too. That fact that you called everyone on their lack of response is not negative - confrontation is not always negative - it's pivotal. How you respond will demonstrate how much poison might need to be extracted. ok - now I HAVE to go to work... ;>

  13. In theory, I suppose I agree with you. But I've known a few people with big dreams that get them excited and enthusiastic, yet they never take the risks and action necessary to go after those dreams. I suppose you can make the argument that they're not really thinking positive enough, but I think it's important to recognize that positive thinking alone isn't enough, you've got to take action on those positive thoughts.

    My motto: Dream Big/Take Action!

  14. Hi Randy,
Thanks for your orientation into ourselves, mostly our thoughts. I did some thinking, I took some accelerated action and I got $5500 richer in a week. I know there are people who earn this money daily and on a regular basis, but it's a good step forward for me, a kind of confirmation that manifestation occurs when you are on the right track.
Thanks again, it's really working. I listened until I knew it, now I can prove it - it doesn't happen by reading "The Secret" 11 times but by being honest with oneself and active.

  15. Denial is not a river in the Middle East but it is a cancer spreading throughout our country. For a guy who is one of the most positive people I have meet, Randy, your post has a very negative connotation. Although I know that the criticism is done out of concern for all. I would interject that there were several of us who took the challenge seriously. I have even gone back to carrying a journal to jot down my thoughts (neg. vs. pos.) throughout this week just to recheck my own programming as I have been accused by my family and coworkers of being one of the most positive people they have ever meet. This took a few years of work due to 17 years of negative programming from my parents who really never understood how all the negativity could possibly be negatively effecting thier lives and those of everyone around them. I was challeneged yesterday as I received a letter in the mail from a major bank informing me that they had cancelled my c.c. I have had this card since 1980 and have never made a late payment and when I called Customer Service the rep could only repeat "We're sorry there is nothing we can do!" I'm having some negative thoughts writing this post but I'm not acting on them and identifying them as they present themselves and reframing the thoughts to bring about a more positive response. "After 29 years of doing business our relationship is over due to no fault of my own." "I wish the bank much success in the future."

  16. Welcome to Japan, Randy. I am one of the Cancun-Qualified Japanese (one of three). Maybe you are the only one who can make that company into the right way:

    HERE (Japan)
    - Executive Pac 1560 USD (16 boxes)
    - Personal Pac 440 USD ( 4 boxes)
    - Economy Pac 140 USD (1 box)
    ( I calculated 1 USD = 95 JPY exchange rate: as of 19 March 2009)
on the contrary, in the USA (and other countries)
    - Executive Pac 1000 USD (16 boxes)
    - Personal Pac 250 USD ( 4 boxes)
    - Economy Pac 100 USD (1 box)

Will you buy AGEL Products in Japan as a consumer??

In such an economic situation, we can not enroll/ recruit executive level members because it would be seemed like "Fraudulence". Can you imagine such feelings and qualms of conscience?? Can you imagine the thoughts of a cancun-qualified manager (one of just THREE in JP) who is tormented by guilty consciences??

Thanks and see you at cancun (I am not now in Tokyo)

  17. Japon, I dont think it has anything to do with money, we in Malaysia sell for the same amount as the US so ? Its the PRODUCT which is superior and we have to stay positive. My wife has been diagnosed with Breast cancer two month ago, last night we achieved the rank of Director. We certainly wouldnt be able to achieve this in this times if we are not positive and believe in the Company and RANDY. He has gien us sooooo much confidence and self believe that even the cancer does not scare us (well a little bit) My wife was ALWAYS POSITIVE since she joined AGEL and I was able to turn my negative self around over the last two years and believe in positive thoughts. So think positive dont feel guilty and you will go far

  18. In Malaysia, 3745 MYR (around $1020) for exec pac.
Plus, there is "preferred customer service" as far as i know.

HERE: No "preferred customer service". Paid-Salary-man can not engage. Apparent difference, don't you think, huh?
