Move Back the Fences!

Posted By: Randy GageAugust 9, 2011

It’s strange how many people want to own their limitations and affirm them every chance they get.  But usually those limitations are the ones they’ve created in their own minds…

They’re too old, too young, don’t have enough education, were born on the wrong side of the tracks, etc. etc.  Of course these are self-erected fences they’ve put around their own success.

As James Allen tells us, when you’re the thinker of the thought, you’re the maker of yourself and condition.  Thought is random or deliberate and depending which way you choose is going to determine your results in life.  You think, and your life manifests.

How are you really doing on that?  Do you think about what you think about during the course of the day?  Do you begin each morning with positive programming?  Have you created the vision of your ideal life for your subconscious mind to bring forth?  I hope so.

If not, go through my Power Prosperity Program.  It’s a multi-media resource with CDs, DVDs and study guide, to direct you through the process.  Do it solid for 30 days, every day.  Then go back and revisit it as needed.

Remember, most of those limitations you have are simply mental.  You bought into them and built those fences.  And you can always move them back!

It's funny, when you think about what it's like to feel complete peace, freedom to be who you are surrounded by people who all enjoy each others company, at first you get a sense of deep contentment, feeling as if you don't have to do or be anything in order to have meaning in your life. And then, once your there for a while a new feeling emerges.

It's not one of discontent. That would arise if you were not happy to begin with. This new feeling is one of opportunity. This new feeling says now that we have each other, what can we do to make each others lives even more great? What skills can we learn? How can we grow so that we have more to give, not because we are not content with how things are, but because we CAN and there's nothing stopping us.

When the limiting beliefs come down, although it brings us complete peace just as things are, it also brings with it opportunities to create and share something better.

This is the place I aim to live from everyday.

  2. Love your article Randy!
And yes I am thinking about what I think about (actually become pretty good at that. Exercise every day. Positive programming first thing in the morning. Have your "Power Prosperity Program" and doing it. Need to work more on visions and goals so put that on my "battleplan".
By the way - I had a very nice Grandfather that tought me, there is no such thing as limits, because if you say you only can "do" to a certain point, it is like putting up a fence and saying there is nothing behind that fence and everything stops there. But that's not real - what is behind that fence?
So he was pretty cool 🙂

Self confidence ( which includes lack of fear of failure) and having a definite purpose are vital in removing limitations. There is a great self confidence formula in Think and Grow Rich - in chapter 3 on Faith. For those who dont have the book - voila!

FIRST. I know that I have the ability to achieve the object of my Definite Purpose in life, therefore, I DEMAND of myself persistent, continuous action toward its attainment, and I here and now promise to render such action.

SECOND. I realize the dominating thoughts of my mind will eventually reproduce themselves in outward, physical action, and gradually transform themselves into physical reality, therefore, I will concentrate my thoughts for thirty minutes daily, upon the task of thinking of the person I intend to become, thereby creating in my mind a clear mental picture of that person.

THIRD. I know through the principle of auto-suggestion, any desire that I persistently hold in my mind will eventually seek expression through some practical means of attaining the object back of it, therefore, I will devote ten minutes daily to demanding of myself the development of SELF-CONFIDENCE.

FOURTH. I have clearly written down a description of my DEFINITE CHIEF AIM in life, and I will never stop trying, until I shall have developed sufficient self-confidence for its attainment.

FIFTH. I fully realize that no wealth or position can long endure, unless built upon truth and justice, therefore, I will engage in no transaction which does not benefit all whom it affects. I will succeed by attracting to myself the forces I wish to use, and the cooperation of other people. I will induce others to serve me, because of my willingness to serve others. I will eliminate hatred, envy, jealousy, selfishness, and cynicism, by developing love for all humanity, because I know that a negative attitude toward others can never bring me success. I will cause others to believe in me, because I will believe in them, and in myself.

I will sign my name to this formula, commit it to memory, and repeat it aloud once a day, with full FAITH that it will gradually influence my THOUGHTS and ACTIONS so that I will become a self-reliant, and successful person.

  4. Hi Randy,
Doubt, fear are simply states of mind which can turn into negative patterns if they cultivated long enough!I'm working to improve my awareness every day with meditation, affirmations and self improvement in the morning.I created a mind movie for my ideal life and watch it every day.Since I have these habits I feel more confident and productive in my business:)

Creating a great life starts with being 100% responsible for what happens between your ears.

    Thanks for sharing,

  5. Just spoke to a really successful friend of mine. He knows nothing about todays blog and he said " my father used to say to me - you can be, do and have anything you want, if you have one thing - balls!"
Translated into personal dev lingo - take massive action today.

  6. Brilliant and straight to the point. We are what we think and attracted the life we currently occupy. Many thanks and blessings!

  7. Wow, this was a reality check. I have heard myself saying those same words. Interesting when I began taking 'serious' responsibility (not just lip service) the outcome changed.
    Thanks Randy.

  8. Hi Randy
This blog item is such a thrilling life overall window that I commit to go through your programme. I've gotten it home before summer after some months of deliverance-turmoil due to mal-spelling of postaladdress. Obvious what I manifestet in the first place.

  9. I just jumped on this slow-motion train lately and figured that due to being brought up by fences as a child to keep our first steps safe we all "run" several programs in our mind, not only 1 or 2 for a certain role we have to or will perform, also side-connected programs with certain believes to keep walking. Now, re-structuring these solid "helpful" old fences and re-building our own village or city we built, needs to be visible for us before we can do the restructuring part and widen spaces! I need pictures to do the abstract - GOOD ABSTRACT!!
    Thanks Randy.

  11. When I find myself again surrounded by these self-erected fences, I am now able to say to myself, hey .. that's not where I want to be. I am now able to tune in into the right audios ... find the right quotes and watch the videos that "wake me" up to look outside the box, because that's where my vision and goals are.
Getting this awareness took me a long time, and I am proud of myself to finally turn it into a habit.
