Memorial Weekend Mental Aerobics...

Posted By: Randy GageMay 28, 2010

Tonight begins the Memorial Day weekend here in the U.S.  I’m on my way to a softball tournament in Minneapolis with the team, so figured this was a good time for another mental aerobics.  This is a good exercise to improve your vocabulary and English skills for those of you that don’t speak English as your first language.  (Like you guys in Miami!)  And it’s a great way to improve your lateral thinking processes.

Here’s your challenge…

Below you will find 26 words, each with two letters missing.  Arrange the 26 letters of the alphabet in the first empty column (all the missing letters on the left side), and again in the second column (the spaces on the right side).  You can only use each letter once on each side.  Some of the words can be completed more than one way.  However there is only ONE way to solve the whole puzzle.

Because I’m feeling magnanimous, I’ve given you the first word already.  So that means that ‘G’ is used on the left side, and ‘M’ is gone for the right side.

The first person to solve it will receive worldwide fame and adulation.  Let’s see what you got.  I’ll post the answers when I return.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.  No matter where you live, please take some time this weekend to remember those that gave their lives for your country and appreciate those still serving.

  7. this reminds me of being in college. I was in a marketing class and enter class was given the challenge of finding the answers. There must have been 10 groups (all with 12 in them). Thinking I was dumb- I purchased the "study guide" for the class. I remember looking at my group as they frantically brainstormed for answers. I said "Guys the answers are on page 35 of the study guide." I was then dubbed a genius. LMAO..thanks for the memories Randy! PS My group won the assignment though I now way would win this one:)
