Looking in the Mirror

Posted By: Randy GageOctober 1, 2018

Last post I shared with you the question that transformed my life forever.  It was the question I asked in desperation, after a continuous pattern of health challenges, business failures, toxic relationships, and self-sabotage.

And that question was…

In all of these drama and trauma situations, is there one person – who was always at the scene of the crime?

Now of course I didn’t like the answer I came up with for that question.  It was a metaphysical kick in the nuts.  But the reason it transformed my life, was I changed the direction of my searching.  Instead of looking outside, I turned the gaze inside.

And if I could isolate one thing that breakthroughs are made from, it would be that.  The willingness to work on yourself.  Developing self-awareness.

The tragic truth for most people is they get the life they’re willing to put up with.  Why do they settle for that?

Because then they can play the victim card.  Nothing is ever their fault.  So while they live a life of quiet desperation, at least they can tell themselves it isn’t their fault.

And that’s it, kids, end of story.  You either play the victim card, and try to blame your circumstances on external factors.  Or you take responsibility and co-create your life.

So which option are you choosing?

  1. Not to generalize but are the English ever deadly for that.. they even have a word for it.. whinging.. my mother was really deadly for that, could never take responsibility or the blame for anything.. and I had this loser ex-friend English bloke who was stuck in the past moaning about his wife screwed up their biz.. oh nothing to do with you eh Andy??

  2. The funny part of this is they can blame the God itself for their failures. Taking responsibility for everything what happening to you is looks like a hard thing. But there are also a good thing inside it: if you do something right, you can "blame" yourself too. Because you made that business not someone else. You solved the problem, you organized everything in order. It was YOU, who have done the job. Responsibility not always a bad thing. It have it's winnings. But I don't mean it some egoistic way, by elevating yourself above everybody, I just say that if all of the thing are fucked in your life, YOU are always at the scene of the crime, meaning, if you done well, YOU are at the winning scene as well. This is a fact too. Can serve you very well, if you aren't fall in a huge ego trap.

  3. Those are keys to your beliefs and your God.
That is what we aren't tuning to and believing.

If you don't change what you listen to, you are choosing to be a victim with a God who victimizes..

I think you can be unaware or aware of this.

Hopefully if you are aware you will change.

They probably have you programmed that you can't change, it is too hard to change, or this is the way it is, or this is what everyone else is doing.

I don't think babies are born with those beliefs. They want to live and are good.

    1. Well, I didn't kick myself in the N...…..'s but I surely agree that if that's what it takes to get over the victim mentality and come to the realization that we are what we think, feel, desire, act upon, manifest, etc.... then GO FOR IT!!
This might make a great youtube video Randy.
