Living an IMAX Life…

Posted By: Randy GageSeptember 6, 2021

Your life is like a movie you watch.  Last post we discussed the perspective you have on your life, and how that view helps set your destiny. Many people watch their life movie on the screen of an iPhone 4.  Others view their lives through a 98-feet-tall IMAX-3D screen with laser projection and 12-channel Dolby sound system.  The bigger a window you see the world through, the more likely you are to allow yourself to experience abundance, living a life of health, happiness, and prosperity.  As promised last time, let’s explore some ways to expand your panorama and develop stronger prosperity consciousness. It begins with a very simple, yet very profound premise…

To Change Anything Outside, You Must First Change the Inside

There’s not really anything that’s going to change in the stock market, monetary policy, or the banking system during the time it takes you to move from poor to wealthy.  The change has to come from within you. The specific transformation that has to take place is the way you think.  Which leads us to another very simple, yet very profound premise…

Your Life is Created by the Thoughts You Give Precedence to Every Day

I realize this is James Allen As a Man Thinketh 101. But it’s astonishing how few people recognize and do anything about the thoughts they have each day.  Allen uses the garden analogy.  If you allow your garden to develop on its own, it will be overgrown with weeds.  If you cultivate it, you can grow healthy vegetables, or lovely flowers.

Most people experience the thoughts others feed them.  You have to become the “thinker of the thought” and mindfully direct the process.  This means noticing the seemingly random thoughts that enter your mind unannounced and then processing them.  For most people, more than 80 or 85 percent of the thoughts they think are simply mind viruses they’ve been infected with. (And being off all social media for more than three weeks has only deepened my conviction on this.)  The way the media and social media deploy their marketing departments, behavioral psychologists, and computer algorithms is designed to physiologically condition and addict you to their shitstorm of never-ending stimuli.  At some point you stop thinking and become a mindless bot with a pulse. (You can read a deep dive into that here.)

You’ve got to question the premise on anything important that gets served up into your eco-system.  Develop the mindset of an engineer.  Be curious about everything you see and want to know how it works, and how it could work better.  And apply this same mindset to yourself, other people, and how we all behave.

Question, question, question...

Question whether that person, business, or government trying to influence your thinking is:

  • Trying to manipulate you?
  • Suffering from a confirmation bias?
  • Acting out a hidden agenda?
  • Trying to fill an unmet childhood need?
  • Discerning and mindful, or easily manipulated?
  • Looking for your best interests or trying to sabotage you?
  • Modeling the kind of life you want to live?

Questions like those above help you identify negative and limiting beliefs before you become infected by them.  Not to flog my last book Radical Rebirth (okay maybe just a little), but there really isn’t another resource on earth that breaks down the six most important areas of a prosperous life, and then quantifies the most common and destructive mind viruses in each category.  The book will also provide you with empowering thoughts and beliefs to replace the ones that don’t serve you.

The other important step is planting your garden.  You have to mindfully select a larger percentage of the thoughts you’re going to be exposed to.  That means intentionally setting aside self-development time and choosing positive programming to fill it.  This blog and the Power Prosperity Podcast are a great place to start. Every day the universe asks you an all-important question. That question is:

How much prosperity are you willing to accept today?

Each day when this question comes around, make sure you’re viewing the world through a big enough window to make the prosperous choice.

Peace,

 -RG
