Join the Risky Tour!

Posted By: Randy GageAugust 28, 2012

I’ve told you before about my upcoming book, Risky Is the New Safe.  It’s a different kind of book for a different kind of thinking.  In essence, it’s a thought-provoking manifesto for risk takers.

Disruptive technology, accelerating speed of change and economic upheaval are changing the game.  The same tired, old conventional thinking won’t get you to success today.  This book will change the way you look at everything!  You’ll view challenges – and the corresponding opportunities they provide – in entirely new and exciting ways.  You’ll recognize powerful new gateways you can walk through to create wealth.

You’ll learn which jobs and business models will disappear forever, and how to position yourself in the ones that will thrive in the emerging cycles.   You’ll discover how to think differently and develop the same mindset the world’s highest level achievers harness for success.

It’s my most important work ever, and I want to get the word out in a big way.  So that could provide a very lucrative opportunity for any organizations you belong to.  Here's how:

I purposely left a three-week hole in my schedule this year, timed for the launch.  During those three weeks I’ll be doing the book tour and media appearances.  If you want to host a Risky Is the New Safe book signing, it could be a lot of fun, and raise some serious cash for your group or association.

Here’s the kind of situation I’m talking about.

Tim Durkin in Dallas read a galley proof and loved the book.  He put together a special event for his National Speakers Association North Texas chapter.  They reached out to Toastmasters and other associations for consultants, coaches and entrepreneurs.  They set a price, which includes one book for every attendee.  (And I’ll be signing them afterward.)  Then the rest of the gate goes to support their association’s budget.  We'll have an amazing event, and the association will stock up on some serious dosh.  My normal fee would be $30,000 to $45,000, which I'm waiving, because I want to get the book out there in a big way.

This is my ninth book, and definitely the one I’m most excited about!  It will shake you up, bend your mind, and cause you to do some serious critical thinking.  In it, you’ll discover:

  • How mavericks like Steve Jobs, Richard Branson and Mark Cuban, think differently – and what you can learn from them;
  • The six-month online course that could allow you to earn more than a Ph.D.;
  • How social media changes branding and marketing forever, and what that means for you;
  • What happens when holo-suites and virtual-reality sex come about, and how you need to prepare;
  • The New Religion of Ideas:  How to become an “idea generator” and declare as a free agent; and,
  • What will cause the Euro, precious metals, and oceanfront real estate to collapse – and how that can make you rich!

So, if you have a group in the U.S. or Canada that would appreciate the book, and want to host an event on the tour, get in touch with Lornette Browne at (305) 573-2994.  Let's have an awesome event together!

  3. My parents and grandparents knew a world where you got a "good job" and you kept it for life. A world where if you worked hard, your background didn't matter as much as the fact you did something.Now, those days are long over. Most of the work which people do can be outsourced to India or done by a part-timer, or they can hire someone fresh out of college for a much lower rate than someone with many years of experience in their field.Competition is fierce- even fiercer if for whatever reason you didn't attend a good University, thus creating a world where only those who were groomed for academic success have a shot.It used to be if "do well in school, get a good job and you'll be set for life". With much of a generation drowning in student loan debt, or deciding to postpone or even drop college, it appears that the promise of opportunity has been broken. Many sources say my generation and those who are younger will make less than the Baby Boomers.We are in a period of extreme change where the old order is crumbling and doesn't know what to do. If we wish it, and we support great ideas, we can have a new renaissance in business and the arts.A world where people are poor whether they do the "right" things or not is a bad world indeed. I would love your thoughts on this.-TE

    1.  @ThomasMrak You know, the world is always changing.  I know we think that our times are in upheaval, but think about the world if you happened to be born around 1900 as a Russian Jew (the reason I'm talking about this is because I read a book about a woman that experienced this!).  She had to flee Russia because she was Jewish, her husband was involved in WW1, her son killed in WW2, she experienced Korea AND Vietnam, as well as all the deprivations and economic ups and downs of those eras.  Just think what you would think of the world if these were your experiences.  It has never been easy to succeed...it's just necessary to adapt to any changes that are thrown our way.  Good luck adapting - it's an exciting and scary time!

  9. HI Randy, thank you for your great work again! Cannot wait for your new book! I am Russian living and running my MLM biz in Greece. I do read your books in English, also in Russian. But Greece is absolutely out of your positive influence yet. We really need your book and seminars in the Greek language. Do you have something like that in your plan?

      1.  @Randy_Gage Yeah, true, according to what you said during one of your seminars, Greece nowadays has the MLM mentality of the 70s USA, which is bad on one hand, but on the other hand shows great possibilities to expand. My husband and I have a plan to be the first to invite you to Greece )))) Mark our names, Randy. )))) Yana Shrayber and Christos Tziakos.

    1. @Mike Daly Hi Mike! Can I ask...did it show you how to get started and exactlely what to do for"The five minute mogul?" I'm asking because I need help...I don't exactlely have my brain wrapped around this whole thing yet.

  13. Steve Jobs, Richard Branson and Mark Cuban stole from the average uninformed so their brushes with illegal actions keeps them as maverick saints while Bernie Madoff stole from the rich, otherwise same tactics, same risk taking all at someone else's expense.

    1.  @Iceburner1 While I can't say much about Branson or Cuban, Steve Jobs did sell Xerox stock in exchange for tours of Xerox PARC, a research facility in Silicon Valley. Xerox pretty much invented the modern computer- the point and click interface, document processing, and ethernet networking. However, at the time Xerox management considered the company a copier company, and didn't capitalize on its innovations. Apple did.http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2011/05/16/110516fa_fact_gladwell
