The Power of Ideas for Prosperity

Posted By: Randy GageJune 24, 2011

I remember a quote from Einstein to the effect that he could find 95 percent of what you know in a $2 almanac.  What he treasured were people who could actually think.

Fast-forward that to today, and we might be able to say we can find 98 percent of what you know with a free Google search.  Unfortunately the education system is still trapped in the memorizing information model.  You don't need to know more facts.  You need to know how to interpret the millions you already know.  Your ability for critical thinking is more vital than ever…

Charles Fillmore taught that our creator surrounded us with spiritual substance.  It is everywhere in the world, even in what may appear to be the poorest places.  But we must be co-creators to manifest it in the physical plane.  And the way you do that is through the power of ideas…

No one has a money shortage.  There are only idea shortages.

  1. The power of every single person's mind, especially the creative mind, is infinite. And when great minds collaborate, anything is possible. I feel very strongly about collaboration whether personal or for business in that it brings people's ideas together which will culminate into something amazing.

And if you're interested in the ideas our new start up is working on it has to do with transforming the way people learn by making ALL types of learning FUN! It's about staying engaged through edutainment and convergence.

People of wealth who may not have great ideas need to invest in those that do, especially when it can be a game changer. Agree?

    1. Randy, very timely reminder for me, thanks! In relation to there not being a money shortage, as you point out, we also have to believe we are worthy of receiving more money than we are accustomed to. That makes a big difference in tapping into and acting upon the flow of ideas from the universe.

      1. Alan, your remark about worthiness is dot-on for me. I didn't think that was my issue until I heard someone say, "I feel like I only deserve 2nd best" and tears sprang to my eyes. Oh.
I was living in the delusion that worthiness wasn't an issue for me; but I've attracted your remark as another confirmation that I need to do more clearing work on this. thanks for your help!

  2. I read somewhere that the best way to find an idea, is to find a problem that needs to be solved or an idea that needs to be improved upon. The bigger the problem, the greater the opportunity. It's great to think of new ideas through expanded thinking, but most great ideas's are right in front of us. It's our job to make ourselves sensitive to attracting them.

  3. Randy, critical thinking and idea generation is crucial in our world. Information is at our fingertips in mass quantities. Interpreting that information for relevant facts to your own personal cause, a business project or a spiritual journey requires thinking and confidence and more importantly, a circle of people that you trust to share with for an answer.

  4. My coment is short Money Never Sleps! People are scared to spend, however if you don't and dominate your sector you will watch certain people become highly successful as you stagnate in this economy!

  5. Hi, Randy,

    Sadly true that much of
current "education" is still centered around memorizing and regurgitating information.

I think it was Robert Kiyosaki who said that "Being educated is being able to turn information into MEANING."

Still, there are a few elementary schools I am aware of that do turn out creative, "free thinking" young folks, so at least in a small way the tide is turning.

Little by little the 100th Monkey Effect will appear as people come to realize their ability to manifest from Substance via Creative Thought.

It's all happening with slow acceleration.

    blessings,

  6. I'm going to have to disagree with you on this one, Randy. I think there are PLENTY of ideas - look at all the creation that is going on, books and movies and new fashions and new menu-items (ok, so I like clothes & food. Live with it) and more new things hitting the market every minute.

Human Beings are idea-machines! Why, even I have lots of ideas, some of them eminently marketable. But....I don't. I don't market them.

I suspect that many of the bright people who read this blog have some Good Ideas up their sleeves (even tho we were all educated according to the 'old system' of memory-training.)

The challenge is to select an idea - and run with it (action). ACTION is the hard part. The ability (confidence, faith, optimiism, etc.) to ACT -- that's the missing element.

It's not the lack of ideas - it's the lack of those elements that give us the inner strength to act.

    1. Randy isn't suggesting that the magic is only in ideas...he's said many times that without action and the worthiness to feel you are deserving, you'll get nowhere. (His comment about numerous viewings of the secret and erroneously expecting your Lambo to roll up is one he's shared often.) The point I get from this is simply that he's trying to convey that there are no shortages...anywhere...that it is all about co-creating through ideas...that the creative substance is always there formthe grabbing. That said, you're spot on about ideas being everywhere...that developing the mindset of worth and the discipline of action and positive thinking is what aligns you with the universe/God etc. and allows you to manifest this on the physical plane. To me, due to the short nature of the blog, Randy is simply laying out a piece of the puzzle. Creative ideas combined with the right mindset, and the action that spring from the discipline of that mindset is what opens the door to all the yumminess of the world.

For me personally, creative ideas have never been the problem, it's always been about worthiness and laziness! But I am currently kicking both of those issues asses!! 🙂 I'm on the brink of some of my biggest breakthroughs/accomplishments ever, and I have Randy to thank for much of it! Thank you sir!

      -Sean

      1. Thanks Sean - I like your honesty, and always love it when someone takes time to engage with me about these ideas!

Creative ideas are a dime a dozen, but the sorts of ideas that support prosperity - Oh! those are rare & precious indeed! That's why I'm collecting them, as you are too. Lucky, isn't it, that we can both have massive collections of prosperity-supporting ideas? Your collection enriches mine. thanks. Mrs. H&P

  7. I've always said, don't give me facts, give me ideas. I've yet to find someone who came accross a fact and had that fact turn their life around. But a few cool ideas in the head can change the world!

  8. So true.

I see this in the Venture Capital world where so many entrepeneurs bemoan their ability to attract venture capital. My response is that they dont have a money problem, they have an idea problem.

So too in so many other aspects of our life. Thanks for reminding me of this fundamental truth. And, thanks for all you do to help us bust through limiting beliefs.

  9. This is my main criticism of some companies and the American educational system.

Instead of nurturing free thinking and different ways of accomplishing a task, we crush it- medicating kids, teenagers and adults, labeling them as disordered. Having rules and systems which go out of their way to prevent any sort of change in the world.

    We need more disordered people.

We wouldn't have any progress whatsoever if someone like Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak didn't think it was a great idea to do something "risky" and form Apple.

No new art if every artist was required to attend art school in order to create, or spend years "proving themselves".

In the past, more people created things, and forged westward into the unknown. There was no obsession with finding a "one size fits all" solution or "the right way", or that the best solution to the problem is needing the right amount of ______ or knowing the right people first, or even asking someone else for permission.

America will become a second rate country if we do not embrace the divine act of creation, and take risks again!

After all, many people who need to "play it safe" and impede progress for the sake of "those are the rules, they are unchangeable", are the most scared.

Doing nothing will surely lead to what they fear the most.

  10. it´s not only that our school/education system still is locked in the memorizing information model, still the "grade" counts and one reaches the top/best easily by only memorizing the facts. 1.Q.: do you know someone who is working on a new learning system like, how to interpret ones own info? 2.Q.: is there any American Private School/academy working or doing something new like this already?

    1. I know that some of the more expensive private schools use a variation on the Socratic method and other tools for teaching people to think freely.

I didn't go to one, but when I lived in Pennsylvania, I met some people who did have wealthy backgrounds. They were freethinkers for the most part.

I think that the reason there is no change is to limit the number of people who can succeed artificially. But, that's merely an opinion.

      1. Interesting! Thanks for that insight! the latest news I heard over here in Germany is that some academies don´t give grades anymore and instead offer a certificate which states that the attendee passed the class "x". I also spoke to a data analyist from NYC in May when being over in FL., he also gave me the info that he got a "P" on his certificate which means "passed". No grades. Sounds like a re-start! And I bet each of us (from the not so wealthy families) needs a certain portion of mental skills before we´re ready to live without grades, which provokes judgement.

  11. The more we focus on what is lacking or wrong in the North American Educational System, the more......will show up that is wrong. Are we sure this is what we want to create with our creative thinking???
