How You Get More Money

Posted By: Randy GageMarch 10, 2010

So we’ve been talking about how the worthiness issue keep millions of people in lack.  In yesterday’s post we discussed the role organized religion plays in that.  (And I must admit I was pleasantly surprised to only have a few Fundamentalists attack me!)  Today let’s look at another thing that causes people to sabotage their success:

The belief that your prosperity comes at the expense of those less fortunate than you.  This is a very real issue for a lot of people, and they don’t even know it.

That’s why you see so many comments like, “You paid $5,000 for a pair of shoes? Do you know how many starving kids in Africa you could feed with that” or “Why would you spend so much on a car?  Don’t you know what a charity could do with that money?”

These types of questions are riddled with lack programming and designed to create guilt.  And they miss the single most important element about prosperity:  Namely that it is infinite.

Anything that is real prosperity is limitless.  Things like hugs, love, sunshine, and understanding are not finite, they are infinite.  The more you give away, the more they spread their good.

Imagine some asks you for a hug and you reply, “Sorry, I only have two hugs left and the weekend is coming up.”

Ridiculous right?

The fascinating thing most people don’t understand is that even money is infinite.  Because money in and of itself is meaningless.  It gets its value when it is traded for other things.  And as long as you create value for the universe it will reward you with money.

So instead of thinking how you can get more money, think how you can create more value and money will not be an issue for you.

Which means you can get those amazing shoes and help out Haiti.  You can buy that ferocious car and help the Make a Wish Foundation.

Charles Fillmore taught that our creator has surrounded us with prosperity.  There is no place on earth that prosperity is not.  (Even in what may appear to be desolate places such as earthquake ravaged Haiti or South Central LA)  Prosperity is in the ethers all around us.  And how we manifest it in the physical realm is through IDEAS.

The only thing between you and more money (which you can then trade for the things you really want) is your next idea that creates value for others.

No one ever has a money problem.  You only have an idea problem.  So you know what to do next!

  1. I've got an idea!

    Let's share ideas with people!

Now, it's more than just sharing some juice, vitamins, soap, or travel. (Don't get me wrong, those are valuable) but how much MORE valuable are ideas!!

Sounds like MLM to me. 😉

  2. RG!

Thanks again for this wonderful post! I have an idea, why not do a post on "What does that broke celebrity or athlete have anything to do with you becoming broke?" I hear people talk about the money problems of celebrities/athletes & they say that they never want to be rich because of so & so. Don't they realize that its consciousness? Probably not.

Keep it up, we need to hear you preach!

  3. Service is the soul of money. Great post today Randy. I remember the days when I was focusing and chasing money without providing service or adding value. Now I understand that money is the effect of the value you bring to the market.

Keep up the good work champion.

  4. Yes I lost track of that "idea" and have now gotten it back. I am so focused on my "ideas" and bringing them into money producing actions so I can buy the things I want and need as well as give to the organizations that I love. I believe that this is the whole concept behind Think and Grow Rich.. the "idea" It will give you what you want and are looking for, find it!

  5. Now just keep in mind the earlier messages. It's not about giving to everyone else before yourself and fostering codependency. Prosperity is simply a value-for value exchange.

  6. Kudos Randy!

Since I'm a die hard advocate of "The Science of Getting Rich", this is exactly what Wally Wattles states in his 100 year old book.

".. in order to receive the riches of the Universe, a person must have a clear mental picture of what he wants and must do, with faith, purpose and gratitude, everything that can be done each day with efficiency.."

So without ideas, you can' get what you want!

  7. Randy,

Could you elaborate on what you mean by value for value exhange?

I am not 100 percent sure about the concept. Some examples would help.

  8. Its just wonderful because all those things-money hugs love...they are the things we shall strengthen in this worl to make the humanity stronger-thank you for being able to "take it to the groundlevel"!!!

  9. Thanks and hugs:)

This is the first thing I read this morning: "Nothing is impossible, the work itself says it "I'm possible"! (Audrey Hepburn). And now I stumble upon your great post. Fantastic, isn't it?

Take care and all the best:)

  10. I've learned more useful things from Randy Gage than all my education combined. Thankyou for being an inspration and an inspirer.

  11. Bro! You are so damn solid!!! I love it!! Thanks for the insight! Gotta start fillin the head with more ideas on prosperity!!!

  12. Can't agree more. Yes, prosperity/abundance is a feeling. Money is energy and is neutral. As long as we continue to transform ideas into services/products, provide value and charge for it, we don't have to worry about earning money. This may seem tough, especially for an employee, but typically and entrepreneur does only that.

  13. You cannot out give the Universe. To all the people who make such lack comments, just know, wealthy folk feed more hungry children than those who make such comments!!

To give is to get. Give abundantly, receive abundantly, live abundantly.

Besides, the guy who makes the $5000 pair of shoes depends on someone to buy them, otherwise, him and his family will surely starve! Pay it forward.....

  14. Randy, the path you are blazing should be a freeway by now. However, the little bit, the mustard seed of 'it' that moves and appears everything and anything your hearts desire is right there, and there and everywhere yet human argues for their limitations all ways and always.

It is no wonder that those who it will have it all and those who have nothing will lose even that.

  15. Take a look at the last 4 or 5 posts, because we've been looking at the principles of this in depth. And I'm sure we'll go deeper in some future ones.

    -RG

  16. So instead of thinking how you can get more money, think how you can create more value and money will not be an issue for you.

How did you change focusing on making money to creating value or providing a service? Can you more deeply into "creating value."
I can see it with Google,HP,Cisco,Apple.
What am I missing with my company?

  17. That must actually mean that sit and wait for things to happen and just adopt other peoples ideas and never create anything newer than the dinner on your table, must be just totally the sinnest sin you can ever do,right?Trust me,I have tried that in a period, and it was too terrible to even talk about. And it is for sure that it didn´t give me any prosperity...but I beleive that is in many peoples minds that very good things can happen to you when you sit and do just nothing, expecting that someone is going to give you a greater life.A richer one. When I have read your words today this "common sense" suddenly became so hell stupid and my face becomes red when I think of being in that state of mind. Were you ever? And how did you come out of it?Can I read about your life more detally somewhere? It would interest me very much!

  18. thats nice article, it does address what question but i cant find the answer for How
I mean i have an idea but the implementation process is missing
    any way nice effort

  19. >>>Anything that is real prosperity is limitless. Things like hugs, love, sunshine, and understanding are not finite, they are infinite. The more you give away, the more they spread their good.
Imagine some asks you for a hug and you reply, “Sorry, I only have two hugs left and the weekend is coming up.” <<<<

This made me giggle and smile. :)) You're right, Randy! Absolutely. I agree. The more hugs and love you give away, the more you receive. No wonder I receive so many hugs and love everywhere.. I guess I would have to give more money away... Amen 😉 -Saachi

  20. RG,

You're the second person to state this today in things I've read. I think I'm being told something!

So the daily question this week is how can I add more value and come up with more ideas to the universe?

    Happy Travels

  21. Hi, Randy!

You're so right, my friend... but still I tend to forget now and then that I ever have a money problem, but an idea problem.

I certainly do know what to do next... thanks for the friendly reminder!

Synchronicity or not, I am currently reading Catherine Ponder's Dynamic Laws of Prosperity, in which she often refers to Charles Fillmore! 🙂

    In success,
    Chantal

  22. When you think about it, the whole economy of the industrialized world is based on helping with problems, wants, or needs. ( Apart from being based on debt and greed ). Another guilty party in Lack thinking is the educational system. For hours each day, year after year, you're forced to sit there and "learn" what they teach. Many teachers couldn't survive in a real job more than 2 weeks and these are the people we entrust our brains to. Its great training to go and work for someone else.

  23. I have to agree with you but I tend to be more pragmatic... If you are in business, you are rewarded with money in return for value. There is no doubt in my mind that this is true... And really, aren't we in business for ourselves all the time? If you work at a job, your business is trading your time for money. You provide value to your employer and they pay you. The more value you can prove you provide, the more your employer may be willing to pay you.

If you are in business, the same holds true. The more value you can prove you can provide to your customer, the more they will pay for your product or service, and the more you will sell. More money.

Excellent article from somebody that doesn't always agree with you.

  24. Great stuff, as usual Randy.

Good timing, too. I'm at the "drawing board"...time for a new idea.

Your perspective is always refreshing. Bold, for sure, but I love that the truth sometimes has to smack people in the face a little.

    Keep up the quality!
    MS

  25. I totally agree with you Randy.
There is no lack of anything in this world as God has created it and provides for us. The only lack that we have is in our thinking, believe, and actions to allow God to reveal the great abundance and prosperity that he has waiting for us in our lives.
    Thanks again.
    Make it a great day!
    God Bless,
    -ed
