That is so true, we get into a habit and here we are, get a job and work for the man.
We’re continuing our series on how you get programmed with negative mind viruses, and then self-sabotage your success, heath, and happiness. Last post I told you that the only way you end self-sabotage and improve your results is to identify the core, foundational, subconscious beliefs you possess that are negative, toxic, and dysfunctional. Then you must eviscerate those beliefs, and replace them with beliefs that are positive, healthy and empowering.
To accomplish this successfully, we need to first identify the source of the mind viruses. There are literally millions of triggers to this pandemic. But they can be categorized into four main buckets that create the vast majority of the damage. (Regular readers will notice the list has grown.) They are:
Let’s focus this post on the first culprit. The education system is seriously flawed worldwide and thus it’s a huge influence on creating limiting beliefs at a very early age for billions of people. (Arguably, pre-school, grade school, and high school are when you are your most malleable, impressionable, and vulnerable.)
When something is based on a bad premise, everything that springs from that premise will be bad. And the education system is based on numerous bad premises. The most egregious of these are:
The primary structural failure of education is that it doesn’t teach the most fundamental skill to creating a prosperous life: the ability for critical thinking. Critical thinking is necessary to employ discernment to process information, analyze problems to create solutions, and most importantly, become a free thinker. The current education system is designed to beat those traits and abilities out of people.
Then by way of collateral damage, the vast majority of the teachers, advisors, professors, coaches, and guidance counselors are unknowingly programed with the mind viruses we mentioned earlier. These well-meaning education professionals reinforce the limiting beliefs you developed at home, throughout your formative years. If you were able to reach adulthood and don't reside in a mental hospital, homeless shelter, or prison – you’ve already achieved a considerable victory.
Next post we’ll explore the dangers presented by government. Until then, please share your thoughts below.
Peace,
- RG
