How to Harness Ideas for Your Prosperity

Posted By: Randy GageJune 27, 2010

Last week I suggested that there is a spiritual substance all around us that can be manifested into prosperity, and that to do this involved raising your consciousness.  The next post I went farther and said you do this through the power of ideas.  Let’s explore this deeper…

Mark thought I must be smoking the good stuff and suggested that my premise was flawed.  He cited the example of medieval people and how they were busy all day simply with survival needs and certainly couldn’t just use positive thinking or raising their consciousness to manifest prosperity.  But is that really true?

Let’s take a look…

I’m writing this aboard a Boeing 757 aircraft stretched out in the First Class cabin, dining on Parmesan-crusted chicken breast and ice cream sundaes with a 30 channel entertainment system.   Now I think we’d all agree, those folks in Medieval times probably weren’t imagining or visualizing they could be travel in this manner.

But the raw materials to make every component of this aircraft were available, even back then.  But no one had that idea, because they needed to have some other ideas first.  Ideas like creating steel, harnessing electricity, man being able to fly, and a host of others.

Those ideas came over a period of centuries as man’s consciousness developed.  But that is the process that took place.

Do you realize in our lifetime, we will likely be able to take a vacation to the moon, buy a condo on the bottom of the ocean with a beautiful coral reef view and transplant (or re-grow) arms and legs?  All through the power of ideas.

Now let’s talk practical application, for someone struggling to manifest prosperity right now.  For example Jay, who came to one of my prosperity classes.  He’s a nurse working at a government hospital.  It’s a civil service position and he’s at the highest pay level, so he told me that ideas won’t work for him; he can’t even get a raise.  So he said that my premise was false.

Then I asked him what was stopping him from going into business for himself, and opening up a home health care service.  And not just any service, but the best one!  One that guaranteed the most comprehensive, pampering home health care available anywhere.

Imagine if you’re Bill Gates, Richard Branson or some other very wealthy individual and you got ill.  Wouldn’t you be willing to pay whatever it took to get the very best healthcare for you or a loved one?

So what was the difference between what Jay said and what I said?  An idea.

So I’ll say it again.  No one has a money shortage.  What they really have is an idea shortage.

  1. Hey now, let's not pick on the medieval folks! They were busy spending every cent ...building cathedrals. It was the highest calling on could have to be called to labor on one, and they took generations to build. Yet another example of church and prosperity at odds.

  2. Re medieval days...

There is no secret. Since the beginning of time certain people found how to access a mysterious power. They discovered things like the earth is round. That the planets revolve around the sun. They invented medicine. We know their names to this day.

I'm working on a book that contains selected thoughts similar to those we read on this blog. They start from when thoughts were first recorded up to present. If I took off the names and the dates you could not tell which were uttered by someone from 2nd century BC and which by a quantum physicist at Harvard yesterday.

We ALL have always had this power to manifest. If one person can do a miracle we can all do a miracle.

  3. It is so true, it is ideas that make the grand changes.

If you could Randy, would you expand on the process of taking ideas and moving into action/fruition? Especially when one needs some creativity in funding to bring an idea into prosperity?

    Thanks!

  4. Randy,

    Spot on!

My favorite example of seeing man’s consciousness developement in action is to look at children.

Give a child a new game for their DSi, Wii or Xbox and within 30 seconds they have it mastered - they instinctively know what to do. No need to read instructions! They are born "cable ready".

For them the idea of taking a vacation to the moon, buying a condo on the bottom of the ocean is very realistic. The human consciousness continues to expand...

  5. Great post, Randy. For every creative idea that we have, the universe also gives us the power to fully realize it.

How sad it is that there are so many people out there who only act upon ideas from the herd like "Screw the president!" or "Revamp the unemployment system so we get more money/benefits/security."

It's a big job to shine light in the darkness, but you and other guides are being heard. I pray that more people listen.

  6. Sometimes when I come up with an idea and don't know HOW to make it real...I ask the Universe for more help. "The Unverse now lines up every person, place and situation that needs to happen for this idea to manifest." Usually its less than 24 hours before I get my first tap on the shoulder:)

  7. So, we have you to thank you to make our ideas grow.... never thought about "writing aboard a Boeing 757 aircraft stretched out in the First Class cabin, dining on Parmesan-crusted chicken breast and ice cream sundaes with a 30 channel entertainment system". So I'll add that to my prosperity ideas list....

  8. I think the ideas need to be in alignment with God's will, our passions and our purpose to manifest true prosperity.

Otherwise do we just manifest part of prosperity? For example If we are in a career where we make a lot of money, but we are not fulfilled, we work 24 *7, stress affects our health and relationships, etc.

It may be a good idea for someone but not for everyone.

    1. " No one has a money shortage. What they really have is an idea shortage."

I am also still thinking that ideas come from our thoughts, beliefs, core values , programs, memes we don't realize we have.

    2. I re-watched your video on the Imaging Law of Prosperity... wondering if you write your movie script, say your affirmations, etc... will you still manifest prosperity if you don't do the work to change your limiting beliefs? will a movie script change your beliefs that don't serve you? and will it change the beliefs that you don't know you have?

    3. I am also thinking the way we think, state our intentions, etc matter in what we manifest.

      I have been using Debra Berndt's mp3s: http://www.hypnodeb.com/

Debra recommends to focus on the end results and not the steps leading up to the end results. I have noticed I usually focus on the steps, the how...and I need to remember the universe will take care of the details.

      She says to:

      * be clear on what you really want.

      * Don't use the word "want" because that is what you keep manifesting "want"

      * be positive: don't use the words "don't", "not", "Won't"
(I used to say /pray for on-calls that were not busy... and they were always busy)

      * state it as if you already have it...in the present tense.
for example: "I am financially free" instead of "I don't want debt"

      * engage your emotions...really feel it

      * let go of expectations

      * accept the gifts coming to you..."if not this, something better"

  9. Ha! Years ago in my twenties I told my brothers that people would be able to regrow arms, legs, and in time third sets of teeth...

So they offered to cut off my arms, legs and punch out my teeth so I could be the first to try....

    Nice ha!

  10. I think there is a big difference between having the guts to unlock your potential by re-imgaining yourself and the metaphysical "Infinite Mind" providing "total abundance, vibrant health, your perfect vocation, and healthy relationships."

... that's what I took exception to with the Medieval example. I reject the notion that Medieval folks (or most of the poor on earth) have access to a metaphysical power to uplift them from their wretched state. I suggested that you already have to be at the top of Maslow's Hierarchy of needs to even think about self-actualization.

Hope you have safe travels. I was on the Costa del Sol a few months ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. Hope you got to see Alhambra. A World Heritage site not to be missed!

  11. Awesome article Randy!
I heard recently on a CD that your excuses should be your "why's."
Why are people so eager to use ancient-stone age- men/women as our present day-information age- examples? Of course they didn't think of a jet. They were thinking of not being eaten by their lunch!
We evolve and having our thinking challenged, as by this blog, necessities, dreads/ dreams, we will find out we have the resources! Resources not only for ourselves, but future generations!

    This is an awesome read!

  12. I like what Sarah has stated above however, the answer does not always come in 24 hrs. In fact, there are times when the answer is a "no" or "wait" but I also know that both are there for a reason. I really enjoy your words Randy. I'm learning to apply them daily.

  13. Randy, why do I keep NOT ACTING on my excellent idea's - fear of success? I cannot figure myself out or why money escapes me. Others around me are so prosperous and I am not. Just talking out loud because I am trying to figure me out.
