How to Stop Being Broke

Happy Freakin’ Friday!

Welcome back to your weekly postcard where I challenge you to reflect on something important for manifesting a healthy, happy, and prosperous life.  Today that topic is why people stay broke.

As you probably know by now, I believe poverty is a sin. Being born poor is not a sin, but to stay poor is.   So, what keeps people broke? Here are 11 reasons:

  1. Getting hooked on easy credit.
  2. Trying to scrimp your way to rich.
  3. Looking for external villains to blame for your lack of success.
  4. Believing you are entitled to success.
  5. Looking for “hacks” to avoid doing the work.
  6. Sacrificing your health, relationships, or principles to chase money.
  7. Trying to hoard your way to prosperity.
  8. Trading time for money.
  9. Worshiping self-destructive dogma and doctrines.
  10. Living your life to please others
  11. Believing that being poor makes you noble, virtuous, or spiritual.

Now if you are seriously serious about breaking the bonds of being broke, set aside some time and read this very long essay, Breaking Out of Being Broke.  (I wrote it almost 15 years ago, but it’s spot on with what’s going on in the world today!)
