Have You Become What You Need to Get Rich?

Posted By: Randy GageApril 16, 2009

My friend Alvin Day likes to say that there are three kinds of dreams:
* Get dreams
* Do dreams
* Be dreams

This is important when people seem to be having trouble manifesting their prosperity.  Someone who had attended my “Sacred Secrets” workshop was struggling with this issue, so I asked him to show me his Prosperity Manifestation Map.

And when I had looked at his prosperity map, I was struck by the fact that it was all stuff he wanted to get.  All “get” dreams.  And that’s a dangerous trap to fall into…

His map had jewelry, clothes, cars, homes, and lots of other stuff he wanted to get.  But nothing that he wanted to do.  And more importantly, nothing that he wanted to BECOME.

And that’s the tricky part.  To get things, you have to first become something.  So how are you doing on that?

  1. Good point Randy - what we become will always determine what we obtain. I attempt to Model Christ - and let those imitations form your world around you... "Modeling The Christ" is a free download at http://is.gd/sn1e

    Thanks

  2. How do you know what to become in order to be this overall prosperous person?

    I get that I have to let go of past challenges that may be holding me back and have to do the uncomfortable things to get ahead. But what else is there that I should be focusing on? What am I missing? And how do I show that on a manifistation map?

    Thanks,
    Luc

  3. If I'm understanding you correctly, it would appear that discovering Purpose is crucial to the 'becoming', correct? Do you have any advice on how to do this if in fact this is what you refer to? For months I have been on the path with the intention of discovering purpose.

    Years ago during the Forum training we had to 'invent who we are as the future'. So my statement was "Who I am is contribution since the greatest gift we can give is that of contribution'. So I wonder if this is my Purpose or if it needs to be even clearer.

    Thanks Randy.. as always, great stuff!

  4. Excellent pointers. I have moved more into who I want to be rather than things that I want. I have a clearer idea of the type of work I want to be doing and the kind of life I want to be living. My recent house move was a wonderful manifestation which has led us to living the kind of life we always dreamed of. Now I am planting seeds for myself to grow into who I truly want to be so that I can be of service to my global family in an even bigger way.

  5. Robert Kiyosaki says it well on his Rich Dad, Poor Dad book! There is a certain order to respect when you want to achieve prosperity: BE, DO, HAVE!

    What most people want is to BE prosperous by HAVING stuff without DOING the work!

    Yet, the secret is BECOMING someone prosperous by DOING stuff that makes you prosperous that will lead you to HAVING a prosperous life.

    Simple syntax, but mind-boggling!

    Peace out Randy.

  6. So love your work Randy. Becoming is about knowing you already are. Being is about allowing, with complete certainty. Just breathing and knowing. The work to be done may be about removing doubt, removing old beliefs that once saved and no longer serve. I find Byron Katie's work v helpful. Love from Oz.

  7. What a great refresher. My map is looking rather 'get' ish too.
    Time for a restructure and a refresh.
    Thanks Randy.

  8. Well Randy I agree with once again.Ithink we should spend the value of prosperity to be prosprous...

  9. 10-11 years ago I was in my high school German class, when teacher gave us a task: if you had 1 million (local currency) and 1 year of free time, what would you do?
    I wrote that I would divide year into four three months period, and spent each in different country, to learn their language and to get to know them. My choices then were: Germany, England, Russia and France.
    I have not lived in all those countries I listed then, and I do not speak French, but…
    By now I’ve lived in four different countries and speak six languages plus I have got to know lot of different cultures… and constantly out of my comfort zone – I have got to know myself...
    I have BECOME myself.
    Funny thing was that I never intended to leave my country, I love it there, maybe that's why it was time to leave...

    Thank you Randy for all your work!

  10. "I must admit when I first read the part about your friend's three kinds of dreams - I wasn't following. But now it is like a light bulb came on over my head. AH HA. I get it. I believe you have to first 'DO' in order to 'BE' and then you can have as many of the 'GETS' as you want.

    Great philosophy, great thought for the weekend. "

  11. Someone said that you have to BE, first. In your mind. Based on this BE, you start to DO. Taking the appropriate action. By DOing things in the state of mind that this individual is in, he will beget results. These results form the HAVE part of the equation.

    But it was qualified - you have to BE, then DO & you'll Have. Isn't that right, Randy?

  12. My husband told me that it was the first time he ever heard me confess to not liking stress and not even knowing how to handle it. This realization is helping me understand that if I want more responsibility, I will need to learn how to master stress.

    Part of the wisdom of God is to be organized in what we do and I am working on being more organized. I guess this would be the change I need to take on. My steps?

    1. keep an early morning waking hour
    2. exercise (go to the gym)
    3. meditate (read spiritual stuff like the bible in the morning to start my days and get me focused.
    3. follow a routine schedule
    4. Stick to this until it hurts (21 days?)

    If this gets me closer to the change I need to see in my life, I have no other choice but to stay disciplined through this time of changing.

    Is this what you mean Randy?
