Thanks Randy! Just ordered it for my Kindle.
You’re probably familiar with Harvey Mackay. He burst onto the business and success scene in 1996 with his book, Swim With The Sharks Without Being Eaten Alive. That became an international bestseller and was followed up by other instant classics such as, Dig Your Well Before You’re Thirsty, and Beware the Naked Man Who Offers You His Shirt.
Harvey called me about a month ago to say that he had a new book coming out, and would I look at a review copy. I did and that book, The Mackay MBA of Selling in the Real World is now out.
I’ve always been a fan of his work, so hate to say it, but Harvey messed up. This book is a dreadful mistake…
The title couldn’t be more wrong. Because it’s not the MBA of selling. It’s way more than that. It’s the MBA of success.
Yes salespeople will gobble this up like me with an In N Out Burger Double-Double with animal sauce! But it also is packed with tips, cartoons, short stories and lessons on networking, attitude, finding mentors, using social media, self-esteem, and the overall psychology of success.
It’s typical Harvey: lively, witty and fast-paced, written in an easy conversational tone. It’s a book about winning, in sales, business and life. And it needs to be in your library now. So run down to your local bookseller, or click on over to Amazon right pronto and grab it. Then stop back and let me know what you think.

Thanks Randy! Just ordered it for my Kindle.
I bought 'Swim with the Sharks without Being Eaten alive' - Outsell Outmanage Outmotivate and outnegotiate your Competition ( cannot remember when) and
in 2001 bought Beware The Naked Man who offers you His Shirt - 'Do what you love, love what you do and deliver more than you promise'
Have only sped read above but will consider your recommendation. Thanks
Ordered. Should be in my Library by the weekend. Thanks for the recommendation.
Yes, Harvey's books are good reading. Just started to read his 'Pushing The Envelope - All the Way To The Top' book bought many many years ago autographed. The content is still very relevant. Amazing. Thanks for the intro to his new book here.
Nice Marketing-hook to make us read-on!
Nice gesture to add it to your BLOG!

I haven't heard of Harvey but I will be sure to check out his latest book and his previous ones as well.
Hi Randy,
Harvey is brillant. I just listened to him in a Success magazine interview. He said' Practice does Not Mean Perfect' which caught my attention just like the title of this post.
Harvey in his classic style explained only practicing the right actions makes perfect. Some people spend their lives practicing a bad golf swing or the wrong approach to relationships and they never get perfect. I have learned a lot in my life that only practicing the right stuff makes perfect.
Thanks Harvey and Thanks Randy for the reminder of Harvey's latest book.
Live great,
David
Thanks RG will do my man!
And enjoy your Animal Sauce.

Ok, odered!
Hope that will help me out of my personal selling crisis!
Hey Randy thanks, I will be sure to add this and his others to my evernote book list.

I loved when Harvey Mackey said
"Every time I meet someone I always think 'What can I do for you?'"
It's all about helping people!
Aloha Randy, interesting post and review. Seem like an oxymoron to me right but then wrong, due to a bit of tweaking. Although, impressive to have him confide in your critiquing of his book.
I continue to enjoy Harvey's inspirational and motivational messages, a natural gift of his. His new book sound like a book to invest in. Glad I came by and thanks for sharing. Mahalo, Lani 🙂
Ps..thanks to social media for the shout out.
Randy,
You are the marketing all star. Love the title! And so glad you liked Harvey's book. We think it's going to help everyone connect to their best work. So glad to see you in action at NSA. Amazing work. See you in person again soon.
