Gratitude

Posted By: Randy GageMay 28, 2012

There has been much said about the benefits of having a grateful attitude.  But the results cannot be overstated.  Everything at its core level is energy – and energy can be attracted or repelled.

Of course an attitude of gratitude attracts that which you love.  But it does something else:  It completely directs you focus…

It moves you from focusing on what you don’t have, to appreciating what you do.  Which attracts yet more good, and accelerates the process.  It changes your consciousness from victim-hood to victory.  And when you change your consciousness – that changes everything!

And speaking of gratitude, here in the United States of America, it is Memorial Day.  That is the day we recognize and honor all of our brave warriors who paid the ultimate price protecting our country.  It is a time of ceremonies, parades, picnics and barbeques.  Please take some time to remember the fallen, and appreciate all those who currently serve, as well as their families.  And if you are driving, please don’t drink.

Happy Memorial Day.  And know I am grateful for each and every one of you!

  1. Hei, Randy. Liked what you said about appreciation of what we do have. I like you're blog and all that you are writing about prosperity. After reading this post, I was a bit confused.   You talk about changing consciousness and all of these things, and then you wright about these brave soldiers and how are they defending you're country. Everyone knows that this is total bull..it and that nobody is protecting USA, it is USA who is provoking conflicts around the world. Secret agendas makes everyone believe that USA is the "good guys", who comes to save the planet from terrorists. They kill Innocent children and do many bad things there, which would never be seen in news. So really? Is there any honor in that? Those soldiers are just a part of the system, and they consciousnesses belongs to this system- not to them, or any other patriotic american. So are you just playing like you don't know, or your consciousnesses too belongs to this horrible system?  I  can't see any freedom in that.

    1.  @Vitalijs Cugulskis  I did feel that President Bush was nation building around the world.  But that doesn't diminish the courage and valor of the soldiers serving America today.  - RG

  5. This post reminds me of Lance Corporal Tyler Troyer, a US Marine who was killed in Iraq protecting an Iraqi village. I remember seeing a picture of LCpl Troyer protecting an Iraqi boy in a combat zone.
I know we are not soldiers, but most of the people who constantly visit this site are warriors of prosperity, in every sense of the word.. My deepest gratitude for this blog and all the people who add value to it. Blessings to all

  8. Attitude of gratitude is a magic potion when it comes to people and situations you can't control. Focusing on what you got out of that person/situation eases the pain, scoops you away from negative zone, and, actually will make you feel better. Try it when someone close to you has angered/irritated you. I try to thank when I am mostly feeling proper pi***d with someone. Thanking forces you to find 'good' in a bad situation. It works! Every time.

  10. Randy, I don't buy this 'protecting our country' bullshit. Soldiers give up their lives to fight for a cause they usually don't understand, typically with a romanticised view of what war is really about. They go to fight a war overseas that has nothing to do with protecting their country and perhaps a lot more to do with protecting their foreign oil supply, the USD (or insert other reason). We have ANZAC Day in Australia, which is our equivalent. Our soldiers went overseas as well. They weren't defending our country from invaders. Your Czech history might be worth reviewing, which has been relatively peaceful over a long period of time. My understanding is that they have never invaded another country.

He also told me that they have never invaded another country. This to me is a far better example to honour.

  13. Thanks for this post Randy.  it's been said that the only assurance for abundance is gratitude.  Amazing how many people don't do a daily or weekly gratitude list.  Most people could turn their situation around if they would focus their energies on the things they do have.
