Getting a Fresh Start

Posted By: Randy GageOctober 1, 2010

Every thing that ends – whether it is a job, relationship, or project – is an opportunity to make a fresh start.  When you realize and embrace this, you approach each new endeavor with a positive transformation.

Self-doubt turns to self-confidence.  Uncertainty becomes knowing.  Sorrow morphs into gladness.  We are constantly moving forward, and as such, that means many doors will close along the way, as we approach new ones.

So approach each fresh start that you are facing in your life right now with faith-filled expectations of the highest good.  And that is exactly what will happen!

  1. An excellent way to shift perspective.

As a trader, I would add: every TRADE that ends is an opportunity to make a fresh start.

Trading is a metaphor for life. In the market, you don't want to let a losing trade in the past beat you more than once. Obviously, the same can be said about just about anything that happens in life.

  2. I love that. Faith filled expectations for higher good. I once read a saying, "you are either growing or you are dying." I think we all require a little pruning from time to time in order for us to grow stronger and fuller and to develop into whatever our mind is focused on. I have learned to pay close attention to my thoughts. There is no doubt in my mind that thoughts become things.

    1. So true, it's a choice and it is our choice!

But so many are happier to not make the choice and stay with the known than make the choice and experience the potential for growth!!

I find there are aspects of my life I want to keep the same and others I do want to change. Is that ok?

  3. This is SO true Randy. Glad you bring it up!

It's akin to the old, "As one door closes a new one opens up". As we change the way we think and believe, we usher in a new Life. One that's filled with Abundance, Joy, Love, Purpose, Passion and Growth!

As you always say, "Let Go and Let God".

    Thanks Randy!

  4. Listen everyone! What Randy stated here is true! I am speaking from experience. In December of 2007 I was diagnosed with severe idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy.
Since then, I have gone through ER 8 times and been hospitalized a total of 30 days combined. I have kept memes galore that exist in medicine away from me and continued to be the CEO of my own health management (Working as a team with a chosen health board of directors; Life is a team sport). This has been a great opportunity for positive transformation. Many gates have closed along the way but so many more have opened. I ain't telling you this to impress you but because it impresses me how I continue to thrive despite this so called terminal illness.

    1. Absolutely amazing but because of your faith, I think these miracles occur. Miracles are just shifts in your perceptions/perspectives as the Course in Miracle teaches!

  5. I am in the situation of a new start as we speak. Just yesterday my company was taken over by a competitor. The last day under old ownership and the first day under new ownership have been challenging, but I have been reminding myself of exactly what you have suggested Randy. Our company wasn't doing very well and this (former) competitor is much larger and much more successful. I had a chat to the new General Manager about this yesterday. When he asked how I was feeling I said that I was doing really good but that I realised that some of the changes may make me uncomfortable in the short term but they were for the best and that I was excited about what was ahead. To top if off, they indicated to me last week that they would like me to come and take on a more challenging position at head office. Indeed new doors are opening!

  6. Hi Randy'

While I agree completely with your message it does not always come as easily as it may sound.

Speaking for myself, and having undergone major life changes I know that it's a process that has to be ingrained in the consciousness.

I have no doubt that new doors open but while stepping through the one that closed behind a certain shift occurs a shift that takes work and commitment to see ourselves and take full responsibility for what we have created in our life.

It's a letting go of the old, and awakening to the new, healing old wounds and stepping into a role of being healthy body , mind, and spirit.

    With Gratitude
