Five Questions

Posted By: Randy GageOctober 22, 2010

Here are five questions for you.  Questions to really do some critical thinking about:

1)    Have you really forgiven yourself for everything you need to?
2)    What is the one thing that you dreamed about doing as a kid…that you let slide away from your consciousness?
3)    If they wrote your biography, what would the title be?
4)    What’s the project or thing you have been procrastinating on that you are going to start today?
5)    Who is the person you will call or write today and let them know how much they have meant to you?

If you’ve really got guts…and want some encouragement, post your answers below.

I watched the video on forgiveness again, and realized, that to forgive yourself, it is not enough to tell yourself that. There is a doingness! You have to do something to reach that point. For me it works writing it down and make a space of my own untill I feel it disappear (meditating/praying). It's quite a proces. New things pop up to forgive, I was not aware of, so lots to do. But it works - got new ideas how to expand my business 🙂

  51. 1. I choose daily not to wallow. Guilt, blame, ill feelings about myself or others get me no where. I know from experience. Now, I try to be grateful for the journey and do what I say I'm going to.
    2. I learned to play guitar when I was 29 to actualize this dream. I've been too busy to sit and practice lately.

    5. I'm giving some love today to each of the girls who showed up and supported me just yesterday. Their support means everything.

  55. 1.) I have trouble forgiving myself for not living life to the fullest, for not finding love, joy and happiness in my life, and for not finding the connectedness we all need. These thoughts keep me up at night and have for years. I'm 42 now, childless and not married. I gave my 20s and 30s to depression. That wasted time haunts me.

2.) It's odd but as a child I never had a true dream profession but I remember wanting to be a fighter pilot. That sounded great to me throughout my childhood. Still does.

3.) "He Wasted His Life." Maybe, "He Squandered His Gifts"

4.) Overcoming financial challenges and starting my Usana business. To finally act with resolve and consistency, to learn and to grow as I achieve my goals. I have moments of real wisdom and clarity, but analysis paralysis has defined me.

5.) I've been good at telling loved ones how important they are to me. Ingratitude to loved ones isn't among my faults. My way of satisfying this is to remember the good times that I had with my parents. They've been gone for 20 years now and I have trouble remembering the happy moments.

    1. You havent wasted your life Dave, forgive yourself, you are only 42! Please God you have many years ahead of you : ) Every minute you are creating your reality with your thoughts..... create a wonderful 'rest of your life' for yourself - you deserve it X

    2. Being famous for "good" reasons (it's in the works!)

    3. "And Now For Something Completely Different"

    4. Finish my next book. It has taken a backseat to some other projects lately that quite frankly, aren't as important!

    5. I'm going to talk to Craig, in person. But you should know, Mr. Gage, that you have been incredibly inspiring in my life, and you have caused me to think things through in a more meaningful way.

The thing I dreamed about as a kid, I have had done...becoming a true horseperson, and having an left-brained alpha mare pick me as her person.
As I write this I'm realizing that I never DREAMED as a KID about becoming an artist (that's a new revelation, probably why I never in fact did become a working artist) but I think I'd like to teach art to adults. (That was probably one of the most revealing, surprising and very necessary realizations I'll ever have.)

    49. Dear Randy Gage!
      Lene

    55. 1.) I have trouble forgiving myself for not living life to the fullest, for not finding love, joy and happiness in my life, and for not finding the connectedness we all need.

      2) I don't remember dreaming about any one specific thing as a kid. I wasn't one of those kids that said "one day I want to be a fireman/astronaut" etc. As an adult I always thought I'd be a business owner, but so far that hasn't happened.
      3) Organised for Life
      4) I've been procrastinating about sending in some documentary evidence for my diploma.
      5) A really special friend. I e-mailed him yesterday to thank him for helping me out on Saturday.

    57. GREAT questions!

      1. If I'm totally honest, probably not...although I have made this a conscious decision to do so.

      2. Being famous for "good" reasons (it's in the works!)

      4. Finish my next book. It has taken a backseat to some other projects lately that quite frankly, aren't as important!

      2.

      B) HAVE AN INTELLECTUAL JOB...I also liked to sit down, write, analyse, do my homework. Nowadays, I have found my perfect work activity as an investor involving reading, analysing and discover myself and I am passionate about it and I everyday want to learn more about the market.

      C) DO SPECIAL ACTIVITIES WITH MY FAMILY...I also always loved spending time with my family, especially travelling and discovering new hip places. I continue to do it and all family does a big trip every year. It is a fantastic bonding activity and that creates special memories for parents and children.
