Do You Have the Midas Touch?

Posted By: Randy GageApril 6, 2011

I like to joke with audiences that I have the Midas touch, because everything I touch turns to gold, platinum or Prada.  And it’s only half in jest.  Because things just seem to work out for the best.  Now it wasn’t always that way of course.  There were 30 years when I snatched defeat from the jaws of victory at every opportunity...

What changed?

My mindset.  When I developed prosperity consciousness, everything changed for me.  As it can for you.  Once you create the right mindset, you attract the people, circumstances, and opportunities you need for abundance and prosperity.  You literally change the way you think.

Remember that poor people think differently than wealthy people, sick people think differently than healthy people, and depressed people think differently than happy people.  Really.

We think our bodies and circumstances control our thoughts, but it's exactly the opposite.  You must guard and direct your thoughts, because what you are in your thoughts today determines who you will become.

You don’t create your future. You create your daily habits and they create your future.  And nothing will determine those habits more than the thoughts you give precedence to.

You must guard the entrance to your mind from lack and limiting thoughts, and instead direct it with thoughts of love and abundance.  Then when they ripen, you harvest a life of harmony, health and happiness.

Here’s the process for success:  Plant in your subconscious mind. Water with repetition and emotion. Harvest.

If you want some help on this, spend the next month doing my Midas Mentality program. It’s 30 days of lessons to help you actually reprogram your subconscious mind and change the way you think.  People have had amazing results with it.  You can too.  Get the details here: https://randygage.com/store/the-midas-mentality/

Then please check back and share your success stories!  By the way, I’m writing this from my old stomping grounds in San Jose, Costa Rica.  That’s where the pic is from.  That's a shot of the volcano Arenal.  Next stop, Detroit.

  1. Yes, it is the habits that count in the end, given that we operate according to our programming.

I have just proven to myself that re-programming is possible and the return in value can be immeasurable.

Right now, I have installed a habit of regular exercise and not only do I feel better these days than those days, I know that I will never know how many more years I will live than if I had not done this nor how much more quality of life in health I have now and for the rest of my years!

To paraphrase what I have heard you say before, "We will never truly know how much more we've gained. Some of the best stories may never be told."

I appreciate the friendship, Mr Gage!

  2. Hi, Randy,

San Jose Costa Rica to Detroit! That should be an interesting study in contrasts!

Thanks for a great summary of "Midas Thinking."

    Excellent reminders.

BTW--I have used your Midas Mentality course to great effect. Simply put--it really works!

    Thanks,

  3. I love it. What you wrote here could've taken 160 pages to explain, but you did it in 1 page - so concise, powerful like an arrow with piercing accuracy. You're the best Randy!! I'm forwarding on and on and on.

  4. I think the most amazing thing about this discovery is that we can literally be anything we choose - just by re-programming the way we think!

I LOVE KNOWING that the possibilities are only as limited as my thinking!!!!!

    XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOOOOOO!!!!

    1. We're all alchemists, and our thoughts are the spells that transforms the surrounding energy into material manifestation. 🙂

      1. ...not sure why my profile didn't show, that was me. Anyway, adding to your concise thoughts KH. You're RIGHT! 🙂

  5. Wow - this is stated so eloquently. Randy and all the readers, don't keep this to yourself...teach it to ALL the children! They need to learn when they are young so they can realize their true potential before they get sucked into the world of negative affirmations and self image! I'm starting on my kids, NOW! Thank you - :0)

  6. This hasn't anything to do with the topic. It is your Birthday present. Please don't put me in a can of spam, I can't think of anything worse! 🙂

It is for you, and Jamie too.

    For your Bithday Big Guy,
Which is a good name and you know why,
Sometimes I am calling you a bad name,:(
But, no, not today it won't be the same,
Today Jamie requested I say something sweet,
So, I will count all the ways I think you're neat,

    Thinking.....
    Thinking.....
    Give me a minute....
    Oh yes here we go...

You teach others to be positive and healthy,
You want the whole world to really be wealthy!,
You inspire us all to feel loveable and worthy,
So, on Thanksgiving day, you may carve the turthy, (I don't know)
Your smile is friendly you are fair and just,
You know good manners and hygiene is surely a must!,
You have great taste in movies, music and books,
Your'e smart and funny, so we don't mind your looks,:)
Despite your age you're really a hipster,
And, if I meet you in person, I will call you mister,
Most everyone here loves you, you see?,
Even critics, doubters, and lovelies like me!

Happy Birthday to a special Big Guy,(that's you Randy):)

    1. Annie! Wow

I bet you feel proud of yourself - it's a post that lights up the day, with humour, sweetness, and affirmation.

      AWESOME ANNIE!!!!

You must truly feel great having written this, eh?

      Well done! xoxox WOW!

  7. Randy- you write, "because things just seem to work out for the best." Having that mind set is the key. And things always do work out for the best, regardless of our opinion about it. Like everyone else, I've had "bad" things happen in my life but the growth and strength of character and resilency I've developed because of it, it was definitely "for the best." The big myth propogated in personal development is that your life can become all wonderful and rosey. Yes, it does get better but more importantly, we view and deal deal with the challenges that come in a much different way. Yes, it's all for the best.

  8. That is a magnificent photo. Thanks for sharing it. Truth and the midas touch go hand in hand. I'm reading a book called the butterfly effect by Andy Andrews. All of our daily thoughts do determine our outcome. If we live in truth which I interpret as spiritual, by living by devine sight, then we create a ripple effect that goes out to every corner of the universe and affect everything living thing. I'm realizing that my life is transforming me into a butterfly, it that makes sense to anyone. It is the most profound experience I have ever had and I only wish I could bottle it and send it out to everyone.

  9. Annie,

    BRAVO!!!:):):)

You are a poet!!! And a great one!!!

    Love it!!!

Thank you! You are trully an extraordinary person!....And guess what....I always knew it:):):)

    Victoria 🙂

  10. Hey Randy Detroit can use your prosperity message for sure! Won't be hard to top Charlie Sheen!! Go to Greek town after if ya got the time, great food and atmosphere!

  11. I added this 1 January. I read it daily. Whenever something doesn't work out the way I think it should or thought it would, instead of thinking that something went wrong or is wrong, I see it as something that went unexpectedly well, but for reasons that are not yet apparent.

I am amazed what a difference it makes in where I look for the silver lining. Thank you Randy for giving me a place to share.

  12. Randy-

This is off topic, however, I wanted to provide some feedback. Over the weekend I placed my 3rd order with you. Each time I have been amazed at how quickly I get what I ordered. This is much appreciated- great job. And the Power Prosperity program is fabulous!
