Developing Your Prosperity Mind

Posted By: Randy GageAugust 18, 2009

Ok I admit it.  I have a charmed life.  Everything I touch turns to gold. Or platinum.  Or Prada.   I’m healthy, happy, and successful.  My worst nightmare day is a lot of people’s dream come true.

Now it wasn’t always this way...

For more than 30 years, my life sucked. I was sick, broke, and miserable.  Everything I touched turned to shit.  If anyone could snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, that would have been me.

So what changed?

The single most important thing – more important that anything else I have ever learned was this: I came to the belief that I was responsible for everything that happened in my life, both the good, and the unspeakable horrible.

Which was a very frightening thought indeed...

Because it meant I could not blame my dysfunctional relationships on the other person anymore, I couldn’t blame all my business failures on crooked partners or the economy, and I couldn’t fault my poor health and other tragedies on God, destiny, or circumstance.

And while that was quite a frightening thought at first...it became the idea that set me free.

Because if all that was true about those bad things, then logic dictated that it must be true for the good things. Which meant I could manifest becoming happy, getting healthy and manifesting wealth.  This was the defining breakthrough in my journey of self-development, because it took me out of the mindset that I was a victim of circumstance, and created the mindset that I could control my own destiny.

So how are you doing on this?

Do you realize that you can manifest all the good things and live a life of health, happiness and prosperity?  Or do you think successful people are lucky and you have special circumstances that are holding you back?

Check in below and we’ll continue the discussion on the next post.

  1. Well I agree, I attracted you and your philosophy into my life. Thank you for the reminder of accountability, occasionally I try to forget and sink into the victim position, which I call "Anal Cranial Inversion"
When you buy those $10,000 shirts I will celebrate just as if I had bought them, ciao Geoffrey

  2. Once again, a great post! I've started changing my life by changing my mind and attitude. It's a work in progress, but it's working! Loving life!

  3. Hello Randy!
I am fully responsible for what I have recieved in my life. I have my own choíces - act or react.
It´s quiet liberating to know that the destiny is in my hand by my choices.
And most important - there is no right or wrong only works - didn´t worked.
    Hope you are recovering!

    Best Wishes Alf.

  4. I generally believe this about personal responsibility, and I acknowledge that we all make it up anyway, but I'm not sure if I can take it to where it actually goes...

If I'm responsible for EVERYTHING in my life, then Tsunamis, 9-11s, wars, diseases, murders here and abroad, are ALL manifested by me.

Lately I'm of the mind that we ALL collectively manifest everything, with specifics being attracted.. not sure.

I think to say "EVERYTHING" is an over-simplification, and I usually hear people who say they manifest EVERYTHING have exceptions.

    What do you think?

  5. Hi Randy;

It took me a long time as well to come to that point where you see that each one of us is responsible for what is in our life.

It has been life alterning because as you point out, there is no one else to blame nor are we the victims. I also found it to be empowering in a sense, and very liberating.

There is no longer judgement of others, just looking at what my own responsibility has been that created what ever circumstance is presently there.

As Dr. Wayne Dyer mentions in his new book there is no longer any excuses for what you feel is not there or missing or can't do or cant' be.

    Thanks for sharing this.

  6. I love to see how this works out. I'm an actress breaking into showbusiness..especially in this business they say it all depends on 'luck and circumstances and how hard it is to get a spot bla bla'.
    Maybe the ultimate lesson then?

  7. Also- I assume you read Malcolm Gladwell's newest book (name escapes me at the moment), where he kinda says that not "EVERYTHING" is under your control.

For example... did you manifest baldness? 🙂

  8. It was really hard for me to understand concept for a really long time. My husband has always been a believe of this and when he started introducing different authors such as Catherine Ponder, Randy Gage 🙂 and many others. I have seen results. Your mind is a powerful things. Use it wisely! Thanks for another great message!

  9. I figured it out last year at this time. I praise you Randy for starting me on the quest and leading me straight to Catherine Ponder. Between changing my thoughts and words, deciding I no longer wanted to be a victim and tithing, I went from owning a house in forclosure (yes it was actually sold at auction!!) to selling the house (the judge threw the sale out in court) and walking away with a check to start a new life!!! My realtor and attorney were baffled that I came across such "good luck".

Just 7 months later, my life is a complete turn around. I live in a beautiful condo, own a new car and am honoring my calling in life. I am so grateful for the gift. I live in "the Vortex" most every day now. I can never thank you enough, Randy!

  10. Dear Randy:
You are absolutely right, and I agree. Its a truth that we need to remind ourselves off everyday. Keep telling it the way it is.
