Decision

Posted By: Randy GageJune 23, 2011

To manifest prosperity and influence, one of the important qualities to possess is self-reliance.  And one of the keys to that is decision.

The ability to make a decision makes you strong.  The person who wavers is weak and susceptible to almost any outside force.  If you want a speaking part in the production of life, you have to have the resolve to make decisions.  Whatever you may doubt, you must never doubt your power to act.

So how you doing on that?

  1. It's tells loads about self-esteem side of things. I have been told that successful people make decisions quickly and change them slowly. While those not so successful make slow decisions and tent to change them often.

I like to make decisions, well-thought of of course, and back myself. Gives a great boost to my self -esteem.

    Thanks RG

    1. Great point as it is harder to be decisive if you have low self-esteem. For anyone who struggles with decision making, self-esteem is the place to start.

  2. Great article Randy! I just made some good decisions to expand my business, and got a good businesspartner to day. We had a meeting, and he loved my ideas. I'm the idea person and he is very good at manifesting them, and also have the finanses to do so. I'm really exited about this! And now it really seems possible to actually arrive at the event in Amsterdam. Got a ticket from Larissa. She lives in Amsterdam, and I'm staying at her place. Look very much forward to take part in this event and to meet you :)))

  3. This is a great reminder. I also find if we truly listen to our Higher Self, we are guided. When we ignore 'the voice', we have to be accountable for the outcome.

I have always found that the FIRST thought that comes to mind around making a decision is the best one, and that's usually because it's Spirit communicating with me. So I simply ask and listen for guidance in all situations and make my decisions based upon this.

    Thanks Randy.

  4. Great topic. Our society here in America teaches us to be awful decision makers with the constant "shop and compare," "do your your research," and "think it over." Successful people make decisions and make them NOW. They are not afraid of making a wrong decision beacause they can decide again to course correct as new data presents itself. Decision making is a skill and can be practiced and learned. Be decisive!

  5. Great post! Thanks for bringing this up. Decision making is key to achieving success. The ability to make decisions will always lead us to ACTION and CHANGE.

  6. Every day whe have to make many decisions, we have to trust in ourselves, no matter if we make mistakes, because always there is some learning.

    Thanks for the post :),

  7. There's a great Dylan song called Trust Yourself... Google the lyrics as he nails in about 3 or 4 verses of why you should follow your own path and trust yourself...

  8. There is a good phrase in russia. If you are not sure, don't run ahead... It's about drivers, of course...))) and what's about making a decision? If you can't do it, don't do it at all! Let other people make them instead of you.

  9. i KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE TO AGONIZE OVER MAKING DECISIONS. I HATE IT AND HAVE BEEN WORKING ON THIS PROBLEM FOR A LONG TIME..I'M GETTING BETTER BUT AT TIMES IT COMES BACK.

  10. You are free to decide and do! I have always struggled with giving myself permission to take action. When I trust my own power, I can make decisions. I wrote a blog about it today! Synchronicity!

  11. OK! It is true! It is correct to think that the fear of failure may be the reason for delaying decision-making?
    Thanks. Gabe

  12. One of the decisions I am thrilled I took is signing up to this blog.

"Everything is something you decide to do, and there is nothing you have to do."
    Denis Waitley

    and

"Mister, the only thing I have to do is die."
    Ayn Rand

    Everything else we choose.

  13. I would say some people can do it from their birth, some not. And those who can not do that, have to train that quality (as it was mentioned in previous post)... And successful people we see as people who can make desicions. Who are confident in what they are doing. And i think its also tightly connected with your purposes and aims: when you know what to do and where to go, desicion taking will be not a question for you anymore.
