Cosmic Weight Lifting

Posted By: Randy GageDecember 21, 2010

In the last post we talked about the gift of grace. Grace is the gift we receive from Infinite Intelligence that allows us to make mistakes and still not lose our innate worthiness.  But as we said yesterday, sometimes we do things we need to stop and make amends for.

But that doesn’t mean you’re not worthy…

It just means you’re human, made some mistakes, and have an opportunity to learn and grow from them.  Instead of punishing yourself and sabotaging your prosperity, you have an opportunity to make them right.  Think of the human experience as cosmic weight lifting.

We have to do reps.  And when we get to muscle fatigue, it breaks down, but heals and regenerates stronger the next time.   The challenges you face are not meant to stop you.  They’re simply the stepping stones that help you build character, discipline, and experience.  They help you build your consciousness muscles, growing stronger each time.

So grab a workout partner and head to the cosmic gym!

  1. Thanks Randy,
    Again and Again!
What book would you recommend to someone starting this journey,,, I have been asked by a friend any help??

  2. And still I wonder if you have a Christmas tree. Just plain curiosity. While you are doing all that cosmic weight lifting, do you find time to decorate a tree? It is a simple question really. Also, I wonder where does one find real Christmas trees in Florida? Or do you decorate palm trees?

      1. Oh, I see. Where do you put your presents? Or do you tell your friends and relatives if they want something, they should manifest it for themselves.(I am joking okay. Don't answer any of that.)

  3. Thanks, again Randy.

I'd be interested in a post or rant where you dissect the relationship between the ideas of:

    1. "letting it be easy"/not creating trials to perpetuate your victimhood hero's journey/accepting abundance, guidance, strength, and prosperity

    vs.

    2. trials make you stronger/embrace the challenge/cosmic weight lifting

    ....

Just listed all those to grasp the essence of the two paradoxical ideas- not specifically those things.

I've found incredible reservoirs of power by embracing the first,

(and in fact, much of my experience of the 2nd has had the effect of increasing my focus on the 1st)

and want more of it, but am trying to develop a congruent philosophy on where the two meet.

    ....

Thanks for your consistent posting, presence, and challenges.

    I also enjoy your

and personally have no interest at all in MLM. I love the mindset nuggets that apply in all areas.

Definitely worth a look by your other subscribers in my opinion.

    1. Good one.
I feel you get to a stage where you have enough of tough trials to get the message and instead decide to choose the more graceful, effortless and easier way of manifesting the lessons.

  4. What a nice phrase Volker, "Just do it". And so simple.

I don't remember where I saw this equation for success:

    Success = Failure + Learning

  5. It took me a while to get this but it's worth working towards. The reward for me has been life changing. I no longer look at anything I have done or might do as a heavy chain around my neck that pulls my head down in lack of confidence, energy, prosperity and on and on. I am now able to, lift, more weight in the every day life dept. I look at everything I do and everyone I encounter as an opportunity to grow and manifest good. It is so rewarding when you overcome a situation or challenge in a positive expectant way, knowing with total faith that outcome will all be good, no matter what the challenge or lesson might be. It's not always about us. The real reward is when you have the strength to help someone else up because you have become so strong.

  6. I have to confer. Personal growth doesn't always feel good in the moment, but oh, the rewards each time you transcend a difficult growth spurt! 🙂

And yes, it's been my experience that repetition does help to expand one's ability to view things that once might have seemed like the end of the world and a good reason to throw in the towel into the perspective of - 'This kick in the butt I'm getting right now is probably gonna be so damn good for me ... next week!' 😉

I don't know about anyone else, but some of the best "personal growth" presents I've received have come in the shi**iest wrapping paper! You've just got to embrace them though, because once you've unwrapped 'em, taken a good look, cleaned up the mess and let both yourself and the other guy off the hook, you find out it's not only about what you can emotionally endure, but about how much you can spiritually mature.

    1. As I said before Kimbralee, you are wise beyond your years. " To whom much is given, much is expected". I'm sure you are up for the journey. Merry Christmas

      1. Mary-Ellen,

How sweet you are. I LOVE YOU for continually affirming my respective ‘youth’! (Even if my hairstylist knows different! We'll keep that just between us!) 😉

And, as for wisdom, LIFE is a gracious and generous teacher!

Thank you for your kind words, really. 🙂

Bless You and Happiest Holidays to You too!
