Christmas Contest Winners

Posted By: Randy GageDecember 26, 2011

Wow, you guys did it again.  Another bumper crop of submissions for the Night Before Christmas 2011 contest.  You can see all the submissions here.

I promised to pick one talented poet and award him or her a complete 12 DVD set of my Conquering Lack and Living Rich series.  And man did you guys make it hard!  Some absolutely delicious submissions again.

As usual I scored points to entries that played off the original poem, used creativity, showcased a positive spin, and demonstrated the author was familiar with the discussions in the community here.

And the winner is…

Too hard to choose.  Way too hard.  The very least I could narrow it down to was ten entries.  So I’m sending a set to all ten.

And the top ten were – in no particular order….

Dawn Aronoff

Bill Guertin

Joe Hefferon

Angela M.C. D’Alton

Jim Barber

Amber Housey

Rob Martin

Charles

Rene Williams

Southernsweetie

Thanks for playing all out.  You’ll love these programs and they’ll help you make 2012 your best year ever.   Please email Chad at chad@primeconcepts.com or call +1 (305) 791-6880 to claim your set.  And thank you to everyone who submitted an entry and made the judging so difficult.  It was a lot of fun and the entries offered a lot of great lessons on prosperity.  Get ready for next year!

  1. Hey Randy

Thanks for the CD's, Great news. I had a lot of fun putting it all together. i just loaded my novel, The Sixth Session, on Amazon Kindle. It will be available on Dec 27th. It's only 99 cents!!. Can't beat the price.
I had a blast reading the other entries. Let's all have a prosperous 2012.

  2. Wow! There were some terrific submissions this year! Congratulations to all the talented winners!

Randy, thanks for the DVD set! I intend to make 2012 an EPIC (love that word!) year, and "Conquering Lack & Living Rich" will be a key component. Thank you SO much!

It's a couple of days early, but Happy New Year everybody!

  3. Congratulations to the winners! Those were really nice poems.

Randy, you suck. My poem was good. You know I will never adhere to your conservative views. I hope I made you laugh. That was my goal. Can you laugh at yourself?

I thought you were gonna show some moxie this year, and at least give me some kudos for my talent.

It's wasted, my talent is wasted on you. I want you to appreciat me. I want a prize. I want a picture of those lit up palm trees. I want to think I made you laugh.

You have broken my wee little heart. I was thinking earlier, looking at that white suit of yours, that I wouldn't throw a saucy meatball at it, I would throw milk or cottage cheese, or sour cream, and I...I...I just don't know now...

I am still glad I wrote my poem. I am a good writer with or without your approval. I like your approval. I guess out of fairness I don't give you much of mine.

So, here goes... I think you are fabulous poet. And, I still think you suck. (for today);)

  4. PS I really feel sad for you. You are NOT prosperous yet. I hope you get there. Ayn Rand is wrong it is not self interest that will make you happy and prosperous, it is self love.

SELF LOVE. Not doing what is right for you others be damned. There is a time for that message Randy, and sometimes self-interest is important.

SELF LOVE. Takes you to a different plane. It takes you to the realization that willing sacrafice for others is in our self-interest. That love of any kind requires sacrafice.

Insecurity will ruin you. You will forever be seeking the perfect suit, the perfect shoe, what the hell ever. You will always need followers that make you feel good about yourself, because deep down you think your muck.

You know what happens when deep down you think your muck. You churn out muck. If you want intellectual respect you have to earn it.

Give yourself a gift this year Randy. Do something EPIC. Go to college... Take a few classes. IF for nothing else to know what your talking about when you trash education. I double dog dare you. I am sure you will be one of the top in your class.

Take some philosophy, psychology, and for God sakes some political science courses...

That would be EPIC and so cool if you did that.

    1. Annie, please take a breath next time before you post something like this. It really doesn't serve you. Remember this blog is not here to help solve your unmet needs for attention. It's just a sharing community where people can bounce around ideas about prosperity and success. If you approach it that way, you'll get a lot more out of your time here.

Actually I took a number of classes at Miami Dade College, including psychology, political science, both accelerated French & Spanish, and humanities. And yes, I was in the top of those classes.

      1. Well Randy, you should take your own advice. Does your post really serve you?

So you have education beyond high school? Any other things you intentionally leave out of your bio.

You go on about how poor you only had a high school education and youv'e been shot and blah, blah, blah, blah.....

Then you have the audacity to tell people they don't need college. I find that sick. I hate things you do sometimes. I really do.

I am glad you went to school. But, I still feel sorry for you.

This blog is here for your unmet needs. I never fail to see that.

It is sick that I want your approval and attention. I will work on that.

I really did want you to like my poem. I didn't want to win. I just wanted you to like it.

My poem deserved attention. So did the one I wrote last year.

        1. Annie,
          I agree with Kathleen..

Might be a good look in the mirror and ask yourself why the prickly words? To whom is really mad?

I do not see that is Randy would massage his ego here... I feel a true desire to help people ... He went through the way by which he shared and his sincere desire probably is peace and all that follows from it (happy people who show their true potential and thereby contribute to the transformation of the world). So I perceive.

So what to concentrate on yourselve? Live and let live... Love and let love... We are all the humans... We are growing... making mistakes... sharing our stories... But we all living... So why to judge? So do it better, if you don´t like...

        2. Annie, something to think about.

If you have the "self love" you're talking about... why would you need approval from others?

You may want to take a good hard look at YOU and figure out why you responded the way you did.

  5. Hey Randy

    Congratulations to the winners
and consolation to those who tried and made all what they could for to win,but didn't.
This competition was kind of a game.
My advice to everyone who lost in this game,
don't take this loss so hard, take it easy and not in personaly. There will be much more
oppotunities in life to compete and win.
About "selfe love",almost everyone love himselfe. The one who doesn't love himself, can not love or feel any positive feeling to anyone or anything else.
