We all face challenges. Usually when we least expect them or want them. How many time have we heard someone talk about what a horrible time it was for their loved one to die, to lose a job, or have an accident?
But when exactly is a good time to have someone die, lose your job, or get into a crash?
There isn’t any. Challenges come because they help us to develop character. They help us develop the strength, skills and perspective we need – to become who we want to be. And they give us courage. Courage causes us to make certain choices, which take us further on the path of development.
Don’t get me wrong. I don’t enjoy these things any more than you do. But I accept them and celebrate where they are taking me. They are the stepping-stones that take us closer to where we want to be, and who we want to become.

Thank you, Randy. You have no idea how your words have helped me this day. It was exactly what I needed to hear to help me get by in a positive way.
not sure who wrote it but, the follow quote really ties into your blog post:
"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about dancing in the rain."
So true! I know there have been times that I have questioned why now or why me. But I have learned that these times only make me stronger. Have a great day!
Absolutely Randy! Diamonds are made under pressure - it's how we respond to these challenges which make the difference.
My wife died suddenly in 1994 when my boys were 8 and 15 years. Her sudden loss taught me how precious and fragile our lives are but how important it is to LIVE LIFE!

Yummy wisdom! Nutrition for the soul. Counting blessings is not a tally but a practice of appreciation. Matter of fact and matter of growth. Beam me up RG.
I agree you compeletly .thank you Randy.xx
Randy,
I learned many years ago that these moments are a must in life, so I started to call them "character building moments". As a result I have been able to help many people live more freely.
Thanks for your words,
Sheila
