Celebrate the Dreamers

Posted By: Randy GageSeptember 27, 2011

Of course you know we need mechanics, doctors and accountants.  But do you realize we also need sculptors, musicians, painters, dancers, writers, actors and poets just as bad, if not more?  These people are the dreamers.

Celebrate the dreamers.  And own your own dream…

You up for that?

  1. My family comes from Denmark, which as you know, is a very small country. In a world of big competition, Denmark has retained an incredible edge in manufacturing and design, from furniture to electronics and buildings.
Denmark considers the Arts as a critical component of their identity and success. If you are a poet, musician, dancer, writer, sculptor... you are financially supported by the Danish government and encouraged to create, to dream. The Queen paints, writes, designs costumes for the Royal Ballet and designed a silver spoon collection. Everyone contributes and the collective cache of brilliance makes Denmark outstanding in an otherwise plastic, "Wally World".

  2. But very few "dreamers" can make a living in the real world...Always easy to make these staements in the warm cussion of a first world country. Come down and look here in Africa...the real harsh world does not support the "dreamer", the poet or the writer.

    1. Pieter, that is true. The world doesn't support the dreamer. That is why you must support yourself. Please don't look for reasons to become a victim, as the world offers far too many of them. As James Allen would teach, look for the hidden justice which regulates your life. Build yourself up with strong and noble thoughts, celebrate your artistic elements, and look for ways to provide value.

Don't rail against circumstances, but use them as aids for your progress - as a means for discovering the hidden powers and possibilities within yourself.

      1. All successful peeps are dreamers! They follow their dreams relentlessly.
The doc that dreamt of replacing valves in the heart or doing surgery with robotics, the people developing vehicles and systems that are more energy efficient, the guy that made it possible for everyone to afford a computer, the phone you can use while walking around then use while out of home then access the internet while out of state on the road.....
What a person can dream can be! Open your reality to dreams then your dreams can become reality!!

      2. Thank you for the reply Randy.

I agree one should never play the victim. My reasoning is just that its far easier for people in first world countries to live their dreams. Reality in Africa is different. I am from South Africa where things are a bit better than the rest of the continent, but still most people live in unimagined poverty. I am one of the luckier one’s with a middle management "good paid" job. BUT I have to keep that job at all costs, only to live a modest existence in a small 2 bedroom flat. Work becomes 10-12 hours a day including traffic just to keep the existence. A work I hate doing and the stress is literally eating up my health. At 34 I am already struggling with health problems.
I know this sounds like the victim card, but the option to live a dream is just not that reality. And everywhere you turn on the net people are trying to sell you a way out. Just start this or that and everything will work out. I paid allot of money for these schemes and nothing even when I focused hard worked out. So yes I am still a dreamer, but reality is a bitch… Anyhow maybe “destiny” took me to this site and this blog. I bought your book last night on Kindle (like i SAID I am one of the luckier ones) “How to build a Multi level money machine” – So maybe I was suppose to be ranting on this site! Lol
        Thank you for listening!

  3. Hi RG,

The dreamers change the world like no others.

Specifically, the practical dreamers. People who see spectacular realities before these realities are manifest, and take each step to make the dreams, realities.

I dream quite often. I set aside time to see things the way I intend for them to be and listen to the silent instruction of the Universe. I am never steered wrong when I dream and listen to the whispers. When I stray from my imagination and use logic alone, I am punished. So much easier to picture, and move into inspired, light action, no matter how uncomfortable this feels from time to time.

Dream. Do. Keep dreaming and doing, to make your dreams come true.

    Thanks!

    Ryan

  4. I was driving home from work the other day ( I love my work btw) and I asked the Universe a question while I was at a stop light. "How can I receive more money?" It only took about the lenght of the light turning green to get the answer.
"Become a creator! People who create things get paid big-time". (Now of course that's a belief, and what a great belief to have!) By the time I got home I had dreamed up at least 5 things I could create that would add value to the world at large and allow me to receive money. 🙂

  5. Yes I am up for that!

Sometimes I wish I could delete some things I have written on this forum though...so not being able to keeps me away. If you ever edit it would you consider giving us that option?

  6. How can we live the dream if we don't have one? I envision living my dream every day and take steps toward achieving it through being grateful, maintaining my vision and purpose and above all, holding the Thought, the Truth, in spite of all appearances.

He who loses friends, loses much.. He who loses money, loses more.. He who loses Faith, loses all.

As Dr. Martin Luther King said in his legendary speech.. "I have a dream!.." Let us ALL have one too!

Thanks Randy.. Great reminder once again!

  7. We all have to be driven by our dreams. If we don't continuously dream and then take action to make those dreams reality we will become people whose destiny is determined by others - no thanks - been there done that - no more. There will be disappointments along the way but you learn to manage those and remember that you need to own your dreams and then make them come true. Of course a little (or a lot) of help from Randy Gage along the way is always a bonus!

  8. Yes, we are dreamers, and sometimes if we do nothing our lifes floats away in the dream-stream.We have to wake up, so that we can be able to dream for real!
