Cause You Got to Have Faith!

Posted By: Randy GageDecember 12, 2011

I put the following status update on my Facebook fan page:  Step one: dream. Step two: believe. Step three: get out and hustle!

It resonated with a lot of people.  It's a simple enough equation.  So why don’t more people do this?

Because they lack faith.

They are missing that inner knowing that allows them to move past their fears.  Faith allows you to move forward when you’re not sure, fearful, or don’t have the perfect plan.  It’s a faith in knowing that it’s all good, and everything is Divine order.

When you have faith, you expect good things to happen.  And when you expect good things to happen, they do!

  1. Hope you were quoting that atrocious George Michael song in jest.. but get your point.. I remember a tape from a guy who was in a MLM I was in.. unique guy, already a millionaire but got in as he saw it as a vehicle to help people.. and the enthusiasm, funny insights, just grabbed you... man, when these products catch on, it's going to be scary.. didn't happen, but I got the message.. enthusiasm and faith work..

  2. With all your coaching and the Lord backing me up, I would not know where to put my face if I do not make it. (not likely) am sure you are having fun time in Syd and that is wonderful! Thanks Randy

  3. As Tim Tebow said after Sunday's improbable win, "we believe the unbelieveable is possible." Say what you want about Tebow, he believes!

  4. Faith gets a bad rap.

You can't touch faith, you can't prove it with logic or reason.

Faith isn't safe or predictable, it can be driven by emotion or intuition.

Sometimes what you believe in is improbable in the minds of the average person, maybe even yourself.

There is always a reason why you can't do it, it's even worse when you listen to other people, many of whom are unhappy or not very well-off.

They may give you advice which steers you away from what you know in your heart is right; they may outright hurt you.

    You may come to internalize:

    "You're too young/old.
    Don't have the right connections.
    Don't have the right education.
Don't have the right amount of money.
    You don't have enough experience.
    You are not good enough"

To an extent, these are true. As true as you believe them to be.

But, I urge you to have faith in what matters to you.

What matters to you will carry you when you feel alone and afraid.

When people ridicule and demean you.

When they discourage you from even trying, or tear you apart for failing.

The difference between them and you is:

    You live, and you dream.

You see the world which can be created if people take a leap.

It is for you, you people that will Move The World, that I am working on some music.

This is our world, the world we create.

    1. "It is for you the people who will Move The World, that I am working on some music" Are you making music for everyone, or just the people who will move the world? Or do you think everyone moves the world?

    1. A good start would be to have faith in something small.

This would reduce the risk and the fear associated with the risk.

I am sure that there would be something small people could try. A tiny dream or part of a larger dream.

  5. "Expecting" great things is a great force. But it's a bit tricky to get it.

    That's how I understand it-

"A cat waiting outside the rat hole ready to pounce." That's the picture of 'expecting things you want to happen' You have to absolutely 'ready' to receive it. Because if you are not ready, just like the cat in that pounce-ready stance, you'll miss the thing.

    Peace.

  6. I am not afraid ... Randy

I am working on something, you can see on youtube channel at weekend ...

Yes, it is about how a win over fear. Because I realize that this is thing which can help with many people ... would be stepping out of line.

Maybe you resonate because people knows you from videos? Or books or FB?

Yes there was a fear ... But What can happen? Experience :o)

I have not perfect plan how I will move to the U.S., improving English, what kind of job I will do, who I will meet with as a friend ... etc.., but I know that I am already there!

One occasion I opened already and I know that I'm on the right track. It's a big leap into the unknown, I looked at it however I'm looking forward: o)

    Take care,
    Marketa

    1. We will always have fear and doubts.

We have fear and doubts to keep us from being eaten by lions on the savannah.

There will always be someone to negatively criticize or stop you.

However, there will also be people who believe you deserve to do work which moves you and makes you prosperous.

      1. Thank you. I like your expression.
Yes there are doubts and fears..., but I realize that by looking forward I am not focusing on them. So don´t feel them so much to paralize me to do the step...

    1. Karim,

      Thank you.

It took me awhile to realize that while I can blame other people for standing in the way, and for not taking risks or taking the wrong ones, like so many of us do.

I let my lack of faith in myself getting in the way of doing what was right for me, rather than what other people thought I should do.

I used to beat myself up for having turned 30 in September for screwing up so horribly, but I've decided to put faith back into me.

Old enough to have some experience, still young enough to do something.

  7. You know Randy, it's pretty interesting you posted this today.

We are developing a story to be told in a 'rock-mentary' format and met today with someone who'd been involved in engineering and producing music and video, though focused in certain types. He appears to be one of these people that views Life as struggle and challenge. He pulled up in a total beater car, dressed like he didn't know where his next meal would come from, and seems to think that there's no investment money out there to fund projects. In other words, he lacks Faith.

After the meeting, I said to my colleague, "He doesn't get the basic thing about Life, which is to say that how you view it is how it will show up".

So if we lack Faith in our vision and dream, what shows up is exactly what this guy was saying; nothing. On the other hand, if we hold to our vision KNOWING that it's already done, we achieve what we set out and much more.

It's these constant reminders, doing the work and taking the necessary action that make it happen. And without Faith in the Universe and ourselves, we rob the world of contributing our purpose.
