Blessing Yourself and Others…

Posted By: Randy GageJune 9, 2009

Each morning when I do my cardio, I also say a prayer.  I have a long list of people in my prayers.  When I pray for them, I know that their highest good is already destined to be.  I simply affirm it.

Why not take some time today and hold some positive thoughts for others?

If you are holding a vision of a healing for someone, don’t think of disease.  If you are praying for someone’s prosperity, give no thoughts to poverty.  Instead, hold a vision of the good you wish for them.  Things that are not for our highest good will always disappear into the nothingness from where they came.

Spend the day grateful for the blessings of others.  And you’ll attract more to yourself.

  1. To everyone who reads this blog, and to the people who are important to them... and to everyone who doesn't read it too-

    May you be:

    Happy
    Healthy
    Wealthy
    and Successful

  2. My comment is really only somewhat related to this subject but it does have to do with having (or not having) the proper mental attitude when receiving a gift or blessing.

Please accept my apologies for the length of this post but it is a "long story" that I have to tell.

Recently I booked a roundtrip airline flight from Panama City Panama (PTY) to Fort Lauderdale (FLL). My fare was only $13 each way - $26 total round trip plus taxes of about $77 - TOTAL ROUNDTRIP fare of only $103 and change!!! Note: I also talked with a fellow passenger who paid only 9 bucks each way plus taxes.

Instead of thinking to myself - Thank You God for this Blessing & Gift - I instead thought to myself (Stinken Thinken) " How can an airline offer fares this cheap? - they have to give on something... perhaps maintenance? - Not Good!"

Sure enough the flight from PTY to FLL was uneventful, but the return flight was a real nightmare (but I guess it could have been worse - no one was hurt or killed!!!)

My flight was suppose to leave from FLL at 11:16 on Saturday June 6 & I would be back in PTY at about 1 AM. An airplane flying in from Tampa was to be used to fly us from FLL to Panama, however the incoming plane from Tampa was delayed because of weather & there was an announcement that our flight would now depart at 12:38 AM Sunday -

Finally after the plane from Tampa arrived they started to board the passengers, but part way thru the boarding process they stopped the boarding & asked the passengers that were on the plane to get off the plane because of a maintenance problem...

Then when we were finally all back on airplane the 1st take off attempt was aborted and the Pilot announced that we were returning to the gate because a warning light went on during our take off.

Maintenance men came on to the plane & eventually the Pilot announced that everything was fine and we would attempt take off #2... but the 2nd take off attempt was also aborted because of a mechanical issue and we returned to the gate again.

Now a number of passengers asked to get off the airplane - everyone was advised that if they did in fact get off the airplane they were on there own - as the flight was NOT officially cancelled. Some passengers got off the plane and of course because of the current terrorism alert, when a passenger is removed from a plane his/her checked baggage must also be removed.

After all the appropriate bags were removed the flight was then officially CANCELLED - This was at about 5 AM or so - about 6 hours after the flight was originally scheduled to leave.

I'm not even going to tell you about the poor service that we received after the flight was cancelled - The airline was supposed to provide hotel rooms, transportation and rebooking of flights - NOT!!! and I also a won't tell you about the other problems I encountered but I will tell you that I finally arrived safely back in Panama at 7PM on Monday June 8, 2009 about forty-two (42) hours later than planned - :(!

Be it as it may I personally believe that I may have brought this tale of woe upon myself with my stinken thinken with regard to the cheap airfare - instead of my being more open to receiving such a blessing & gift.

  3. Thank you, Randy! That was one of your best posts ever. I'm so grateful for you and your work. I'll definitely commit to doing the same every day. The best to you also!

  4. I live at the foothils of the Alpine mountains, in a valley that came into existence when the glacier melted away thousands of years ago. A river runs through it and there's a lake with a little island and a church on it. Imagine the view from the higher grounds!

Every morning, six hours before Randy does his morning exercise, I walk my German shepherd. We usually climb the nearest hill and a giant rock on which another little church was built. The path gets very steep sometimes and thus offers a good interval cardio indeed! After a stroll around the church which helps me catch my breath and easy my heartbeat, my dog lies in the shadow and I sit on a wooden bench on a place that overlooks the whole valley. Sometimes it's sunny, sometimes veiled in mist but always looking majestic.

Then I bring people into my mind and start to pray. I pray for those that are close to me, for those who enspire me, for those who openly hate me and especially for those my prayer is the only thing they can get that day. I thank God for my existence, for all the experiences I'm given every day and ask him for his discontinued wisdom and guidance in the future.

And when I finish all my prayers, I realize, that it was not them, I prayed for, that benefited most, but myself. It fills my heart with love and joy and that's why I always tell ya, folks, that life is good! Randy knows that too, right Randy?

    Love, Natasa

  6. I love you Randy.
you show me the right path of life.
    you saved me from poverty.
I ask you to tell me that how I can thank you for saving me from poverty.
I ask God to give prospeious to you two times more than now.
    now for this comment:
If we help people and and pray for them to be prosperious, God help them and us and give us prosperity.
I believe that if God help us and give us properity, except us to help poor people. we live for the God's satisfactory.
    I love you Randy Gage.
