Beliefs That Serve You

Posted By: Randy GageJanuary 8, 2010

It’s a love/hate thing.  First, I love to confront people about the hypocrisy, lack and negativity in their organized religion because it’s such easy pickings.  It’s like shooting fish in a barrel.

On the other hand, I hate it because so often they have such a knee-jerk, emotional response they can’t interact back with you with any logic or sense.   They’re so defensive of the dogma they’re defending, that they can no longer think rationally.

So I broached the subject in yesterday’s post with some trepidation...

I feel called to do so, because I see organized religion as one of the guiltiest perpetrators of lack and limitation programming in the world.  (Much worse than even subliminal media programming.)  Millions of people are mired in victim mentality and poverty consciousness because of the core beliefs they learned from organized religion.

Most organized religions are a long way from Godly principles.  There is nothing Spiritual about the hate and intolerance spread by many of the fundamentalist factions.  Many are just typical cults, led by fanatical people who are mentally ill.

And for you to really experience the breakthroughs we’re looking for here – you must counteract the lack programming you get from anywhere, even if they come from your place of worship.

One of the scariest things about programming is that most of your core, foundational beliefs are in place by the time you’re ten years old.  This is particularly true of most religious beliefs.  And since many of them are fear-based and emotionally charged, most people never question them the rest of their lives.

So what about you?

What are the core beliefs you have about prosperity and abundance?  Do you believe you are born worthy of health, happiness and wealth, or were you programmed that your rewards come in an afterlife, or only after meeting some requirements of a higher power?

Please give that some serious thought and check in below.  Then we’ll continue the discussion in some future posts.

  1. Randy, I haven't been in a church for years due to all the things you are putting forth. I tried a few here and there and usually one visit was all I needed to see what was being done.

Between the fears I got from my mother and the Baptist church I was forced to attend, I have spent many years overcoming the fears instilled in me when I was a child.

A saving grace when I was raising my family alone, (by choice)was a Bible Church that had a daily message I could dial in from my home that helped lift me from the discouragement I dealt with on a daily basis. The blessings come in many ways.

  2. Randy, thanks for a great post which makes us "think." I believe God made us to think, otherwise, why a brain? Regarding the denomination I belong to, I often say it is not a cult but some people treat it as though it is. In other words, they are blind followers of dogma, rather than looking to the God it is all pointing to.

  3. So many I have experienced are parrots of something they have no deeper understanding of, which is fine, but what's not fine is that not only do they not question it - they come from the annoying assumption that it is the ONLY *right* religion in the world.

Which, kinda makes everything else wrong by default. I find it totally distasteful, so I generally avoid places of worship altogether - preferring to pray & study in the peace of my home.

I feel that this needing to be right thing is the true cause of all the disharmony in the world, & it's a handy, dangerous reason to gain control by a bunch of fanatical maniacs.

So, my problem is not with religion, my problem with it is when it is used to cause divisions and people allow it to happen; when it's powered by fear and greed vs love. There's nothing holy about that.

Growing up in a country (and family) with multi-racial & multi-cultural beliefs, this is a very sensitive issue. My stand, God is everywhere - don't disrespect him by disrespecting his creations, which include each other.

Much love & peace to all, and thanks RG for taking on this controversial issue. xoxo - J

  4. I believe that everyone's relationship with God is totally personal.

The hatred, division, judgment, exclusion, and in extreme cases death that has been caused by religion is disgusting.

I think that most of us have been conditioned to believe that being poor is noble and spiritual, and that being rich is something close to evil. It's really a pretty sick outlook.

Life is intended to be abundant in all areas. The more we can focus on the Godly principles of love, forgiveness, and faith, the closer we are to living a full and meaningful life.

    That's my nutshell take...

  5. i just gave up on a church that was speaking Worth of All Persons from the pulpit, and print, but didnt Walk that talk. The trouble with churches is that they are full of people, and people are trained to be full of so many false beliefs about other people. They dont even recognize or realize that they have so many preprogrammed yuck things in their heads, and when they come to that realization- most are really disturbed by it.

  6. RIGHT ON!!!! THANK YOU!!!!

Religion was never pushed on me, but some family members tried to get me to go to church I have probably been about 10 times in my entire life... and I was sitting there coloring in coloring books with my cousin..... not quite paying any attention. My Grandfather took me when I was a child in Miami to see the monks... or something like that... brown robes... anyway....

We are all born unto ourselves, once we are able to work our minds and create thoughts we are able to control our results.

My core belief about prosperity and abundance.... well... I certainly do not buy into a 'cult' or wish upon a star for it to become reality... although I used to believe I would get it just because I felt I deserved it as repayment for my past experiences. I know that will never happen. I believe you must really want it and do what it takes to get it and keep it.

Even though alllllll my life both my parents, and even friends told me that I "live in a dream world". Which did affect me and caused me to lower my standards in terms of what I wanted in life. Not anymore.... I can have what ever I put my mind towards. I am worthy!

"You only live once, this is not a practice run. There are no do-overs." - Not sure, but a friend used to tell me that all the time. I think it finally sunk in. 😉

I refuse to one day when it's too late, wish to myself that I had done more, or taken more chances. Most of all I refuse to sit in old age and look back and think of what could have really been had I just listened to that little voice inside, the one that has sounded muffled for so long now. I have been trying to invoke my childhood free spirit, go back to the energy, curiosity, the innocence. Back to the days when dreams were so easily envisioned, back to the purest of my imagination, when there were no such things as limitations. There never were either/or questions, it was always both... and then some more...

There is a little voice inside your head... and she/he controlls everything you do..... The funny thing is though... YOU controll that little voice.... that voice has been programed to tell you certain things at certain times, thousands of tiny little thoughts a day. Oh... by the way... it's not God or whomever, speaking as your thoughts and controlling your actions... IF however you really DO hear "God" speaking to you, and "HE" is telling you to do things... then I would highly recommend you seek psycho-therapy soon.

I absolutely love the subject you are on... I agree 100%

    Jamie 😉

  7. I beleive we are all born with abundance it is our own negative thoughts of not being good enough that is counter to what we were born into we need to let our own light shine to give permission to others to do the same Marianne Williamsons book A Return To Love,is a must read.

  8. Freya Holtrop Since my mother wasn´t allowed to be in love with a catholic boy (she being protestant) she decided that her three children had to make their own choice. My brother is Ateic, but married with a catholic woman. My sister became a member of the Anglican Catholic Church and I became a member of the only protestant church ...that allowed people of all other religions to attend their services. We learned very early to accept and respect ALL other forms of religion and I must say that thus the world seems to be a happier place. And it gives me freedom of action and freedom to use my own brain and act accordingly.

  9. Randy,
The Bible is rich with encouraging stories about money, prosperity and God's desire to bless His children. In those stories the people involved were hard workers, wise stewards and acted on opportunity. Abraham became one of the richest men in the world, a Prince among men and was to be our example. Joseph is another. Talk about prosperity thinking. (kind of like your story?) The "church" in the dark ages learned that it could control the masses by keeping them ignorant and broke, while it became rich and powerful. Bibles that taught freedom and prosperity were burned. Only the church could give you "guidance". When that didn't work anymore they twisted the stories to suit them, such as the story about "it being easier for a camel to go thru the eye of the needle (which is a gate in Jerusalem) than a rich man to go to heaven. It had me worried for a long time too. It makes it sound like a rich man is cursed somehow. The only curse is making money your idol, the thing to be loved and sought after above all others. Rockefellar once was asked, "how much is enough?" He answered,"Just a little more". Will he ever have enough to be happy? I now understand that money is a tool and the more tools you have the better job you can do and the more people you can help. I now believe the concept that there is never a lack of money or opportunity. That it doesn't need to be hoarded or feared/hated and that as I share it, use it, invest it; it will return to me in abundance. So send your dollars to ......Just kidding.

  10. I'd like to think that my core beliefs are about prosperity and abundance, but my life results tell a different story. My Dad is an athiest and my mother was brought up in a religious environment, but she said that the only reason she enjoyed going to church was to sing. My parents decided that my sister and I could choose our own faith, if we wanted one at all. Thankfully we haven't had to deal with lack programming from religious sources. I have however noticed that my mother's upbringing in WW2 did cause her to be very stingy. I've had to work on letting go of this attitude myself and being more willing to spend more and throw more things out instead of trying to recycle or 'make do' with broken or worn out things. I find that when I do so, I feel much relieved. It's a much easier and more pleasant way of living life.

  11. Well, shit.
Randy. I swear, it could've almost been me writing these last few posts! 🙂

I think all of this is best summed up by Eric Butterworth in "Spiritual Economics", in regards to the "Ask and it is given" from the Bible.

Butterworth makes the distinction between "ask" as in supplicating and begging please for a few crumbs, and "ask" in the sense that you go into it knowing it is done unto you because it's in accordance with The Law.

The quote Butterworth gives which speaks the truth beautifully is "You ask for light by flipping the switch".

  12. I see this really cool thing happening now and as we move towards 2012.....I see so many people either questioning their religion as an organization (not that fact that God exists) or they are becoming more open to a all-good, He-wants-nothing-but-the-best-for-you type of deal.

Like business has cycles, I see religion having them too. If you look back in history to the Romans, they didn't practice faith in mass churches but in their homes privately. Each home had a room, a temple. Though statues of Gods and Deities were everywhere, it was a private issue. I see our times moving back towards that again, which to me is a wonderful thing.

A few months ago I was in Vegas doing some training with 3 other ladies, 2 of whom are very "Christian". On our way out of town there is a billboard with a pix of Jesus on the Cross and it says "Jesus, the only way to get to God." Of course I opened my mouth to comment. "I don't think thats true! I think that's brainwashing for folks leaving the casinos." I laughed. Almost immediately 1 of the women ( good Catholic) took issue with me and started throwing bible verses at me. I just smiled because I knew I had pushed some button and asked her what she had to convince me I was wrong if she didn't have her bible. She told me she would pray for me....lol. I said to her,"It's Ok. I spoke to God this morning and I'm good with Him." I could tell the other ladies in the car were smiling hotly even though quiet.

  13. At a very basic level I disagree with everyone and everything here.

Arguing for your side of the train car, arguing that your car has the best view, arguing that the cars in front or the rear are best because....

Does not change where the train is headed.

This is the same nonsense spouted on all sides regarding every so called significant issue currently in vogue. ALL of them keep you stuck inside some bubble with a group of your choosing who believe and see as you do. Some think if they exist in a bigger bubble that is the answer.

This is not new. In the second half of the 70's, 49 Americans held hostage in Iran kept the plight and carnage of 2 million Cambodians out of the news. The focus on 'being right' about some position or belief guarantees it is a lie or at best you are.

The truth must be lived, not believed. You cannot explain, describe or even show someone how to ride a bicycle AND have them know how to ride. Until you get on the bike and potentially hurt yourself or do, discovering balance there is not possible. Reading scripture or attending a church is not much different than visiting a car dealership thinking that makes you a car or truck. Rich people and poor people find value OR their excuse everywhere. Claiming your experience of falling off the bike proves that bikes are evil does not make that true! People use the same arguments against MLM and Network Marketing.

Suppose you don’t die tomorrow… THEN WHAT? The good news is YOU WILL survive no matter what happens. What if you risked your life on something greater than being right about some new or old meaningless position?

  14. I was raised in a Church that taught with fear and the thought that the afterlife was where we would finally have our rewards. However, my dad never seemed to believe that way. He and my mom always believed in my brother and I and that if we tried anything we could accomplish it. So I grew up hearing what was taught but seeing what my parents preached. Needless to say I was confused because I wanted to follow God. However, I just could not bring myself to believe that we were put here to live in lack and misery. At 44 it is still hard to tear away from those early teachings. Thanks Randy for your help. Your posts give me hope to keep moving in the direction of prosperity.

  15. I consider myself fortunate to have found 2 different churches in 2 different cities that encourage the parishioners to strive for excellence in all areas of their life. I took a class as a new member several years ago where I was taught that the way to Heaven is indeed through your belief, but God rewards your efforts here once you believe. Throughout the bible there are multiple references on being good stewards of our money. God wants us to make it grow so that we may then give in His name. I do know many who believe the opposite and rely on the old adage that the love of money is the root of all evil. I truly believe that it is not what you have, but how you use it that matters. I want to prosper so I am better able to help others do the same.

  16. I left the church I grew up in as soon as I could because I disagreed with a lot of things. I then started to look at other churches to find one I could agree with. I even took religion in college to learn more about different religions. I eventually found a large Non-Denominational Bible Church when I was living in the DC area. Since then I usually look for similar churches where ever I am living. Right now I haven't found one yet where I am currently living.

I believe God wants us to be prosperous but we have to choose to be prosperous. I believe I am worthy of health, happiness and wealth. I chose to be healthy, happy and wealthy. I also chose (and continue to choose) to make big changes in my life to work towards being healthy, happy and wealthy.

"As a man thinketh within himself, so he is." (Proverbs 23:7)

I think some religions program us that our "rewards come in an afterlife, or only after meeting some requirements of a higher power." I know I received lack programming from the church I went to when I was younger. I have recognized some of it in the past and continue to recognize lack programming when it comes up.

I have thought for a long time that some things in the Bible may be misinterpreted.

For example, "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 5:3). I think that poor in spirit does not mean poverty, but instead means humble and receptive to receiving prosperity. Maybe when we experience a failure we are more humble and open to prosperity?

Another example is the "love of money is the root of all kinds of evil." (I Timothy 6:10). We need to remember that God is the source of our prosperity and not to worship money. There is nothing wrong with money or wanting to have it. I have set financial goals and when I achieve them I set bigger goals.

"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. "(Matthew 7:7)

Just thinking right now that it sounds a little similar to: Setting goals, working toward goals and achieving goals

I am just started reading "The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity" by Catherine Ponder. I recommend it for anyone who wants prosperity.

  17. My core beliefs are of health, happiness and wealth. What has been attempted over the years is the programming of waiting until I am dead to enjoy an afterlife in heaven. As a child growing up and reading all of the books that I have read over the years, I have always had a very hard time accepting that premise of waiting until I am dead to enjoy all of the things that I did not have while I was alive. I believe that having material possessions is the culmination of prosperity, health, happiness and wealth right here on earth. I believe that being able to take my children on vacations is something that we could have now. I also do not believe in a lot of what I have been programmed into believing either and yet there is some degree of programming in everything that we do in our lives on a daily basis.

  18. Organized religions insist on conformity. Every religion proclaims it is the only one that works. This idea has caused division, discrimination and religious battles.

  19. I agree that we shouldn't wait until we are dead to enjoy the afterlife. It is similar to people waiting until they retire to enjoy life. I've known several people who retired, moved to their dream house in their dream location and then they died and were unable to enjoy what they worked for their entire life. This could be because of attitudes or programming. Maybe just a change in attitude is needed. I have been working on changing from mainly achieving in my career to achieving prosperity (peace, health, happiness and wealth/material possessions). I am going to start using some daily affirmations to help me with this.

"be transformed by the renewing of your mind" (Romans 12:2)

I also believe that we can enjoy life now and we do not need to wait for retirement or the afterlife.

  20. That is the exact comment I would have made, but it was already done for me. The Bible is full of stories and advice that does encourage propsperity. But I never believed in a creator we have to worship.

  21. OMG!!!!!!!! These posts of yours Randy, are perfect timing for me.
I was brought up very strict Catholic, believing all the things you mentioned in the last part of the post. I was unhappy a lot of the time, subconciously struggling with the strict teachings and wondering WHY I wasn't considered worthy of enjoying happiness, prosperity and abundance; which I felt I DID deserve. After all, why live in this earth only to not enjoy anything that is here??? I didn't begin to seriously question any of it till about 8 years ago, and since then have struggled with trying to find what exactly is the truth, for me.
That is, until I was watching one of your YouTube video's on Prosperity, where you mentioned the book, "The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity". I went online straight away and ordered it and even though I haven't read it all the way through I'm SO excited by the concepts and have begun to put them into practice.
This is definately much more ME and I can't wait to see the ongoing results!
    Thank you so much Randy!
    Claire

  22. We read all of your "stuff" Randy from all of your sites. We don't see the point of you bringing GOD or religion or a HIGHER POWER into anything that has to do with Network Marketing and how can you bring all of the above in and then ask people to leave it out of thier responses?

Please go to youtube when you have some time, which we know you have little of, and check out "behind the song by your side" by 10th Avenue North and when your done with that, check out the SONG "by your side" by 10th avenue north.

It may help you with what you're searching for.

Please let us know what you think.

    By your side,

    Bob and Pam

  23. Sorry Pam and Bob...I thought this was the 'Success and Prosperity Blog' and Randy had another blog exclusively for MLM stuff. Unless God has nothing to do with success and prosperity, I thought Randy bringing in a higher power into his blog posts was more than fair and warranted.

  24. Randy - Stellar subject. I love your thoughts. This topic is not spoken with such honesty nearly enough. Here's my take.

Interesting to note that the word religion came from the Latin word for 'binding' aka.. used in bondage. Ah.. it's all making sense now!

The church would have us conform, limit ourselves, as been said numerously within these comments - this means, for us to truly serve God, it would make sense that we should host a Bible Study, lead a small group, teach in Sunday School, stand behind the pulpit once or twice a year, or at least make a flippin' casserole for the potlucks.

This conformity does lead to a fear-mongering strategy, and many people are literally afraid to do anything more than have food and some covering for themselves (1 Timothy 6:8) because it may show discontentment, (Oh, the horror) and display lack of commitment to the ministry of the church. (Heathen!)

Then, in the same breath, they talk about how they need more money for what they call, "God's work" and expect the same people they've programmed for lack to give what they have to store up treasure in heaven.

For this reason, I left the church years ago. I had no exposure to an abundance mentality. I couldn't even visualize what it would look like to be a part of a religious organization that encouraged abundance in people's lives.

It took learning from sources and mentors over a period of several years before I began to understand all that was going on.

Looking back on it, I come to a new understanding of what's really going on.

If the spiritual beings would break free from the false doctrines of lack and negativity and became truly aware of what they were capable of (through the power of thought, the understanding of abundance principles, etc), we would have a much stronger organization - one that could actually hold a healthy influence in this world.

I believe that 'saving the lost' is NOT having your church cook hotdogs and burgers at a rodeo for a fundraiser, or taking the youth group to the World Water Park. At this time, organized religion is the lost that needs saving. The 'pagans' have it together more than we do! (Generalizing of course, Randy! You're NOT a pagan.)

    Blessings to all!
    Paul

  25. I do not believe the church I grew up in made me feel unworthy. I understand that it could make people feel unworthy. I disagreed with the church I grew up in and I had to leave the church because I could not conform. The church wasn't my choice but I had the choice to leave. I have had to make choices to let go and move-on throughout my life but it was not because I felt I was unworthy. I made the choices because I believed I was worthy.

I believe I do have excellence and value. I had a choice to go in different directions for my career and I may have chose the wrong direction but I still achieved and added value. I accept that I am always going to have a little bit of discontent because I will always want to be more, to continue to learn, grow and improve myself and to be my best. I can be happy and achieve prosperity.

The churches I have been attending encourage people to find out their strengths and give back to the community. It is a choice to give back to the community, just as it is a choice to post on this blog. It is not required but the community can benefit.

I also recommend Randy's videos on prosperity.

  26. Some interesting comments here. I went back and re-read Randy's post and am focused on the question posed..."What are the core beliefs you have about prosperity and abundance?" Mine go back to the simple statements that many of us heard from our parents - Money doesn't grow on trees...or my father's simple favorite when I would ask for a few bucks to do things with my friends...What, do I look like I'm made of money to you? My own situation is one where I have a larger income, but I am still basically broke. In my mind that absolutely, positively has to do with core beliefs. So, how does programming play into that? I grew up in a home where what was preached and what was actually followed were two VERY different things and today I can't help but notice that very thing in most churches I have attended. The message goes something like this...You, my friends are a sorry sack of sinners and can only be saved from yourself by God's grace. You should be tithing or you may not receive all of God's favor (huh? I thought you just told me that God is omnipresent and I am always filled with all of His goodness from day 1), so in other words, He may like me now, but He will REALLY like me if I give just a little bit more? Then, after that message is delivered to me and the basket is passed, the preacher man/woman gets in their Benz and drives to the local airport and hops on the private jet to go off to another place that needs to hear their version of the gospel.

Is it just me, or does anyone else see a little bit of a problem with this message. So, what the hell is some one supposed to believe?

Whoa, this a "touchy" subject, but it is important to know what the core beliefs are...otherwise no way to change/modify them.

Just my 2 cents - now that is lack programming!!!! lol.

  27. I was programmed for a degree of abundance in my home(which I am grateful for, some people didn't get programmed for much), but not the radical abundance I seek. Church didn't program you for it at all, except in being radically abundant with your gifts to the church! I have learned as an adult that overflowing abundance is available. I just finished reading your book and am putting the practices to practice! A vacuum for love has been created and I am so looking forward to the love that will come to fill it. I am going to be the love dispenser also to create that energy! Thanks, you are AWESOME!!!!

  28. The toughest meme for me to break has been the religion-fueled 'self-sacrifice for the betterment of others'. Talk about destructive to one's self-worth!

Now, I believe it is entirely possible to create abundance and prosperity for myself through adding value to as many other lives as possible ... a quantum change, and a far cry from 'sacrificing' myself.

    Best to you,
    Scott

  29. So basically I am working on myself & renewing my mind. I have several things I am working on and I admit that I am not perfect. I am making positive changes in my life. No one can make these changes but me. It is no one's business but mine. If it is something I want to share because I think it will benefit others, I will. No one knows what is going on in another person's life. It is no one's job to judge me. If I need advice I will ask an appropriate person. The more positive I am, the more positive changes I can make. I ask that people give me the peace to make positive changes in my life. I am grateful for all the positive thoughts. I know everyone wants the best for me and I am thankful.

I wish everyone peace, health, happiness and wealth/material possessions.

  30. Randy,

I was never raised with any beliefs about money, God or even core. So for me I have chosen what I wanted to believe in and disregarded the rest. After reading the rest of the posts, I feel that I am very fortune to be the one who has the greatest freedom. Money, prosperty, God, religion and your self worth is a mind set. God provides if you believe in a God and he provides for all your needs and abundance now. I believe that God gives us the ability to use all of our talents to the greatest good of all including ourselves. So for me, beliefs are the ones we hold on to and want to defend against the rest of the people who disagree with us. Those who agree with us, sometimes I question their motives. To fit it, rebel or is it really their belief. For me prosperty is everyone's right. Where it comes from I believe is the ultimate question.

  31. I think behind everything Randy writes is a connection to higher power... or delicious juicy source of all.

To leave this OUT would be violating the spirit or heart of his work.

His only request is that people don't spam, or push or market their products.

He's not doing that at all here... Just simply sharing the belief behind his prosperity philosophy. I wonder what that brings up for you?

  32. I believe Iam a beloved son of the most High God who deserves abundance. i am eliminating all limiting and lack mentality in my life... thanks you for the insights.

  33. hi Randy;
as you noted above, some countries and governments try to program people's mind by the religion they make and say that it is recommended by God, but in fact they try to keep them poor and push it in their core belief that rich people are evil but the poor ones are spiritual and God examine his creatures by make them poor and God like those who are poor.
you Randy awakened me for the first time in the Palinure seminar in Dubai in 2008.
    best regards.

  34. I fully agree. Don't judge religion or the bible, by those who preach it. Many did twist the bibile in order to suit them.
The bible is stuffed with prosperity. At every turn, G-d promises physical wealth as well as an abundant of blessings. I believe that being threatened by the true teachings of religions is just as ignorant as being brain-washed by it......

  35. Great article, Randy.

I think you really hit the nail on the head when you mentioned that -- not only are our religious beliefs often the most negative and illogical -- but they're also some of the most difficult to confront because many of us have been carrying them since childhood.

It takes courage and an unflinching commitment to be "on purpose" in one's life. That is, to choose one's beliefs consciously and deliberately.....not just because it's something that got installed in the Junior Boys Sunday School class at a little Baptist church 20+ years ago.

The good news is that the payoff is huge. If one is really willing to take out their beliefs one-by-one and examine them with critical thinking and conscious deliberation......two things usually happen:

    A. You'll ditch a lot of beliefs that were never really yours to begin with

    B. And you'll have a great feeling of confidence in the beliefs you DO keep because they really are yours and you have your own reasons for having them.

Randy was one of the first people to assist me with this exercise -- I think it was the result of reading his Prosperity Series books. Great stuff.

-- "A relationship with God is the best thing in the world. Don't let religion screw it up." -- Frank Atkins

  36. I believe that God is the source of my prosperity.

One issue I am dealing with is that I haven't found a church yet. I need to find a church that I can go to consistently so that I can tithe.

Growing up I was taught to tithe but I had a negative view of the church just wanting money for their good.
In recent years I became aware that it was for my good to tithe and I had been tithing.

Both success and failure are the result of thought. So if you have failed at something, it is a good idea to examine the thoughts you have that lead you to failure. I have been looking at my recent failures and I know I need to make changes in my thinking. Your mind is the connecting link to prosperity.

In Catherine Ponder's book "The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity", she states that the practice of tithing is protection from negative experiences. "...When you put God first financially, you open your mind, body, and affairs to the goodness of the Universe; to its infinite life, love, wisdom, power and substance."

    Also from Catherine Ponder:
"through your acts of impersonal, unselfish giving you attune your consciousness to that of universal abundance, and you put yourself in line to receive its rich gifts."

"Tithing is an act of Faith"

Tithing can bring financial increase, harmonious progress in relationships and peace of mind.

"In tithe-giving, we are only returning to God a portion of all He has already given us."

You can't resent giving or make demands after giving.

    "Pray about your giving."

  37. One thing that I am dealing with is a very low vitamin D level which leaves me with low energy levels and feeling down. It will take several weeks to replenish my Vitamin D. I work on being positive every day.

This is from Catherine Ponder's book "The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity":
"But what a sense of freedom it gives you to realize that whatever you center your attention upon steadily, constantly and deliberately in your thoughts, feelings and experiences, forms the experiences of your life. When you realize this, life becomes easier, simpler and more richly satisfying. You then no long feel you have to argue, beg, reason, plead or appeal to anyone for your desired good. Instead you quietly go to work in your thinking to mentally choose, mentally accept and mentally radiate what you wish to experience in life."

    Also from Catherine Ponder:
"I am not discouraged. I am persistent. I go forward. I am determined to achieve success in God's own wonderful way for me."

  38. Randy has a good video on Tithing and Prosperity.
He says that you need to Tithe to the source of your spiritual nourishment. So I may not need to go to church. I could just give money to the source of my spiritual nourishment.

The problem is I like to go to church. I meet real people and build real relationships in church and outside of church. For example, I go out to dinner with people I've met at church.

    It is a choice.

  39. Randy's church is success and prosperity. There is nothing wrong with it. I guess it is better to have a good story instead of bad story but still in the realm of the mind-story telling.

  40. I fully agree. Don’t judge religion or the bible, by those who preach it. Many did twist the bibile in order to suit them.
The bible is stuffed with prosperity. At every turn, G-d promises physical wealth as well as an abundant of blessings. I believe that being threatened by the true teachings of religions is just as ignorant as being brain-washed by it……

  41. i believe i am worthy... hell ya!!! hehehe

i had troubles with org rel even when i was a youngin... lol... i could not understand the nuns and priest is telling me god is a just and loving god and all knowing and yet it seemed like every little thing can get a person sent to hell....

i thought if god i all knowing and smarter than me ( i was 7 at the time) then he surely knows this is a wack system... and from then i started to question the whole bible word of god thing...

now some 38 years later.... i still convinced more than ever org rel is a farce, and thinking we will be rewarded in the after life for something done here doesnt sit to well with me....

i see those "after life dudes" on tv and the ghost chaser dudes doing their chasing thing... and over the years NOT once have i heard of or seen a ghost sending a message from the other side telling us that the waters great hurry and cross over life on the other side is so much better ....

till i see that, i am pretty sure we are here now, living our lives here because THIS IS THE GAME.. AND NOT THE PREGAME SHOW OR DRESS REHEARSAL.....

    😀

    thats my two cents...

    love ya... peace out

  42. Hi there this is a good write-up. Can I use some of it with my own wellness and weight loss blog site? I'd naturally backlink to your blog so people can view the entire article if they wished to. Many thanks either way. Gabriella Rodriguez

      MS

    5. i just gave up on a church that was speaking Worth of All Persons from the pulpit, and print, but didnt Walk that talk.

    33. hi Randy;
as you noted above, some countries and governments try to program people's mind by the religion they make and say that it is recommended by God, but in fact they try to keep them poor and push it in their core belief that rich people are evil but the poor ones are spiritual and God examine his creatures by make them poor and God like those who are poor.
you Randy awakened me for the first time in the Palinure seminar in Dubai in 2008.
      best regards.

    41. i believe i am worthy... hell ya!!! hehehe

i had troubles with org rel even when i was a youngin... lol... i could not understand the nuns and priest is telling me god is a just and loving god and all knowing and yet it seemed like every little thing can get a person sent to hell....

i thought if god i all knowing and smarter than me ( i was 7 at the time) then he surely knows this is a wack system... and from then i started to question the whole bible word of god thing...

now some 38 years later.... i still convinced more than ever org rel is a farce, and thinking we will be rewarded in the after life for something done here doesnt sit to well with me....

i see those "after life dudes" on tv and the ghost chaser dudes doing their chasing thing... and over the years NOT once have i heard of or seen a ghost sending a message from the other side telling us that the waters great hurry and cross over life on the other side is so much better ....

till i see that, i am pretty sure we are here now, living our lives here because THIS IS THE GAME..
