Are You a Professional Victim?

Posted By: Randy GageJune 5, 2018

Do you still talk about bad ex-lovers, personal slights, or money you lost in business deals in the past?  What you may think is entertaining to others, or is simply expressing your frustration, is actually just you being a victim.

Do you believe that your financial challenges are the result of economic factors, government programs, crooked partners, your boss, or other outside factors?  If so, you are seeking to be victimized.

Do you ever talk about abuse you endured, things that were withheld from you, absence of love or affection, etc.  If you are talking about them with anyone other than a professional therapist, then you are wallowing in victim-hood.

Do you think I’m being unreasonable, and that some of the things I said above don’t really apply to you because you have extenuating circumstances?  Congratulations, you’re a professional victim!

Give this some real thought.  Then you can argue in the comments below if you want.  But I don’t think you’ll win…

  1. Dear Randy.
We all have our fair share of issues that stem from our past. There was a time in my life when I felt completely overwhelmed by them.
Then, one day, it occurred to me that I could take a very different view; that I actually chose my parents and all that came with them and their circumstances.
This notion gave me greater clarity, enabled me to let go of the things I could not change and, above all, a level of acceptance that really helped propel me forward in all aspects of my life.

  2. I thought I was sharing, this was a HUGE ah ha moment. Now reading for 4th day in a row to stay unstuck and move away from that negative mindset. Thanks

    Osiris Ani, triumphant, saith:
Hail, O my lord, who dost traverse eternity, and whose existence endureth for ever.
Hail, Lord of Lords, King of Kings, Prince, the God of gods who live with Thee,
I have come unto Thee Make thou for me a seat with those who are in the underworld, and who adore the images of thy ka and who are among those who [endure] for millions of millions of years. . . . . . . .
May no delay arise for me in Ta-mera.
Grant thou that they all may come unto me, great as well as small. Mayest thou grant unto the ka of Osiris Ani [the power] to go into and to come forth from the underworld; and suffer him not to be driven back at the gates of the Tuat."
